BEFORE:
“Look at who the cat dragged in,” Emily Blunt laughs as Luisana Lopilato made her entrance into the press hall. “It’s the man-stealing actress from Argentina.”

Luisana blushes and freezes as the spotlight suddenly whips to her, and it’s made worse when the entire room breaks out in chuckles and equal laughter. A few moments later, however, after the Vixen has settled somewhat in her seat at the table, she fires back with a little venom in her tone:

“Michael was way over you when he met me,” Luisana says. “You can’t possibly think that he was cheating on you when we started dating.”

“Oh, how convenient,” Emily rolls her eyes, before continuing. “Look, I’m here to box, and there’s nothing that would give me more pleasure than to smack this little princess about for a couple of rounds.”

“You know what? Bring it, you British b*tch! I’ve heard enough of your lies!” Luisana shouts back, suddenly looking incensed as she stands up and begins to make her way over to Emily’s side of the table.

Blunt not one to back away from a challenge, and the two ladies almost throw themselves at each other in the center of the press hall, but are held back last minute by a host of fight officials.

Tale of the tape shows a quite even match-up for this next fight: with Emily being five years older and an inch taller; she’s also seen far more action roles over the years in movies like Edge of Tomorrow and most recently starring alongside The Rock in Jungle Cruise. Meanwhile, Luisana’s model profession means she’s also had to keep fit and proper, and the Vixen enters the arena hours later looking toned and chiseled as well, dressed in a white bra and briefs set. Moments later, Emily’s music hits the airwaves and the Brit actress emerges in a simple black sports bra and long green tights.

In the ring, Emily’s donning white gloves on either hand, whereas Luisana has gone for a shade of black leather with a golden polish. Referee waves for the bell to start, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Luisana’s fighting like a demon, more than honor or the win on the line, with something to prove as her beau’s latest trophy wife. She stuns Emily to the face with an early left hook, feigning to the body before going up high all of a sudden - wham! Emily’s dazed, but also shoving her own fists back in, landing several off the blonde’s waistline to bust those abs. But Lopilato just powers through, aiming for the head again with another right hook, snags Emily on the chin to send her staggering! Rest of the round has Lopilato chasing after Blunt, shooting jabs at her head non-stop. Wide round for the Vixen, who achieves what she set out to do!

ROUND 2:
Blunt however makes her living training others to fight, settles into a comfortable flow of jabbing at Luisana’s head from afar as the Vixen skirts in to brawl, then powers a cross hand into her face each time the Vixen pulls an arm back to attack. Sound strategy there as Luisana’s eating shot after shot, each glove shoved into her lips and off the temple to daze her badly come the second minute. Luisana growling and scowling back, stubborn nature refusing to back down. She rushes at Emily one more time: a left hook to the head misses overhead, before Blunt drills an uppercut into her midsection, before punting her head up high with an uppercut! UGHH! Luisana gets blasted back, falling over herself to collapse down onto her back! It’s an early KNOCKDOWN for Emily Blunt!

Blunt sure of herself, confident hand raised high as she waltzes back to the neutral corner, leaving Luisana to her fate. Lopilato slowly turns over, crawling back to all fours, then pushing herself up one foot at a time. The referee clears her by the count of 7, just as she stabilizes herself on both feet. This fight continues!

ROUND 3:
Emily looks empowered, coming in hot and dangerous. She’s skirting in fast to cover the distance, then taking swings at Luisana’s head, hoping for another flash KO. Luisana, however, still has her wits about her, swerving back to avoid and using excellent footwork to evade and outrun. She’s banking on her opponent’s slightly older age to draw out this fight, drain Blunt of her energy. And it begins to work: Blunt landed some stiff blows to that toned tummy in the first half but suddenly getting gutted herself by Luisana’s return slams to the sternum and ribs, the Vixen blocking and weaving before powering back her own artillery to rock the Brit in her trenches. Round ends and Blunt still stole this round by a close margin, though that previous knockdown attempt appears to be far in the rear view mirror.

ROUND 4:
Luisana back in form, moving deliberately to the sides and forward to slam a cross straight into Emily’s arms, to keep her on edge, before bashing away at her guard with more left-right-left combos. Blunt’s struggling to keep up this time, those body shots sapping her of her energy as Luisana takes each opportunity to lunge below her guard, and sink leather into her paunch. Blunt comes alive in the third, suddenly flailing wildly as she CHARGES Luisana down, to little result, with most of her attacks hitting the arms or missing entirely, and the bell sounds soon after, giving the blonde a wide margin.

