BEFORE: Olivia Culpo's athletic frame is challenged into a true elite test as she squares off against the unofficial best abs of the division Nina Dobrev on the famous Long Beach sands. The former Miss Universe is no stranger to Sports Illustrated covers and she takes extra pride in being given this opportunity by the former divisional champion: "Nina is everyone's favorite but I plan to make a massive statement tonight! My abs are ready to be proven as elite and I can't wait to rise on those media charts all the way to the top. I'm as good as anyone in 120 lbs and I can totally knock Nina out!"
Nina has heard all the trash talk in her boxing career but she realizes Olivia can really throw a mean punch and might be more durable than Briana Evigan and Vanessa Hudgens combined: "She's getting all the right work outs with that Panthers running back. Good for her! But it's my job to discover her soft spot and I bet she has one!" (winks).

Round 1:
Nina wastes no time to deliver the early hits as Olivia was set to beat her to the punch any which way and the Long Beach crowd is handed a proper slugging contest in the opening minute. Some hard knocks all around and Nina holds the steady line to indicate experience is as important as the hype as she thumps the fellow brunette up the middle and rocks her head back & forth. Olivia refuses to back off at first but bursts into angry spasms when she realizes Dobrev hauls in a superior bunch and threatens to beat her face in a swollen mess way sooner than she'd have hoped for. She has to yield real estate to give the actress more room to stretch her elbows so Nina duly clobbers the reeling pageant winner to the turnbuckle where she punishes her exposed midriff for extra value.
Round 2:
Olivia finally gets behind her shots and she tags Nina on each temple before she heads south to punish the famed abs. You can almost hear Vanessa Hudgens' virtual laugh but Olivia is determined to drill the Canadian foe in half and Dobrev has to accept the challenge. She pancakes Culpo's midriff herself but then takes a stray elbow to the chest and wobbles to her heels while the Rhode Island native cranks up the slugging juice and barks in delight when she backs the former champion onto the ropes. Nina scowls in sudden pain and cuts a vulnerable figure when Olivia unloads the harpoon attack in the closing stages of the round; she cripples Dobrev into loud spasms again and has to be pulled back by the referee at the bell.
Round 3:
More success for the younger brunette who beats the otherwise slow-moving foe to the initial punch on the mouth but quickly settles downstairs to carve more lumps around the ribcage area. Olivia leans onto the Canadian actress and works the high-octane drive while Nina simply can't stretch her elbows here and drops into a hectic retreat that makes LCA coach Eva Mendes really upset in the corner. All Culpo in the second minute as she rips more clean harpoons on target and some Long Beach patrons begin to wonder if the Canadian woman is heading for the exit door soon... she manages to avoid more trouble when she clinches the charging Olivia and both women wrestle for supremacy for a while... ref lets them have it and Culpo trips Dobrev face-down on the sand right at the bell however she escapes any official lecture as she doesn't kick sand into the kneeling opponent's face after all. How generous!
Round 4:
It seems like Olivia is starting to take control of this beach bout and she rips more harpoons into Nina's abs in the opening minute but then falls for an overhand swing and Dobrev is able to land some uppercuts from the inside to barge the American off her comfort zone. Things become even less comfortable when Nina pummels the rack in rare tactical switch... she thumps Olivia on the mouth and triggers a frantic head-hunting exchange that appears to be a bad idea until she nails the younger brunette on the ear and sends her tripping back onto the ropes. Ugh! Olivia slumps in a hole and fails to match Dobrev's late slugging push that allows the former champion to restore order. She drops more leather on the rack to leave Culpo scowling in anger at the bell and the FMF crew has to perform a wardrobe check during the interval.
Round 5:
Olivia kicks up plenty of sand as she tries to square up to the fellow brunette but she bounces off the top of her forehead and gets laced by a vicious uppercut shot from the inside. Woof. Nina abandons the fancy ideas and lets it rip from close range as she slumps Culpo on her heels and powers ahead with the old fashioned facial mauling. Uh-oh! She cuts Olivia up below the left eye and shakes off the clinching attempt with another uppercut double before landing a brutal hook on the left eye TO DROP CULPO FLAT ON HER BACK!!! The Long Beach audience errupts in joy since a girl from East Coast hits the deck and Nina struts back to her corner where she indicates the former Miss Universe won't rise in time. The count is slow but Olivia can only sit down on her heels half-way through and appears to be badly shaken up by all those chin-chckers. She stays down on the sand offering a hollow look in her eyes. KO5 Nina Dobrev!!!
AFTER: "She's athletic alright but pretty dumb as well. Getting tackled by a running back can only help her cardio as much!", Nina quips about Olivia's prospects but truth be told it took a future Hall of Famer to really dent a hole in the American's rising stock. Many fans & pundits believe Olivia can easily challenge for a Top 20 spot and it would make more sense if she targeted someone like Briana Evigan next. She might not be ready to short cut to the elite conversation just yet but Nina didn't have it all under control tonight either. A couple of bad lumps on the Canadian's face clearly suggest she had her work cut out tonight.
