Sandra wears her black one piece swimsuit with white gloves and boots. Interestingly she has added black fishnet pantyhose to the attire. Bobbed brunette hair is loose.
Julia is in a bright red one piece swimsuit with black gloves and boots (red laces). Hair pulled back in a battle braid.
The ladies speak briefly with press before entering the ring. “I knocked out Julia the first time and I look forward to doing it again,” says Sandra.
Julia makes a face at that and retorts: “Sandy, you got lucky the first time. You are about to find that out very shortly.”
“Luck had nothing to do with it, I am better than you, Julia Roberts and I’m going to prove it!” Sandra fires back.
Julia looks ready to start swinging now, but officials hastily end the brief press and hurry the angry fighters to the ring. Referee wastes no in getting through the ring instructions/ There is a sharp “tap” of the gloves and then the two march to their corners. The bell rings….
Julia came out aggressive in the first round as she had in the previous bout. Sandra was prepared for this as she defended and moved avoiding the big blows coming from the red head. She is a good spot when she jams some straights into Julia’s body. This causes Roberts to get her guard up as Bullock then moves to have a go at her face. Julia now moved to the far ropes almost stumbling as Sandra SMOKES HER INSIDE! Roberts now goes to clinch and ties up Sandra’s arms. Broken apart, Julia gets on her toes and circles. Some good exchanges end the round as Sandra returns to her corner knowing she took it widely.
The second round saw Bullock come out with some quick jabs to begin the stanza. Roberts answered as the round began under the lights in the middle of the ring. Both boxers get some great licks in as the round to the midway point. Sandra used both hands and got in a couple clean hooks to Julia’s jaw. Roberts had to retreat and goes to answer back but gets a straight right to her body from Bullock. Julia’s groans are heard at ringside as she goes to now circle the brunette boxer. She was able to slip in a hard right hook to Sandra’s body that stopped the advancing Virginia born boxer. The round ended after another couple terrific exchanges. Sandra won the round closely according to the judges’ scorecards.
The third round opened with Sandra coming out behind her gloves as she jabbed at Julia and seemed to be moving Roberts back. Julia clinches up high and the two are broken apart near the near ropes. Roberts goes to get around and gets in front of Bullock and unleashes some punches to her ribs and body. Those drive the Sandra to those near ropes and have Julia moving and jabbing at her face in front of her. Fight fans cheer now as it seems the redhead from Georgia is taking the fight to her opponent from Virginia. But Bullock answers back by going low with a couple hooks to Roberts body and ribs now. NOW A FIREFIGHT HAS THE CROWD STANDING AND CHEERING! The action is played out along the ropes as the round winds down to its closing. Julia lands a walloping right to Sandra’s face just before the bell sounds. That seemed to be put Bullock in the ropes as the referee directed both boxers back to their corners. Julia won the round closely.
Now Julia was the one coming out first as the bell rang beginning the fourth round. Sandra now seemed to be slow must have been that punch that ended the third round. Roberts eyes light up as she goes to straight and hook into Bullock body when she sees the Virginia brunette’s gloves up. Those draw groans from Sandra as Julia continues to work her body as her own glove and ring movements are now slowed down considerably from earlier in this bout. Sandra now is on the far ropes with more punches coming at her from the Georgia redhead. HER GLOVES DROP AND JULIA NOW UPPERCUTS AND CROSSES SANDRA’S FACE! Julia not letting up now AND SANDRA GOES DOWN! Roberts watches as Bullock is now on the canvas. Julia then makes her way to a neutral corner and again watches as her brunette opponent was counted over. 10 came and went as all Sandra could do was roll over so she faced the bright lights and the female referee counting her out.
“I told you I’d beat her and I did!” cries the triumphant Julia Roberts. “You all saw it! I smashed her face up and left helpless! I got thunder and lightning in my gloves! Did that ever feel great!”
Sandra Bullock doesn’t speak to press much, her face is a;; bruised and swollen, but she defiantly declares: “Julia Roberts hasn’t seen the last of me! Next time it’ll be HER face turned into ground beef!”
Julia and Sandra now 1-1 and their rivalry is blazing white hot. Fans will be eagerly waiting for a decisive third fight between the two battling beauties. |
