Intro:
Battle of English actresses now as up and coming contender Florence Pugh takes on one of the best fighters from England this past decade in Jenna Louise Coleman, is Florence ready for this test or is Jenna still that damn good? We find out in Melbourne's Docklands Stadium.

Heading into the fight Florence was asked for her thoughts by the FCBA Networks Layla Anna-Lee in the back stage area, Florence wearing a white tank top, blue denim jeans and black trainers, she looks excited as she tells Layla "pinch me! I mean look at this run of opponent's I am on, last month I got to face former FCBA flyweight champion Hayden Panettiere, now I get Jenna Louise Coleman, a former BBU flyweight champion" Layla smiles as she nods along.

"OK that's the excitable part of me out, now to be serious as my coaching team have put in all this effort to get me to this point, I feel like I am on the cusp of being a real contender around here, while it's a massive honour to fight you Jenna, I will be getting my hand raised tonight, I will march on towards a title fight" looking serious as she speaks, then giving Layla a pat on her shoulder with a warm smile before she turns to head off.

Jenna meanwhile turns up to her time slot wearing a white blouse, black jeans and black heels, she is more serious then Florence as she tells Layla "so Florence thinks she is ready for the big time, it was an impressive victory over Hayden, I'll give her props concerning that, I also saw her sloppiness to start that fight, for more then a decade I have shown that if you show a hint of weakness I knock you out; so Florence, I suggest you bring your best because I want a test tonight to warm me up for the real big fights" a verbal slap in the face to her opponent, heading off with purpose to her walk as clearly she is on a mission to stop the hype train around Pugh.

Fighting time, Florence comes through the curtain all smiles at the top of the aisle, she has her coach Gillian Anderson following her, Florence is wearing a white sports bra with black trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves, hair is braided as she climbs into the ring, shadow boxing as Gillian tells her to trust in herself.

Jenna now comes out onto the stage looking relaxed, at her right is her coach Julie Benz, who pats her on her back and Jenna begins to walk to the ring with an icy stare at the ring, she is wearing her traditional tardis blue sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, hair is braided too as she climbs into the ring, Jenna bouncing on her toes in her corner, stretching her arms as she looks ready for this fight.

Fighters walk to the middle of the ring, going nose to nose as Jenna looks to try to intimidate her younger foe, instead seeing an iron will similar to her own, the referee nudges them apart and tells them to touch gloves, Jenna forcefully pushes hers into Florence's, then they jog back to their corners, the bell then rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell they both come out in similar textbook stances, trading single punches as they dance in and out of range, Jenna though makes the first move to break the stalemate with a jab into the chest of her younger foe, followed by a right cross to her jaw, Florence moves back and lands a double jab into the face of Jenna, forcing the veteran to move back as Pugh shows it won't be that easy to push her around.

As they enter the second minute of the fight, Florence pushes the tempo after she lands a crisp one-two combo to the top of her opponents head, landing a follow up left cross as she shows off her quickness, Jenna needing to retreat back, Florence starting to control the action, landing two to the single punch being thrown at her, Jenna looks to be trying to work out a plan of attack as she keeps her gloves high.

Seeing that Florence switches to a double jab to the body, trying to open up the guard of Jenna, instead as she goes to the body again the veteran strikes back, Jenna landing an overhand right to the cheek of her opponent, then follows with a straight into her chest again, maybe trying to knock the focus of Pugh, who finds herself in a close up battle now as Coleman gets into her grill, the round ends with both nudging apart before walking past each other to their corners, Jenna chatting to Julie about what she learned this round, not sounding too impressed by her opponent even as most gave the round to Florence.

Round 2:
Opening up more now they are warmed up, Florence starting the stronger as she is landing the more flush combos, keeping Jenna at range for the most part with single punches coming back at her, the younger fighter looking the more energetic in these early stages.

But Jenna isn't some rookie, she parries away a jab to step in behind one of her own to the lips of Florence, then follows up with a right/left cross combo to the cheeks of the blonde, forcing back Pugh, who suddenly has a more forceful Coleman in her face, driving in punches to her midsection as she looks to break down her opponent, Florence now the one landing single punches in reply as the tables turn on her.

Pushing off Jenna as there's less then a minute to go, Florence lands a crisp one-two into the face of her smaller opponent, moving side to side more to stop Jenna closing her down as easily, Jenna though reads her movements easily, cracking Florence to the jaw with a right hook, then drives her into the ropes, where Jenna works the abs of Florence in the final ten seconds, drilling short punches in till the bell rings, Jenna jogging back to her corner not looking at all worried about her opponent, Florence meanwhile watches the confidence in her opponent and nods, knowing this isn't going to be a cakewalk.

Round 3:
Jenna is being more forceful, landing hard hooks to the ribs of Florence to make her grit her mouthpiece, Florence needing to give Jenna a little shove off, landing a double jab into the face of the brunette as she dances away from the ropes back towards the middle of the ring.

It looks like Coleman won't be denied for long, she keeps closing in on the blonde, targeting her body to take away some of the spring in her step, forcing Florence to clinch up to get the referee to break them up, giving Florence time to get into space, but she is working more off the back foot, unconsciously inviting the pressure on as Gillian doesn't look too pleased with her protégé.

