Intro:
We now the BBU debut of Evangeline Lilly as she takes on the Cinderella story that is Hannah Ware. Evangeline is arguably the greatest FCBA bantamweight with her seven world titles. So can Hannah upset her tonight to take home the victory?

Well Evangeline has only won once this calender year so far against a returning Christina Ricci. She decided to head to the BBU as she told reporters "I am here in Cardiff wanting to see what the BBU is like. I have heard so much about it and well it's nice to not be just fighting the same faces all the time."

Hannah as said is a Cinderella story in life. She begun as a model that was coming through the ranks but arguably hadn't really hit the big stage. Bruce Willis saw her and as they say history was written as she became an actress. In the ring her success has been mixed in with three straight defeats. The fact that Evangeline herself reportedly asked for Hannah to be her opponent is interesting. Could Hannah's Cinderella story continue tonight with a win over a legend?

Certainly she seems to believe it as she says to the BBU press "I have a lot of respect for Evangeline, she is a great fighter but I need to come here and focus purely on winning. This will be the biggest test of my life and I am ready to ace it."

Fight Night! First out comes Evangeline with Julie Benz, she gets a loud cheer from the BBU crowd. Evangeline nods and waves on the top of the stage, that's before she goes back to her usual intense looking self on her walk to the ring. Evangeline steps into the ring wearing a black sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, black gloves with gold thumbs. Evangeline stretches in her corner as Julie just lets her stay in the zone.

Hannah comes out now with her coach to her right. Hannah nodding to them as they tell her what to expect. The English fighter steps into the ring wearing a white sports bra, matching trunks and shoes, red gloves and her hair is tied into a ponytail. Hannah taps her cheeks as she stares at Evangeline.

Both fighters walk to the middle of the ring for the face off. Eyes firmly locked as both have a strong personality that is on show. Evangeline seems to like that about Hannah as she nods to her when they touch gloves to show respect. They walk back to their corners before the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action begins.

Round 1:
At the bell they kick off behind their jabs, getting a feel for each others skills. Evangeline is the first after around twenty seconds to step in to work with body shots. Hannah stepping back makes Evangeline walk after her, it's a trap by the looks of it as a left cross catches the Canadian beauty on her cheek to make her take a step back.

The opening minute is mostly evenly fought, till Lilly dips under a straight to rifle in a right towards the belly button of Hannah, she follows with an overhand left on the jaw of the English star to turn her head. Hannah soon finding herself muscled onto the ropes by Evangeline, who tests the abs of the younger fighter.

Pushing off Evangeline; Hannah shows good hand speed when her opponent tries to keep the pressure on her to sting her to the face. Both lacing each other on the cheeks as they open up more. The bell soon dinging to end the opening round with Evangeline getting a good run through the middle part of the round, Hannah though already showing she can match the legend in stretches, question is can she be better then her?

Round 2:
Doubling up her jab at the start of the round, Hannah is looking for a way to break down Evangeline as she moves side to side. Evangeline landing a few cross punches to try to keep Hannah in one place. A straight catches Lilly on her forehead to snap her head back.

A left cross catches Evangeline on her cheek before a straight lands on her nose. Hannah sees her chance to drive Evangeline into a neutral corner. Whacking away at the torso of the former FCBA champion till she gets clinched up. The referee pushing them so they can continue.

They resume with Hannah getting caught with a jab/straight combo when they resume. Evangeline trying to force the issue as both women get in close to each other, it's a scruffy affair as they bump forearms and bodies. The round comes to a close with both stepping away with eyes locked, heading to their stools as they show how intense they can be.

Round 3:
Hannah again comes out the blocks the quicker, slamming her jab into the forehead of her foe as she keeps on the move, sticking and moving at times to throw off Evangeline. Who starts to target the chest of Hannah to try to throw her off her game.

It looks to work as Evangeline catches Hannah with a right cross onto her jaw. Muscling back the younger woman onto the ropes. Evangeline trying to pin her down but Hannah shows her toughness to fight back in close. Grunting with each hit into their opponents faces till they lock up again in a clinch. The referee splits them up again.

Under forty seconds to go, Evangeline looks to press Hannah again but gets caught with a double jab into her nose. A straight follows into the forehead of Evangeline. They exchange more but Evangeline finds herself being moved around the outside part of the ring. The round ends with Evangeline tapping her gloves together as she walks back to her corner, not pleased with herself.

Round 4:
Coming back out to exchange; Evangeline dips down a little more to stab in her punches around the torso of her opponent, taking a few clean hits around her forehead in reply. A jab catches Hannah under her chin as she gets a little lax there, overhand right on the jaw follows moments later. Evangeline driving Hannah back into a neutral corner with body shots.

