BEFORE: The petite gravure model Miri Hanai doesn't shy away from non-JMD fights and she's got nothing to lose against former champion Ewelina Lisowska who is rumoured to be starting a Pacific tour while she waits for another opening of the divisional window. She has suffered some upset defeats in the last few months so her 2023 schedule is more about building confidence than trying to make an outright statement. Front Street Japan has better horses than Hanai in their flyweight stable so expect more details to be announced after this fight is finished.

Round 1:
Miri wants to show some of her skills early on and locks the former champion in a phone booth tangle working a spirited gut-checking drive and also trying to connect with the singer's breasts in the process. Ewelina didn't quite expect such a feisty start from the local heroine and she takes her time before finding her response but Miri still pounds away full of confidence and backs the younger brunette onto the ropes where she adds more heavy slugs around the midsection. Ugh! Lisowska has to clinch the gravure model even though Lioness coach Mel B. wants her to punch the Japanese woman right back instead... not gonna happen! Miri slips out of Ewelina's grasp and whacks her with a left hook on the mouth to really open some eyes around the Tokyo Dome!

Round 2:
Ewelina takes off with more slugging desire in the second round and starts to smash the leather into the gravure model's face as Miri is unable to apply the pressure like she did in the opener. She gets stuffed in the center of the ring and leaks more punches up the middle however Ewelina still doesn't kick into the highest gear... because she doesn't have to! Miri gets trapped in mid-range and decides to bail out of the experience but the Polish tourist still nicks in some hard hits and works the model down onto the corner where she cranks up the jabbing volume and drops Hanai behind a lenghty earmuff cover. FSJ coach Kei Mizutani is less than pleased about the lack of response but there's a reason Miri doesn't impose much respect around the division after all.

Round 3:
More of the same in the third, Ewelina latches on the early slugging drive and glues the Japanese woman to the spot while scoring easy hits up the middle. Miri tries to land some shots to the body and she clips the singer's breasts as well but then eats a huge left hook on the nose and wobbles to her heels with a loud whimper. Lisowska shoots over the top and lands more leather on target sending Hanai back to the ropes and this is a classic "knock her head off" charge from the former champion who laces the gravure model from each side and is perhaps unfortunate not to send her down for the count before another desperate clinching stalemate allows the Japanese brunette to hang on against the odds. She lands a couple of shots into Ewelina's kidneys but that only makes the Polish tourist even more upset as we head into the fourth.

Round 4:
Ewelina flies in with a quick left/right combo before driving a left harpoon just above the waist line. Ugh! She cripples Miri with that low punch and then switches into an uppercut charge that connects with the exposed jaw a couple of times before another left hook tags the stunned gravure model on the ear and DROPS HER DOWN ONTO HER KNEES!!! That's more like it from the ex-champion who struts back to the neutral corner while Miri tries to recover from the knockdown. She gets up at seven but cuts a wobbly figure. Coach Mizutani yells at her to go back there and the referee gives her the chance only for Ewelina to SMOKE her with the first left/right approach that slams onto the jaw and DROPS HANAI FLAT ON HER BACK moments later. So much for that recovery! It is over! KO4 Ewelina Lisowska!!!

AFTER: Almost strictly business performance from the Polish singer who looked lethargic in the opening round but dominated the action afterwards. She's all set to continue her Pacific tour and Front Street Japan is ready to provide the chapter two opponent courtesy of another gravure model Rio Natsume sometime next month. As for Miri Hanai, she probably should focus on the jug muggin' schedule going forward.