ROUND 5:
Luisana attempts the same strategy as before, keeping her distance and allowing Blunt to make the errors. Emily’s considerably winded from that last round push, but the 41-year-old is still looking focused and mean, coming into the pocket at short bursts and tagging Luisana off her sides and tummy. Lopilato is firing back, but this Blunt character seems to be able to take a sh*t load of damage, and the Vixen’s jabs and crosses are sinking into her chin and nose with little effect. Blunt roaring as she powers another uppercut into the side tummy, making Luisana’s eyes bulge and her entire body shake! That might be a liver shot right there, ladies and gents, because DOWN GOES THE VIXEN one more time, Luisana clutching her body and COLLAPSING down to her knees, looking shocked indeed!

Blunt still has it! The Brit assumes she’s already won, throwing both arms into the air and smiling wide as she strides back to her corner. The fans are also affirming her feat, cheering and waving cardboard cut-outs from the rafters. But on the other end of the ring, Luisana is determined to recover. The blonde is pushing herself off the ground, her entire body shivering and trembling from the liver shot. Referee’s hits the count of 8 and Luisa makes it back up to both feet, albeit with a little bit of a sway.

Good lord! We’re STILL continuing! There’s fire in Luisana’s eyes and a snarl on her face as she heads back to the corner at the bell!

ROUND 6:
These ladies want to HURT each other! Blondes stride in and GO TO WORK, fists up and dispensing with the pleasantries, as they hammer the other off the ear and arms, Luisana showing off plenty of steadiness despite suffering two knockdowns within five rounds! Blunt takes a hook across the face but powers one of her own across Luisana’s, then dips her head low and goes to the body, bashing the stomach with more left and right uppercuts. Luisana looks like she’s in trouble early, grunting and getting pushed back from the body attacks, but she keeps her cool still, shoves another right hook into the chin to daze the Brit’s advance. Blunt’s head gets whipped to the side, and whipped right back from a follow-up stroke against her cheekbone. THERE SHE GOES!! Blunt lets out a grunt as she loses her balance, goes CRASHING down to all fours! It’s a return KNOCKDOWN from Luisana Lopilato! Could this be just the beginning of four more rounds of action?!?

Blunt has a devilish look on her face, snarling back as she slams her mitts into the ground and pushes herself up. All those push-ups on the movie set have given her good conditioning and toned biceps, and she recovers by the count of 8. This fight ain’t over, but first, both women still need to clear the final two minutes of this round.

Luisana and Blunt fly back into the fray, arms swinging like they never took a break. Hooks slam into the side of the head and cuff the chin in tandem, and both ladies are dishing and soaking up damage like this were the final round of the fight! Blunt hasn’t learned her lesson and chooses to hang and bang with the younger, more determined competitor. Luisana clearly has been working on her power as well, as she crunches another left hook into the chin, before stepping back and DRIVING another cross straight into Blunt’s face! That seems to have done it! This time, Emily spins and catches herself, looking punch-drunk. Luisana leaps in to finish her off, but it’s no use: the Brit slumps down again and thuds to the canvas! Referee takes one final look at the snoozing Hollywood actress, and WAVES the rest of the fight off! Blunt’s out cold, meaning it’s OVER!

Official Decision: Luisana Lopilato defeats Emily Blunt via KO6!

AFTER:
“THAT’S HOW IT’S DONE!!” Luisa shouts to noone in particular, parading around the ring and showing off her various battle scars: pockmarked tummy, a little cut over her cheek beginning to open up into something more serious, and of course, the various bruises over her arms and cheek.

But there’s no stopping the Vixen’s rise to the top, no matter how metreotic or slow it may be. “I want another shot at the Bantamweight title, and to do that, I need to push myself in the coming months,” she says. “No more holding back, no more time for caution. I’m getting my head in there and blasting the competition out of the way!”

As for Emily, she’s slowly recovering in the corner, nodding and shaking her head in response to the medic’s questions. Blunt may be past the age of winning the lineal titles, but there’s no stopping her from jumping into the recently announced Cougar tournament, and if tonight’s performance was any indication, the British actress might perform much better than expected!