Pushing Evangeline off her; Hannah maybe wishes she clinched as she is being kept near the ropes, both exchanging but it's Lilly landing more punches compared to Ware. Cheeks are marked up now on both fighters. Evangeline digs away at the body of Hannah when the English fighters guard tightens up.

But late in the round Hannah reminds Evangeline how dangerous she can be with an uppercut out her guard onto her chin. Hannah driving Evangeline back across the ring to the opposite set of cables. Hammering the body of a shelled up Evangeline now up until the ding of the bell rings out. Hannah is certainly motivated here tonight as she returns to her corner with an intense stare aimed at her opponent. Evangeline meanwhile is told by Julie to be careful not to lose her own focus.

Round 5:
They fight on with Hannah bugging Evangeline with her jab, opening a small cut on the bridge of the "Ant-Man and Wasp" star. Evangeline starting to swing in more hooks but she eats another uppercut like the last round that rocks her head back. Hannah driving Evangeline back into a neutral corner with sweat flying off the former FCBA champions head.

Needing to clinch up with Hannah, Evangeline looks a little buzzed. They are broken up but Evangeline isn't throwing too much as Hannah simply is in full on attack mode now. Keeping Evangeline pressed near the ropes, landing several hard shots that certainly are getting the attention of the crowd as they cheer her on.

Holding more as Evangeline looks to slow the pace down. It isn't pretty fighting but it is helping to cool the situation down for the legend. The referee breaks them up with Ware looking visibly annoyed by the holding. The round comes to an end with it possibly being a 10-8 round on some people's scorecards even without a knockdown.

Round 6:
Evangeline has gotten a pep talk by her coach, it looks to have had some effect as she is boxing behind her jab, circling and not looking to be an easy target for Hannah, who understandably wants to finish things now. Punches are being exchanged into faces as the crowd is cheering both women on.

Crouching under a right hook that finds thin air; Evangeline lands an uppercut of her own that snaps back the head of Hannah, who stumbles back when a left/right hook combo lands on the chin of the Brit to rock her backwards.

Suddenly it's Hannah looking to be buzzed as she covers up. Evangeline pounding her stomach before Hannah opens up. It's the punches of Evangeline having the real effect now as Hannah has a little puffiness around her left cheek from some nasty right hooks, causing Hannah to hold on with barely any time left. The bell rings with Hannah shaking her head to clear any cobwebs. Evangeline not smiling but inside she has to be very pleased with that answer she gave to the round before.

Round 7:
Taking a breath each before they resume; both know they can hurt each other, right now though it looks like Hannah is still a little buzzed as Evangeline slips punches to land her own. A right hook catches Hannah on her chin to twist her head around with sweat flying off. LEFT HOOK LANDS FLUSH TO SEND HANNAH DOWN ONTO HER BACK!

Evangeline walks to the neutral corner looking at Hannah with an ice cold stare. 1....2....3... Hannah slowly turning to her front. 4....5....6... She grabs for the ropes in front of herself as the crowd will her on. 7....8.....9... Up gets Hannah with barely any time left, raising her fists to show she can fight on.

There's still just under two minutes to go as they resume. While Hannah is valiantly trying to fight back. She is getting caught flush with big punches, ending up stumbling into the ropes, HER COACH THROWS IN THE TOWEL TO SAVE HER FROM HERSELF! THE REFEREE SEES IT AND WAVES THE FIGHT OFF!

Winner Evangeline Lilly TKO Round 7

After:
For her debut in the BBU; if Evangeline thought it was going to be an easy night's work, boy was she made to work for this victory. The crowd standing applauding both fighters for this hard fought battle between them.

Evangeline walks over to Hannah to check on her. Gone is that gladiator mentality that Evangeline has in a fight, in comes the friendly side as Hannah nods that she will be ok. Probably helped greatly when her coach brings her stool in and Evangeline actually helps her onto it.

The winner blows a few kisses to the crowd as she walks back over to her corner. Julie smiles as she takes her gloves off, joking "getting soft in your old age aren't you?" Getting in reply "well I ain't getting younger" as both laugh and look relaxed. They certainly weren't relax in the fight itself of course.

Hannah taking a few breaths to cook off. Her head seems to have stopped buzzing and she looks proud to have pushed such a legend, arguably the GOAT of the division tonight, this could be something she can build off going forwards.

Both fighters walk to the middle of the ring for the final result to be read out. Evangeline getting her left hand raised in victory as Hannah applauds her. They share a warm embrace before Hannah leaves the ring. Getting messages of how well she did by people in the front row.

In the ring Evangeline poses for the cameras with hands on her hips, she can now cross off boxed in a BBU ring off her checklist now. Will we see her again? Never say never but of course now she will focus on going back to the FCBA for either another bantamweight title or maybe a cougar title to add to her collection.
