Intro:
We kick off tonight's action here in the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai with a clash of two women who want to be noticed by the BBU lightweight champion Holly Peers. Dua Lipa and Helena Mattsson will duke it out for the first time. Who will move closer to a title shot?

Both women were asked for a few words in the backstage area by BBU TV reporter Kate Abdo. Dua was up first wearing a black blouse with black jeans and heels. Standing with a smile adorning her face. Dua looks excited as she says it is great to be there in Dubai.

Asked about this bout and her thoughts. Dua says "I have spoken to my stablemate Kelly (Gale) as she has some history as you know with Helena. While they are not friends, Kelly has respect for her. I can't wait to get a first hand experience of what Helena can do. Of course I feel like I will emerge the victor." Flexing her arms with a wink.

Helena is wearing a white vest with blue denim jeans and white trainers. She embraces with Kate as she looks relaxed. Helena says "this arena is amazing. First time boxing here but I can't wait to step inside the ring with the crowd." Getting local fans on side.

Turning her attention to her opponent. Helena tells Kate "I know this will be a tough test. Everyone will say Dua is too young for me, she has been fighting better competition right? Well they said that about Kelly Gale and look what I have done to her twice. Never write me off unless you wanna look a fool." Kate fist bumps Helena before the beautiful blonde walls away.

Fighting time! Dua is first out with her coach Giselle Bundchen and cut women Eva Carneiro. Dua walks to the ring waving to the crowd. Tapping her cheeks with her red gloves before she jogs up the ring steps. She climbs into the ring wearing a red sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, hair tied into a ponytail. She gets her shoulders massaged by Gisele as they discuss what to expect in the fight.

Helena now walks out with Nicole Ritchie to her left. Helena blows a few kisses to the crowd before she jogs down the aisle. Looking keen to get started as she climbs into the ring. She is wearing a yellow sports bra with navy blue stripes down the sides. Matching trunks and shoes, yellow gloves and her hair tied into a ponytail. Helena bounces on her toes as she looks across the ring at Dua.

They walk to the center of the ring for the final instructions by the referee. Both grinning as neither looks worried by the test ahead of them. Bumping gloves with their opponent with a nod. They jog back to their corners. The bell soon rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Both jog out their corners to kick off the fight. Tapping left gloves together at times as they look to land their jabs. Eyes firmly locked as they are fully focused on this bout. Dua is the one to land the first meaningful punch after a few feints, landing a left cross followed by a right hook to the cheeks of her opponent to make her back off.

That springs the bout into life as Dua rams in a double jab to the face of Helena. Who is trying to match what is coming her way but Dua is moving her upper body to dodge or not take them as flush as Helena would hope. Near the ropes moves the Swede as she looks to box her way off them.

Late in the round Helena does manage to land a left cross of her own, following with a straight to the forehead of Dua to force her to take a step back. Both let their fists go at the center of the ring. Cheeks getting the brunt of the clean hits as the crowd roars them on. The round coming to a close with a nod from both to their opponent. Jogging to their corners with Dua looking happy with how things went there.

Round 2:
Helena coming out a little more aggressively to start off. Landing several clean shots around the chest of Dua to push her back. Dua lands in response several cross punches as they look to react quickly to what is coming their way. Helena ducking under a left cross to pound the body of her younger foe as she walks forwards. Forcing Lipa onto the ropes so she can land in hooks to the flanks.

Pushing off Helena; Dua lands a crisp double jab into her forehead to push back Mattsson. Helena nodding to her before getting into business mode again. Helena stepping in again as she is starting to dip down more to dodge and close the distance to work away.

The final minute sees Dua getting pressed against the ropes as Helena. Getting her abs tested before she clinches. They are broken up with Dua landing from range as she moves around on her toes more. The round ends with Helena tapping her gloves together looking happier with what happened here then the opener.

Round 3:
Continuing to dip down to work the abs of Dua. Helena is willing to take punches around her forehead to land on Dua. Coming over the top with a looping left hook to twist the head of Dua. Pressing the British singer back into a neutral corner as she is clearly looking to sap her energy with short hooks to her body before she is held onto.

Broken up by the referee, Dua isn't being allowed by Helena to move away from the ropes. So both are exchanging with Helena pushing the pace. Drilling her fists into the chest and body of the younger fighter to make her hiss. Dua landing some crisp shots over the top to make Helena's cheeks have a pink hue.

