Cierra Ramirez vs. Dove Cameron (United Flyweight Championship)
(Results: Lookout. Words: Wiz)

BEFORE:

Cierra's had an interesting career thus far. The Latina beauty is barely above .500 career, BUT, she's fought against great competition and has a pile of impressive wins, with victories over girls like Moner, Cole, Cicchino, Hale, Lavigne...and Michelle Williams. And, there's the rub. No doubt HISC is looking to gain a little revenge here, giving Cierra her second shot at the flyweight title with confidence the mouse is not going to find a way to get the cheese. But, Ramirez is plenty confident she's going to do JUST that. "Dove was nothing until she got with Michelle," says Cierra. "And, Williams taught her everything she knows. Well. I know how to beat Williams. So, I know how to beat Dove."

"She got lucky one night in January of last year," says Dove dismissively, "And, she's been living off it ever since. Well. Tonight, she's going to suck canvas and I'M going to get one back for Michelle."

ROUND ONE:

Ramirez playing the role of girl with nothing to lose, coming right after Dove with early flurries. Yeah. Not the best idea. Blonde was more than ready for this kind of thing, slipping and blocking while countering strongly and backing up the shorter brunette. With Cierra on the back foot, the champion takes over. Now, it's Dove who's coming forward, actually walking the lovely Latina down, working her over to head and body as Cierra's corner screams for their fighter to "MOVE!" But, Ramirez is hanging in there, staying in front of Dove, looking to turn things with one big counter. Not happening. Cameron's staying sound while piling up points and punishment right to the bell. When it rings, the champion's taken the points wide and grabbed the early 10-9 advantage.

ROUND TWO:

Cierra hears it in the corner between rounds, and she gets moving. And, now we see the fight the experts told us we were going to see. Two athletic girls involved in a war of movement. Because, as good as Ramirez can be at this sort of thing, well. Dove has proven to be deadly dangerous on the move. Result is a great, action-packed, back-and-forth round that sees a very high work rate from both blonde and brunette. And, while neither fighter can gain any real advantage, both do plenty of scoring and even find time to work a little body in an effort to take something out of the legs of their respective opponent. Add it all up and it comes to a very, very close round. When the bell rings, though, it's the brunette who's gotten the points and we're even at 19.

ROUND THREE:

Cierra getting into a rhythm now. She's getting off quickly, slipping away before Dove can counter, playing hard to get with her movement, forcing Cameron to pursue. Dove does, but she's having trouble getting to her spots. And, that means the Latina can PICK hers...which she does. And, very, very well, stopping to pop, getting off in combination, and getting right back moving before Dove can do much of anything. Cameron doesn't get frustrated or sloppy. She may only be 26, but she's a veteran of 37 fights now, twenty of them over the last two years under the tutelage of Michelle Williams. She knows that this, too, shall pass, and she's not going to press the issue and give her rival an advantage. So it is that when the bell rings, Ramirez has taken it wide to lead 29-28. And Dove needs to make some adjustments.

ROUND FOUR:

Doesn't happen in round four. In fact, the fourth is, basically, a rerun of the third. Cierra's in control from the opening bell. She's everywhere and nowhere and EXACTLY where she wants to be. This is great stuff from the lovely Latina, who's taking charge of a title fight by simply outfighting the champion. Dove can't get anything going. She lands here and there, but it's all one-punch stuff. The challenger has her flummoxed, and she keeps the blonde that way the entirety of the round. Meanwhile, Cierra's piling up points, powdering her rival's face. Cameron's never hurt, but she is ABSOLUTELY getting touched up in a big way, with her face starting to puff up a little by rounds end. At the bell, there's no question about it. It's Cierra wide again and Ramirez has moved into a 39-37 lead.

ROUND FIVE:

Cameron adjusts. Rather than pursue and try to cut the ring, she's staying in the center. When Cierra circles, Dove turns. She's going to make the Latina make the first move, and be ready when she does. And, it works like a charm. When Ramirez stops to pop, Dove is coiled and ready and often gets off first. She's the one landing in combination now, and, while the brunette manages to do so here and there, she's unable to put punches together consistently. She's being BEATEN to the punch too often, being forced to cover up and circle away before she can get anything going. Result is that the champion slowly begins building and lead, and, when the bell rings ending the stanza, she's built a big one. It's the blonde wide in the fifth, and Cierra's lead is down to 48-47 at the half.

ROUND SIX:

More of the same. Dove's adjusted and now Cierra has to, but the brunette can't seem to find anything that works, at least at the moment. Cameron's the one getting the work done and, about a minute in, BOOM! Right hand, DOVE! The champ ROCKS the challenger and sends her wobbling backward. And NOW Dove's coming forward behind that jab, backing up the brunette, working her over to head and body, pinning her to the ropes. This is GREAT stuff from the champion, as she calmly puts together flurry after flurry, setting up hard right hands with jabs, hooking some body, landing punches in bunches. Cierra's hanging on in the tight earmuff, firing back in spots, but doing no more than that. It's enough to keep the ref at bay, but, when the bell rings, Dove's taken it wide and evened things at 57.

ROUND SEVEN:

Dove right back to work. Cierra's legs are plenty iffy, and Cameron is taking full advantage. Champ working the left, backing Ramirez up with the right, hooking body, DIGGING punches into the ribs and midsection. Ramirez in retreat, not even trying to hold ground, countering here and there, but mostly taking a beating. A minute in. BOOM! Right hand, DOVE and DOWN GOES RAMIREZ! It's a GUIDED MISSILE of a straight right from the champion, and she raises her arms in victory on the way to a neutral corner. Cierra down on her back, staring wide-eyed at the referee as he counts down on her. She sees, but she doesn't seem to comprehend. She just watches, barely moving, as the numbers get larger. It's OVER! The count passes Cierra by and it's OVER! And your winner by KO7 and STILL Unified Flyweight Champion is DOVE CAMERON!

AFTER:

Dove puffy, a trickle of blood coming from a small cut over one eye, but she's smiling. "I told you. This girl got lucky one night, but she wasn't getting lucky tonight. It's great to get this win, to defend my title again, but it's even better to get one back for Mishy. Now, I've got one question for you. Who's NEXT?"
