Before:

The beach tournament continues in a highly anticipated match between two Sports Illustrated swimsuit models. Hailey Clauson of the Sirens beat Eiza González of Odds & Ends in the first round while Emily DiDonato defeated Alice Sabatini of Italians Boxing Better. When asked about their foe, neither girl let much emotion into their responses.

“Emily’s held the FCBA lightweight and JMDD titles,” Hailey says, “She’s dangerous. But I know I can beat her. Both at conventional and JMDD fighting, but today it is conventional.”

“Hailey holds BBU JMDD gold and she’s a bit taller than I am.” DiDonato tells the press, “She will hit hard, and I have to be ready, because she is a girl I did not want to face when I saw the list.”

Emily the first girl to make her way to the ring, the brunette wearing her stable purple bikini set with matching gloves for the fight. Hailey steps out after, the blonde wearing a blue bikini set with white gloves. The two girls touch gloves and the bell rings for ten rounds of beach action.

Round 1:

The two swimsuit models start out by circling each other, both women trying to get a sense for their opponent. Clauson with the reach advantage and the blonde uses it early, forcing the brunette to fight defensively. Hailey works Emily into the ropes and connects with a left hook around the brunette’s guard and DiDo stumbles to her left. Hailey with a right follow up into Emily’s chest, but the Fates girl clinches before the Siren can do more damage. The ref gives the break and the two girls go back to circling. Hailey again goes to the jab for the reach advantage, keeping DiDonato at bay, but the brunette starts to find her counters, driving a pair of rights into the blonde’s chest. Hailey snarls and drives a left that clips the brunette’s chin as the bell rings, and the blonde takes the first round.

Round 2:

The second round starts the same as the first, both girls circling each other. DiDonato lands the first punch of the second, baiting the younger model with a right feint before connecting with a left hook. Clauson knocked back and DiDo connects with a right into her foe’s ribs as the blonde plants her feet. Hailey trades back with a right that wallops Emily in her jaw and sends Emily back! DiDonato gets her guard up to protect her head just in time to block a left from Clauson, but the blonde shifts her focus to the brunette’s body. Hailey plugs leather into Emily’s midriff, driving the air out of her lungs and forcing the brunette to look for the clinch. The blonde thumps a pair of rights into the brunette’s ribs and Emily locks in the clinch, but her flank is starting to redden. The bell rings and Hailey takes the second round on points to extend her lead.

Round 3:

DiDonato told to either pick up her game or she’d be out of the tournament, and it works as the brunette comes out with a purpose and expertly avoids a pair of jabs from the blonde and snaps the bigger girl’s head back with a right. Clauson taken aback but the BBU contender finds her footing and plants her feet, driving a big right back at DiDonato. The Fates girl doesn’t chase after the Siren and the two girls go back to circling. Emily dictating the jab trades, the brunette landing a left into the blonde’s mouth and knocking her back. Hailey again plants her feet and gets her guard up, ready for the counter, but this time Emily knows Hailey’s playbook and shifts right before going back after the blonde, this time catching her in the chin. The blonde staggers back into the ropes, kicking up sand and she covers up as the round is in its final seconds. The bell rings to bring Hailey mercy, and Emily takes the third on points, wide.

Round 4:

Emily starts off where she left off, driving lefts and rights at the bigger girl, but Hailey is ready for her. Clauson blocks a right and drives a left into the older girl’s jugs, making the brunette stop in her tracks. Hailey with a left into Emily’s already bruised ribs and the brunette’s guard opens up. Clauson splits DiDonato’s gloves with a right and sends the smaller model into the ropes! Hailey pounces on her foe and goes body, but the brunette didn’t find success without being able to take a punch and get out of a jam. Emily works the short game, working her right for a short counter into Hailey’s mouth. The blonde steps back and Emily escapes the ropes. Clauson chases after DiDo and lands a left, but DiDonato takes the blow and comes back with a left of her own that stops Clauson. The bell rings before either girl can do more to their opponent, and the blonde takes the fourth on points.

Round 5:

Hailey slowing down as sustaining offense against Emily has taken it’s toll and the brunette sees it. Emily turns up the tempo, circling around Hailey and jabbing crisply at the bigger girl, thumping her guard. Clauson with a counter into DiDonato’s chest, but the brunette takes the punch and finds the blonde’s mouth from close range, opening her upper lip. Hailey quick on the clinch before Emily can land a follow up, and the ref gives the break. Clauson working her jab out of the break, but DiDonato avoids the blows effortlessly despite not being able to tag Hailey back in the second. Clauson moves to turn up the tempo again, launching a pair of big jabs that connect with air as DiDo sidesteps the blows and drives Clauson’s head back with a right that nearly drops her! The bell rings before the Fates girl can finish off the job, but DiDonato looks to be in prime position for a victory.

Round 6:

Emily with a fire in her eyes and the brunette charges out of her corner, sand flying up as she approaches Hailey. Clauson plants her feet and drives out a hard right, the blonde determined to put up a fight. She catches Emily in her chest and the blonde follows up with a left, but her strike misses and Emily connects with a left hook into Hailey’s jaw. Clauson stumbles and backs up, her arms loosely up and DiDonato smashes a right-left straight combo through her gloves to send the blonde to the sand. Clauson quickly gets to all fours, the Siren stubbornly not staying down and beating the count despite her battered appearance, and the ref waves DiDonato back in. Emily teeing off on Hailey and works the blonde into the ropes, the blonde’s gloves loosely up to protect her head but Emily’s burying leather into her midriff. Clauson’s butt in ropes, desperate to hang on to the end of the round, but she sinks back further and further into the ropes and the ref steps in! Your winner by TKO6, Emily DiDonato!

After:

Emily DiDonato raises her gloves in victory as she earns herself a spot in the semifinals of the beach competition. Hailey Clauson with her head in her hands as she’s helped to her stool, the blonde knowing she’s out of the tournament. Emily waits for Hailey before going over to hug the blonde, but the Siren is less than thrilled with the result, leaving the exchange a cold one. DiDonato leaves the ring and heads to the press conference.

“I knew I could beat her,” Emily tells the press, “Now I’m in the semis, and I know I will probably be facing Amanda Righetti. I’ve been looking forward to an excuse to fight the famed redhead - bring her on.”