Less then thirty seconds to go. Dua manages to wrap up Helena and turn them around. Helena looking to wrestle them back around as the referee struggles to break them up. When they are ordered to resume Dua lands a quick fire jab/straight combo into her foes face. Landing a few short flurries in the dying moments as Helena covers up to try to soak them up on her arms and gloves.

The bell rings to end the round with both women staring hard at each other as the competitive streak surges through them. Walking back to their corners getting cleaned up as there are a few marks on the body of Dua now to show where Helena has been mauling her.

Round 4:
Doubling up her jab and moving around the outside part of the ring as she lets Helena come at her. Dua showing another change in strategy in what has been a tactical battle. Helena tapping her gloves together trying to gloat Dua into bringing on the fight as she follows by stabbing a few punches into her tits.

But Helena leaves herself open to a left cross on her jaw as Dua sees her opening. Banging in several more punches square to the face of Mattsson. Soon there's some blood coming from the bottom lip of the blonde as she is trying to match the work rate of her opponent. Dua though has stepped up a gear here to bring the fight to her rival.

Herding Helena around the ropes. Dua gets caught with a few short hooks out the guard of Helena. It is Dua though who is working the harder of the pair, going more to the body of her older opponent. The round comes to a close with Dua having a strong showing. Helena nods to Nicole as she listens to her, knowing she can't get lax around Lipa.

Round 5:
Resuming with their eyes full of determination. Dua starts off strong with that double jab but Helena soon dips under one to give her a shove to her breasts. Driving Dua onto the ropes, where she can work the body of her younger foe. Dua pushing back Helena to create space to get off the ropes.

Helena not normally a rough houser but she clearly feels she needs to try to smother the work of Dua. Pressing her up against the ropes with forearms into her chest. Dua landing chuffing punches around her head to try to ward her off. Ending up needing to clinch up with sweat dripping off their foreheads.

Heading to the end of the round. Helena steps in and gets caught with a jab square onto her bloody lip. An uppercut follows to knock her onto her heels. Dua seeing her chance for a counter attack. Driving back Helena back to a neutral corner. Firing in hooks as Helena covers up. The bell rings not long later to end proceedings. Both sit on their stools getting cleaned up.

Round 6:
Back out they come with Helena looking to close the distance but gets caught early with a left cross on her temple. She blinks a few times to clear her vision as Dua spots it and launches in a straight that snaps back the head of Helena, causing her to stumble back a step.

Helena trying to fight back but she is starting to eat some hard shots across her face. Knocked back around the outside part of the ring. A straight sets up Helena for a left hook on her chin to wobble her knees. UPPERCUT LANDING FLUSH TO SEND HELENA DOWN ONTO HER FRONT!

Dua raises her arms as she walks over to the neutral corner. 1....2....3....4... Helena groans as she turns her hear to the right side, eyes shut. 5....6....7... Helena has Nicole telling at her to get up but it is falling onto deaf ears. 8....9....10 it's over for Helena tonight!

Winner Dua Lipa KO Round 6

After:
Dua turns to the crowd to get a loud cheer from her supporters. Returning to her corner to be met with a hug from Giselle and Eva. Another win as this run continues for her in the BBU. Giselle happy with her winning but does tell her moments she should have been better in as she sits down.

While Helena is checked over by the ringside doctor and Nicole. She groans as she is helped up to her stood after a minute. She waves to the crowd to show she will be okay. Helena gets the thumbs up by the ringside doctor.

Over comes Dua to check on Helena, which probably won't go down so well with her stablemate Kelly Gale. Still they share a few kind words as Helena admits that Dua got her good there. Dua praising Helena for being a pain on the inside as both smile.

Out the ring goes Helena with help from Nicole. She walks up the aisle with a relaxed look. She has gotten to the age that a loss doesn't stay with her as badly as when she was younger. Helena still admits that she knows she could have won this bout so maybe it's more putting a brave face on the situation.

Inside the ring Dua gets her left hand raised by the referee. She bows to each side of the ring to show her appreciation to the crowd. She soon steps out the ring waving over her waist to show she wants a world title around it. Giselle pointing and telling the nearest camera "this is your future world champion" as she looks proud of her protégé. Can Dua fulfil her goal this year?
