Before:

The first round of the Queen of the Beach tournament sees a clash between two gorgeous models as Alice Sabatini of Italians Boxing Better takes on one of the tournament favorites in Emily DiDonato of Fates. None of the IBB girls have been able to take down the Goshen Goddess, but what better way to flip the script than knocking out a favorite in the first round? Sabatini has the youth and fights in the heavier than DiDonato, and that power may come in handy.

“I’m not concerned about Alice’s strength,” Emily tells the press, “I’ve knocked out Kate Upton, I’ve knocked out Brooklyn Decker, I’ve knocked out her stablemate Diletta Leotta, all girls who fight at welterweight. I don’t intend to lose to Alice, and especially not on the beach.”

“Emily is a has-been” Sabatini responds when asked about her opponent, “We at IBB are sick of hearing how she’s a top fighter. I’m going to prove that she can’t compete with girls as strong as me.”

DiDonato is the first girl out to the ring, the brunette wearing a tight fitting blue bikini set that shows off her curves and red gloves. The American girl settles into the ring and focuses on the entrance. Sabatini steps out moments later in a green bikini set with white gloves. The two girls stares each other down before thumping their gloves together and the bell rings.

Round 1:

Emily and Alice both quickly leave their corners and trade jabs, both girls with the same reach. DiDonato lands a pair of rights early on that force Sabatini to fall back and the two girls begin circling each other. Alice feints left and Emily takes the bait, letting the Italian girl drill her American counterpart with a right. Now Emily the girl dropping back and Alice follows, shooting out another right, but DiDo blocks the follow-up. The circling continues with both girls trading blows until the final minute as Emily lands a right into Alice’s ribs and the younger girl winces from the blow. DiDonato follows up with a left hook that slips around her foe’s guard and knocks the IBB girl back, but Alice stays strong and clinches to force a break. Sabatini keeps her distance to end the round, and Emily takes the first round on points, close.

Round 2:

Sabatini and DiDonato leave their corners quickly for the second straight round, but this time the two girls start circling quickly. Emily again with the early advantage, this time thanks to a feint which Alice falls for too easily and the American lands a right into her breadbasket. Alice winces and Emily follows up with a left into her foe’s midriff, drawing a groan out of the Italian girl and the American works her opponent into the ropes. Alice clinches as Emily drives her back to the edge of the ring and the ref steps in to pull the two girls apart. DiDo goes right back after Sabatini after the break and takes a left to her chin as the IBB girl finds her strike. Alice quick to pounce and drive a right across Emily’s body, but the bell rings before she can find more blows.

Round 3:

Alice with the momentum coming into the third and she dances around Emily, working her jab back into the brunette’s face and gets the former lightweight champion on her heels early. Sabatini splits the brunette’s gloves with a solid right and nails the Fates girl in her mouth and draws blood! Emily goes for the clinch, wrapping up the Italian girl but not before Alice connects with a blow to her midriff that draws an “oof” out of Emily. The two girls are separated and Alice continues to chase Emily down, landing blows from a distance into Emily’s body. DiDonato protecting her head and counterpunching when she can, but the IBB girl keeps her Fates counterpart from stringing together her punches. The bell rings and Alice storms back in the third to take the round on points, wide.

Round 4:

Sabatini finding her stride as the welterweight unleashes an onslaught of heavy strikes that show off her power and she catches DiDonato with a right hook that nearly drops the former lightweight champion! Emily is staggered and Alice pounces with a left that Emily somehow blocks on instinct, but the favorite is in trouble as Alice pours on the hurt! Sabatini plunging leather into DiDonato’s ribs and drills her into the ropes, the Fates girl’s ribs turning right from the punishment. Emily trying to counterpunch but the American girl can’t find consistent strikes while the Italian pounds her body and Emily is forced to clinch. The ref pulls the two girls apart and Alice goes right back after Emily. Sabatini shoots out a right at DiDonato’s head, but she only connects with the air and Emily snaps her head back with a right! Alice stunned and Emily shells her with a hook and now the Italian girl staggers backward and Emily is on the hunt! DiDo with a left across her foe’s chest as the bell rings, and while Alice takes the round, the momentum favors Emily.

Round 5:

DiDonato with a second wind out of her corner while Sabatini is slow to exit hers, and on comes DiDo. Emily with a right into Alice’s midriff early that drives the air out of her lungs and the Italian girl is forced to go for the clinch, but the American escapes before she can wrap her up. Emily with a left into Alice’s breadbasket, knocking the younger girl off balance and the Italian girl swings wildly with a desperation right that clips the American in her chin. Alice regains her footing and lines up a right and her legs buckle as Emily connects with a right haymaker! Sabatini kicking up sand as she tries to stay upright, but DiDonato is slugging lefts and rights into her head and down goes the Italian girl! Sabatini crawling towards the ropes as the ref counts, her hand outstretched, and she grabs a hold of the bottom rope, but the ref’s at the count of eight! Alice tries to pull herself up, but she can’t beat the ten count and the bell rings. Your winner by KO5, Emily DiDonato!

After:

DiDonato continues to frustrate the IBB girls as she comes up with another victory. Emily waits until Alice has regained her senses before going over and hugging the other girl. Sabatini makes it clear that the hug is not welcome and DiDonato backs away and leaves the ring.

“I can’t help that I can on beating IBB girls,” Emily says, “If they want to label me as their enemy, that is fine with me. But right now, I am focused on winning the beach tournament.”

Alice short with her words when talking to the press, “We will get Emily someday. That is a promise.”

Emily DiDonato moves on in the beach tournament as another stable seemingly labels her as a foe on a target list, this time by IBB.
