Millie Bobby Brown vs. Lana Condor (Results: Lookout. Words: Wiz)
BEFORE:

Strange to say that Lana's making her debut as a serious dog. Strange, because, lots of girls make their debuts as serious dogs, since they're often fighting veterans with lots more experience. But, not Condor. Lana's opponent is a teenager who's been fighting in the FCBA for four months. But, she's also a teenager who's made one of the most impressive FCBA debuts, pretty much, ever. Not only has Millie Bobby Brown won her first five fights, she's done so impressively and against solid opposition, including girls ranked in the Top 40 of the division. But, if any of that bothers Lana, well, she's not letting on. "I've been waiting to get a chance up here," says the brunette beauty. "And, I'm not going to waste it. I'm too strong for her. I'm going to wear her down and leave her on the canvas."

"Lana," says Millie without a hint of a smile, "Isn't anywhere near the best fighter I've been in with. In fact, she MIGHT be the worst. She's going down. Period. Count on it."

ROUND ONE:

Lana coming forward. She clearly believes her own hype, that she's stronger than the teen and can wear her down with punishment. Of course, to do that, you'd have to, you know, LAND some shots, and Condor finds that plenty hard to do early. Millie's getting her box on. She's got a bit of reach here, and she's using it, getting the jab in Lana's face, keeping her at range, moving head, hands, and feet, keeping off square. Condor, as rookies sometimes are early in their debuts, too aggressive, and Brown able to take advantage of that. She's touching up the older woman, giving her a pretty thorough beating. Late in the round, Lana settles and begins landing some punches, but it's far too little, far too late. At the bell, it's Millie wide and with the 10-9 lead.

ROUND TWO:

Brown boxing at range. Condor looking to close and doing it much more soundly now. She's moving the head, angling forward, getting in Millie's grill and banging and BOOM! A right hook from Lana STAGGERS BROWN! Millie covering up, taking fire, GOING DOWN! Crowd going nuts as the Asian beauty raises her hands over her head going back to a neutral corner. Brown on her back, watching the count get higher, sits up at seven, juuusssstttt makes it to her feet at nine. Ref gives her the mandatory, then waves on Condor. Lana all in, battering the teen around the ring. Millie giving ground, covering up, finally backed to the ropes, where she's desperately hanging on. Ref watching closely, but Brown does enough to keep him at bay to the bell. But, it's a huge 10-8 round for Condor, who now leads 19-18.

ROUND THREE:

Condor all OVER Brown early. She's bullying the younger woman around the ring, imposing will physically, just as she said she would. Teen giving ground, keeping the guard high, countering only in spots and not very effectively, as she remains on the back foot. It's excellent stuff from Lana, who has to be turning some heads here with what she's doing to a girl who's pretty much taken the FCBA by storm. The one bit of good news for Millie is that she manages to stay off the ropes. But, that's about as far as the sunshine goes for the younger woman, who takes a pretty solid beating right into the final half minute, when she finally begins to get some offense going. At the bell, it's Condor and it's plenty wide, too, leaving Lana on the lead 29-27 after three.

ROUND FOUR:

Condor in control early. Brown's doing better, but she's still fighting mostly in counter as Lana walks forward behind the jab, backing up the teen, landing some solid right hands. About half way through, though, things change. Condor's looking a little arm-weary after using up a ton of energy in the last two rounds, and Brown is able to stabilize her front and begin getting onto the front foot again for the first time since the knockdown. Second half of the round sees Millie getting the better of things, as she's able to box at range and play HER game instead of Condor's. Lana's still scoring, mind, she's just not able to control things and she's not as busy. Brown's second half comes close to offsetting Condor's first half, but doesn't quite, so, at the bell, Lana's claimed her third straight round, albeit narrowly, to lead 39-36.

ROUND FIVE:

Good, two-way stuff to start the fifth. Condor showing a bit more energy now and Brown's clearly shaken all the damage, allowing her to move much better than she has since the opening stanza. Teen's getting her box on at range for stretches, and, when she can do that, she's getting much the better of things. At other times, though, Lana's able to angle forward, crowd, bang, and the Asian beauty gets plenty of work done when she can do that. It's back and forth almost the entire way, with neither fighter able to establish any sort of control despite solid efforts made on both sides to do exactly that. When the bell rings bringing the first half of the contest to an end, there's no doubt it's close once again, but, this time, it's Millie who claims the points to cut her deficit to 48-46.

ROUND SIX:

More of the same. Two-way stuff with the advantage determined by who's getting her terms. When Condor can get physical, she's causing all kinds of problems for the younger girl. But, when Millie's able to enforce distance, box at range? Then it's the teen who's in charge and piling up points. For a minute and a half it goes this way with, basically, nothing in it until...BOOM! Right hand BROWN and LANA IS HURT! Condor stumbles backward, nearly goes down, and Brown LETS THE HANDS GO! She sends Condor staggering and then DROPS HER WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT! Lana blown to her back by a NASTY punch from Brown! Millie to a neutral corner. Condor, eyes closed, not moving as the ref counts down on her. It's academic, because the Asian beauty is both down and OUT! It's OVER! And your winner by KO6 is Millie Bobby Brown!

AFTER:

Brown serious as a heart attack in the post. "She THOUGHT she was going to bully me around in there," says the hard-eyed teen. "She THOUGHT. Well, she FOUND OUT and so will anyone ELSE who tries to pull that on me. You AREN'T going to get big on me. Not. Going. To. Happen. Period. Count on it!"