Especially when Jenna dips under a jab and counters with an overhand left to her jaw, Jenna muscles Florence into a neutral corner, where she peppers the abs of Florence till she is held onto, the bell rings with the referee splitting them up, Florence is told off Gillian her mistakes, while the Lookout corner is more relaxed as Jenna simply sits with a smirk.

Round 4:
They resume with Florence starting to plant her feet more, trading with Jenna at midrange, with the crowd cheering as they watch both fighters heads get snapped back, Florence leans out the way of an overhand right, smacking a counter straight into the lips of Jenna before landing a short left cross to her jaw to back off the older woman.

Holding the middle of the ring, Florence is starting to drill in more punches through the guard of Jenna, busting the former champions bottom lip, Florence is looking good till Jenna is able to slip a straight and moves inside to ram in two short body shots, Florence pushing her back as she tries to show she is the stronger fighter.

Things starting to get a little scruffy as they head to the final minute of the round, heads clash when Jenna looks to force her way in closer, they touch gloves but the looks on their faces say they ain't sorry for the accident, instead they go more toe to toe, barks and groans heard as they fight it out, at the bell they just about hold back, eyes full of fury before they jog back to their corners, Jenna not so smug now as she touches her busted lip before Julie starts to work on it.

Round 5:
Trading more at midrange in flurries with their feet planted, there's more cracks of leather on flesh being heard, Florence leans out the way of a right cross, stabbing a jab back into the lips of her opponent to make her hiss, a left hook to the body of Florence stops her charging forwards as they retreat back a step, eyeing each other up as they can't seem to find a way to bully each other in these exchanges.

Jenna times her attack better this time as she dips under a jab to hammer in two left hooks to the body, then lands an overhand right to her opponents jaw, Florence finding herself being pinned against the ropes as Coleman swings in hooks, getting groans from the blonde till she can hold onto her.

Broken up with under a minute to go, Jenna is trying to keep the heat on Florence, she gets clipped with a left cross, then lands a straight into the chest of the younger fighter to push her back, they trade stiff punches as Jenna tries to work Florence back to the ropes, just before the bell she gets caught with a left hook onto her jaw, the round ends with both fighters walking to their stools with both women getting wiped down.

Round 6:
Out they come with both trying to smack their opponent with hooks, Florence dances back out the way of a left hook, landing a counter right to the temple of Jenna, there's a wobble to the knees of the brunette, FLORENCE LANDS AN UPPERCUT ON THE CHIN OF JENNA TO KNOCK HER TO HER BUM!

Florence jogs to the neutral corner with a small smile, watching Jenna as she taps her gloves together, 1...2...3... Jenna starts to push her way to her knees, shaking her head as she tries to clear it, 4...5...6... Jenna grabs the ropes trying to get to her feet, 7...8... Getting up with a slight stumble, Jenna raises her gloves to show she wants to fight, the referee let's her fight on.

As they resume the punches from Florence are finding there way through the mitts of Jenna to her face, knocking her back towards the ropes, Jenna gets hit by a right hook that shakes her up, THE TOWEL FROM THE LOOKOUT CORNER COMES IN! THEY DON'T WANT TO SEE JENNA TAKE MORE PUNISHMENT! REFEREE WAVING THE FIGHT OFF.

Winner Florence Pugh TKO Round 6

After:
Florence turns back to her corner with her arms in the air, Gillian climbing onto the apron, pumping her right fist in the air as she is ecstatic for her student, Jenna on the other hand needs helped over to her corner as her legs are like jelly, cursing under her breath at being beaten by Florence to force her corner to throw in the towel.

Returning to her own corner, Florence fist bumps Gillan before she sits on her stool, getting wiped down as Gillian tells her "I hope you learned from tonight, not going backwards sometimes is best way to be" Florence nodding, admitting Gillian knows a thing or two with a wink, both laughing as Gillian nods back.

In the Lookout corner Jenna stares at the heavens looking ready to scream, instead she apologizes to Julie for losing, with Julie telling her "we both know how this dance works, sometimes we win, others we lose, you fought well" making Jenna nod.

Both women get up when they are cleaned up, Florence gets her left hand raised in victory, Jenna stares down at her feet before making sure to tell Florence "I hope you'll give me a rematch someday, I owe you a beating" making the winner staring hard at her, then nodding as she looks like she would happily beat up Jenna again.

Out the ring steps Coleman with her crew, she carries her gloves in her left hand, Julie telling her that she'll be doing extra training over the next week with a grin, Jenna looks at her with a not so excited look, if she is to keep on hunting another title then she will need to keep pushing herself.

Florence meanwhile puts her right arm around the shoulders of Gillan, left fist raised for the cameras as she is beaming, she seems to have gotten out of the mini slump she was in after her first defeat, now on the road towards the top ten and maybe even a title shot before too long.

They leave the ring together, before Florence can begin celebrating fully she will be cheering on her stablemate Lily James in the main event, main thing for Florence is she is on the road to the top.
