OFFICIAL FCBA "INDEPENDENCE DAY" PPV 2022

(Results: Lookout!, Words: Caspian) Emma Watson vs Summer Glau
Emma: (31, 5’5, 57:31 FCBA, VIXENs)
Summer: (41, 5’6, 24:37 FCBA, League of Mighty Women)
BEFORE: A decade separating these two Hollywood actresses in age, though even we are surprised they have yet to meet in the ring.
“I grew up watching some of her movies and television shows, especially Firefly,” Emma says with a smile and nod. “She was one of the first action movie stars that kicked ass. I’m glad she agreed to this fight.”
“Honey, I’m not THAT old,” Summer says in response, drawing laughter from the crowds. “And I’m still fully capable of kicking your ass. I may spend more time these days training other prospective fighters, but I never turn down a challenge.”
A proper American versus British showdown as Emma makes a foray into Bantamweight territory tonight. She sets Summer with a calm stare and smirk, hands planted on her hips when they meet later on stage for the official pose and staredown. Summer grinning back, still looking toned and slender despite turning 41 this year, and officially a Cougar by all definitions.
Both fighters don’t escalate the tension, however, and even shake hands before wishing the other all the best for the upcoming fight. Of course, they don’t really mean it, as hours later, we’re back in the arena and they’re squared off at opposite ends of the ring, looking ready to brawl.
Emma’s dressed in a white and black sports bra for a top, toned midriff shown off in a pair of red short boxing trunks. She’s wearing white gloves for tonight’s contest. Summer holds up an electric blue glove when her name is called. Her fighting attire consists of a green sports singlet and black trunks.
Without further ado, HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action! There’s the bell!
ROUND 1: Emma shows off her form, coming off a five-win streak with no signs of slowing down. She marches forward and meets Summer in the middle, and the two beautiful ladies are pumping out punches in tandem, one girl slamming in a combo to the arms before taking the same punishment from the other. Glau is the first to land a mixture of hits to Emma’s face and body, using her expertise to frustrate the Vixen early. Emma, having trouble predicting and intercepting Summer’s attacks, takes another hit to the cheek to stun her in place, before another cross hand hits the arms just in time. Emma trying to salvage the round by hanging back for the second half, blocking a lot more and then hitting several jabs off Summer’s forehead and into the lips to even the score. Glau gets stunned right back, and has trouble keeping up with the Vixen’s speed and power. Emma manages to edge out the win at the sound of the bell, swooping in with a stiff thump to the body before taking another swing up high to the side of the head.
ROUND 2: Glau sinks several shots to the body to shock and awe Emma early, stopping her in her tracks and keeping her cautious for the remainder. Emma attempts to go high with an overhand early, but grossly miscalculated as Glau fired those punches into the midsection with greater speed and deliberateness, smirking as she chases Emma back with more headhunting jabs sent up high. Watson’s having trouble with her foe’s slightly longer reach advantage, and only manages to blast Glau back to the lips with a left-right combo after she takes a left hand to the chin and another swipe across her cheek. On average, the Vixen is taking far more damage than her counterpart, and she lets out another grunt when Glau sinks another hook into the side of her ribs to end the round clearly on her side.
ROUND 3: Hard-hitting pounding in close quarters as Emma and Summer rush in to try and push ahead. Emma’s gained a whole lot more confidence compared to several years ago, more than willing to get into the thick of the action and brawl with her foes. She keeps her head protected at first, absorbing several shots across the bow before dipping low and then chugging shots away at Glau’s body, punishing her with hooks. Glau, however, battles back, lowering her own guard and then torquing a hook or two across Emma’s exposed face to blast her back, but the two fighters simply shake off the pain and march back in for more. Only in the third minute do both fighters reset at opposite ends of the ring, breathing hard and relying on their jab hands to score the last few points on the market. It’s an effective draw for now, though Summer is still leading by a slight margin from that opening salvo.
ROUND 4: Summer may have pushed 40 but she’s still moving fast and with purpose, the LMW fighter skirting in and resuming the attacks on the younger fighter. Emma takes several punches to the face and body as she tries to cover up high and low, but takes another drilling shot to the stomach to briefly stun her in place. Glau feeling good about herself, going for the killing blow with a mighty hook aimed for the head. But Emma evades it with a swerve and punt to the chin right back, which briefly stuns Glau to the side. Glau’s head shoved to the side, trying to steady herself, looks about to swing back with another hook but gets NAILED to the face again with a downwards hook, as Watson growls and snarls inwards, showing no fear! Summer gets rocked again, suddenly flailing about, trying to keep her balance! But Watson’s stalking after her, fists flying in and pounding away without mercy or pause! Glau gets clocked again across the chin, which sends her into a death spiral - she HITS the ground on her side, and stays there, completely knocked out cold!! Emma’s grinning overhead, one hand raised high to the crowds! It’s OVER!!
Official Decision: Emma Watson defeats Summer Glau via KO4!
AFTER: Glau still turned over onto back, trying to register the stadium lights above. Things were going well for her until that flash KO from Watson, who seized the opportunity to stake her claim in the sand.
“All respect to her,” Watson says to reporters in the post-match. “She did her best, and you can’t fault her for trying. But I guess I was the better fighter tonight.”
That brazenness in the ring has also translated to Miss Watson’s cockiness outside of it, and she pays Summer little mind in the celebrations, leaving the ring still enamored with the cheering fans. |
