BEFORE: One might argue former champion Jessica Lowndes will do everything to bask in the spotlight and beach boxing isn't exactly her trademark thing but she'd love to beat up a hot Latina like Becky G who in turn remains ticked off most pundits claim Cierra Ramirez is the designated stable leader. There are rumours Jessica and Becky might book a bare knuckle bout in the foreseeable future as well but first up we're in the Palm Beach Gardens where the otherwise strong Hispanic contingent gives the petite singer a clear support edge against the tourist from north of the border.
"Doesn't matter, I'm still gonna eff her up!", Jessica keeps the war face on while Becky poses for additional phots inside the makeshift ring. "Just look at that pig! She is truly the worst sort. Can't sing and can't frickin' box either! This will take five minutes and I'll bash her face in!"
Jessica Lowndes wears a turquoise bikini set & black gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Becky G wears a pink bikini set & white gloves. Long black hair tied in a half-up ponytail. Both women are barefoot. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Jessica launches immediate jabbing attack and connects with the tiny Latina's head with ease due to a clear reach advantage. Becky displays supreme footwork in the opening minute but she can't quite stop the one-way traffic assault and gets thumped around the area before slumping on the ropes as Lowndes threatens to blow her up literally seconds into the contest. However the former champion gets carried away too much and bounces off the top of the singer's forehead which wobbles her into a rare uppercut response and Becky follows through in style to drop more vicious punches on target. Woof. Jessica's high guard gets exposed in a hurry and the late slugging flurry raises the noise among the fans as Becky rides a hot uppercut wave to steal the round on points and leave the LCA coach Eva Mendes fuming at the bell.
Round 2:
Lowndes seeks immediate redemption and she doesn't let Becky to carry on with the phone booth attack in the second. She keeps her at bay during the initial exchange and glues her mitts into the head-hunting attack which gradually begins to take its toll down the stretch. Becky tries to sneak in with a nifty left/right combo but fails to break through the stubborn guard this time and has to circle around in avoidance when the Canadian actress threatens to apply more hooking fury. Some fans want Becky to show that evil Mexican edge but the loud support falls on deaf ears as Lowndes stays hot in the slugging lane and pounds the otherwise sluggish singer onto the turnbuckle come the final seconds.
Round 3:
More of the same in the third, Jessica beats Becky to the initial punch and stacks up enough leather in the singer's face to make the younger woman think better off it. Coach Mendes still wants to see genuine damage and she urges the Canadian to slug it right into Becky's face but easier said than done as the tiny brunette still owns the supreme footwork and spins away from more trouble kicking up extra sand in the process. Lowndes taunts her verbally but Becky doesn't blink save for a similar tirade in Spanish... even Jessica doesn't need the subtitles but she crashes in with more head-hunting menace and pounds the brave albeit ineffective opponent onto the ropes where she finally plugs her in the gut to achieve a desired effect. Becky slumps into loud spasms and seeks a clinching stalemate however Jessica keeps pounding away in fury and has to be pulled back by the referee come the bell.
Round 4:
Becky tries to rally around in close range as she can't really allow Lowndes to extend the lead on the cards anymore... but she walks into a left/right combo straight away and endures more head-hunting pressure in the opening minute. Uh-oh! Jessica traps her in the hooking maze and piles on more leather to the point she cuts the singer across the nasal ridge before a looping left hook finds the ear and DROPS BECKY FLAT ON HER BACK amid a loud roar from the audience. Ugh! The Lioness Alpha is feeling that big 'W' coming as she salutes the patrons but the petite singer isn't quite done here yet as she wipes the blood off her nose and takes the standard eight count. She gets up and yells back at the opposition but here comes Lowndes for the finishing touches... only that Becky spins away from contact and bides her time in mid-range which only makes the Canadian even more upset. She connects with some single punches but is unable to knock Becky out of this fight and triggers another verbal tirade accusing Becky of pure cowardice.
Round 5:
Jessica spikes the singer low before going for another head-hunting blast but Becky is more aggressive against the odds having fallen miles off on the cards. She accepts the slugging invitation and while most fans expect her to go down in a heap at any moment now, she actually drills through the Canadian's solar plexus and connects with a promising uppercut series to snap Jessica's head back before she laces her on the ear as well. Woof. Lowndes has to gather her thoughts but she gets pummelled back to the ropes as Becky runs jabbing overdrive and overwhelms the older brunette through sheer work rate alone. She adds some shots on the rack as well but those ain't gonna bother a JMD veteran like Lowndes... until she blows up another harpoon on the liver area to sink the actress in loud spasms at the bell.
Round 6:
Becky continues her comeback and ducks underneath another aerial effort from the fellow brunette before stacking up more punches on the rack and this time Lowndes begins to feel the heat alright. She refuses to back off though and tries to break down the singer's resilience regardless but she misses with the hooking approach and eats a vicious stinger on the jaw instead. Ugh! She drops her gloves for a split second and Becky steps in to SLAM a right hook on the nose that sends her FLYING DOWN ON THE SAND... the Palm Beach Gardens crowd raises the noise level again and suddenly there's blood spilling from Jessica's nose as she battle back from the knockdown daze. Ugh! She looks more rattled than Becky was in the fourth but she gets up at eight. Coach Mendes wants immediate reaction only to have Becky blow more hooks into the Canadian's face amid a wild push for glory! The petite singer dismantles the Lioness high-guard and piles on more leather to add more bloody marks on Jessica's face who cannot defend herself anymore and bellows out on the ropes gasping for mercy... none is given though and Becky lands several unanswered punches on target before the REF JUMPS IN to save whatever is left from the Canadian pride. Uh-oh! A shocking turnaround is complete! TKO6 Becky G in come-from-behind fashion!!!
AFTER: Jessica is still too shocked to even argue the stoppage as she slumps down on her backside in the corner while Becky jumps on the ropes and salutes her devoted fans: "Cierra could never! This is how it's frickin' done!". She doubles down on that bare knuckle bout rematch but Eva Mendes bumps her off and claims Becky enjoyed more luck than deserved tonight. However some pundits begin to wonder if Jessica's punching resistance is simply compromised too much at this stage of her career. She's been in several slugging wars of attrition over the years and she might have to manage her schedule in different fashion going forward. These pesky youngsters are hell bent to claim her scalp and Becky offered some rude awakening that can't be blamed on lack of beach boxing experience by any means!
