Fiona Wade vs Heidi Range

BEFORE: The writing might be on the wall for Heidi Range as the Merseyside singer couldn't even last one round versus newcomers Tori Kelly AND Tiffany Stanley and most BBU pundits believe she's unlikely to retain even journeywoman status at this stage of her career. These quick beatdowns have triggered a challenge from the ex-Emmerdale actress Fiona Wade who thinks she can take down past-prime singers on a regular basis having stopped Geri Halliwell before already.

Fiona Wade wears a black crop top, jeans shorts & red gloves. Long raven black hair tied in a braid. Heidi Range wears a red crop top, jeans shorts & white gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Fiona makes a powerful start blasting heavy leather into the blonde's face but Heidi refuses to back off even though she gets clearly outworked by the actress and digs deep to land some head shots herself before a booming right hand on the chin sends her into a tailspin. She uses her footwork to escape further trouble but there's nowhere to run between the ropes after all so the slugging pounce quickly resumes with Fiona going all-in against the out of form opponent. Heidi's face gets blasted from point-blank range but the singer avoids another first round exit and hangs on until the bell despite early battle damage. Fiona gave her a visible cut under the left eye and there's more bad blood between the two corners since the Emmerdale actress engages in a lenghty trash-talk with Lioness coach Mel B. which doesn't seem like a wise idea for the time being.

Round 2:
Heidi lets it rip to the brunette's body and manages to dictate the pace during the opening minute but then she gets drilled with a vicious hook on the nose and stumbles to her heels while the brunette picks up the slugging drive to bash her onto the ropes where she pays back the gut-checking favor and slams the exposed navel to drop the Mersey blonde into loud spasms. Ugh! That's a terrible look right there and Range can't even lock the actress in a clinching stalemate but soaks up more harpoon menace instead and cuts a very vulnerable figure come the second minute. Fiona digs her left elbow into the blonde's breasts and blows more body shots until she FORCES HEIDI TO TAKE A KNEE and that looked very soft from the ailing singer indeed. Maybe it's a question of mental fortitude - or lack thereof - but the former Sugababes member looks all lost at sea these days with no solution to fix her problems to be found. She gets up at seven but remains stranded in the corner and Wade moves in to finish her off... only to be denied by the bell moments later but she's convinced about the looming result and drops more words at the stunned Mel B. in the Lioness corner.

Round 3:
Heidi gives it another try but she's unable to match the brunette's slugging pace and eats more head shots on the rebound while trading futile leather with the exotic cougar. Fiona rips more shots on target and gradually punches the fighting spirit out of the cumbersome blonde before one of the right hooks finds the ear and spins Range into yelping disarray. Ugh! The Merseyside singer lowers her mitts and takes a butcher hook on the jaw that pulls the plug on her resistance right there and then. DOWN SHE GOES and even the ref doesn't bother with the count since everyone inside the arena knows this one is all over. KO3 Fiona Wade!!!

AFTER: Boxing life is usually unforgiving on the wrong side of forty and Heidi Range proves that she's not the exception from the rule. She managed to survive round one tonight but looked extremely vulnerable all the way through; this was her 40th official BBU fight and it's anyone's guess how long she keeps going in wake of the mounting loss count.

Over to Fiona and she gloats in victory while teasing more cougar glory in the foreseeable future: "I can still drop some of these slags down and I'm always ready to accept anyone's challenge. Fans love me and I'm willing to travel all over the country to showcase my boxing talents. Give me a call and I will come to take over your party!" (laughs).
