Top lightweight action sees undefeated sensation Lily James taking on hall of famer Taylor Swift. James came onto the scene in the BBU in 2020, and has defeated Tasya Teles, hall of famer Yvonne Strahovski, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and future hall of famer Kendall Jenner in her last four fights. A victory against Taylor Swift would remove any remaining doubt and would almost certainly propel the actress into the title picture with the scalps of five of the best fighters in the FCBA.

Taylor not buying the hype for Lily, and the blonde lets the press know it. “I know she’s beaten some good fighters, but most of her wins are against stat padders. I’m going to bring her back to reality tonight. I am better than she is. She is a nobody.”

Lily keeps her calm, not overreacting unlike other girls Swift has insulted. “Taylor has been around the FCBA a long time. I think it’s time she has someone new to knock her down.”

Taylor the first girl out for the fight, the blonde wearing a black sports bra and matching trunks with white gloves. The singer paces back and forth as the actress is announced. Lily steps out wearing a blue sports bra with orange trunks and matching gloves, her air in a ponytail for the fight. The brunette extends her gloves but the blonde pays her no attention, and the ref calls for the bell once he realizes Taylor won’t touch gloves.

Round 1:

Taylor quickly out of her corner while Lily cautiously advances, and the singer wastes no time throwing jabs left and right. Swift using her reach advantage and forcing James to stay defensive, but the British girl’s guard does its job. Taylor shifts her focus to the brunette’s body, picking a spot on her ribs, but Lily’s in range. The undefeated actress finds a pair of blows back into the hall of fame singer, and the two girls get tangled. The ref steps in to separate them and the fight continues. Swift establishes her jab again and James backs away, the Brit knowing she can’t hang with the blonde’s power and reach. Taylor continues to work her jab, forcing Lily back, but the singer can’t corner her in the ropes. The bell rings and Taylor takes the first round on points.

Round 2:

James quick out of her corner and the actress bobs left and right, frustrating Swift’s jabs. Taylor shoots out a right that flies by the younger girl’s head and Lily plows leather into Taylor’s abs, the blonde not pleased by the blow. James follows up with a short left follow up and clinches before Swift can respond to get the ref to break. The two girls are separated and James continues darting left and right, the younger girl frustrating the veteran as she lands a punch and retreats consistently before the hall of fame Swift can find a punch back. Lily with growing confidence darts in and drives a pair of blows into Taylor’s ribs - and gets drilled in her own ribs as she’s stayed in Taylor’s range for too long and the blonde punishes her. The actress clinches and the bell rings a moment later, and Lily evens the fight on points.

Round 3:

Swift and James both quick out of their corners to start the third and the blonde lands the first blow, but Taylor lands the first blow and jabs Lily’s head. Swift winds up and goes for another strike, but James is already shifting and strikes Swift in her jaw. Taylor stunned and Lily pounds another blow into her jaw and the singer wobbles on her feet. James taking the initiative as Swift covers her head and the brunette goes body, picking a spot on the blonde’s ribs and going body, driving the bigger girl back into the ropes. Taylor quick on the clinch and gets the break, but the former champion’s body is starting to show shades of red. Taylor with another jab to ward off Lily but the Brit sidesteps and hits the American in her mouth. The round ends and James with an impressive showing against the hall of fame fighter.

Round 4:

Taylor told to keep it textbook between rounds and reasserts her jabs, keeping the blows crisp and keeping Lily at a distance. James feints left to try and deceive the singer, but the blonde doesn’t fall for the bait and connects with a left into the brunette’s face. Lily drops back and Taylor chases after her, landing a right to her ribs that makes the younger girl wince. James clinches and the two girls are pulled apart. The referee restarts the fight and Swift comes out with a quick left into James’s body, but the brunette fires a right into the singer’s midriff. Taylor winces but the blonde fires a pair of quick blows into the rookie fighter’s body and forces the smaller girl to clinch after giving up ground. Taylor takes the fourth round on points, wide.

Round 5:

Neither girl seems to be tiring as the fight comes up on the halfway point and James is more mobile in the fifth, working left and right of Swift. Lily hammers a left into Taylor’s chest and shoots out a right at her head, but Taylor bobs out of the way and snaps Lily’s head back with a left! James is stunned and on comes the veteran! Taylor not showing any mercy as she plugs leather into Lily’s body and the brunette gasps as Taylor finds her solar plexus. Swift follows up with a left hook that sends the actress spinning and the singer lines up a right-left combo that drops James! Lily knocked down and the ref starts counting. James picks her head up and sees the ref at four, and the Brit groans as she gets her arms underneath her. The actress sucks in a deep breath before pushing herself up to all fours and then to both feet to beat the count. The ref waves Taylor back in and the blonde goes back to Lily’s body, but James takes the blows and tags Taylor back. The bell rings and Lily is still standing, but the round goes to Taylor on points.

Round 6:

Taylor confidently out of her corner as she has a fire in her eyes and goes for the knockout and Lily does her best to block the singer’s blows. The actress keeps her guard up as the signer finds lefts and rights to her body, but James stays out of the ropes. Swift landing blows into James’s body, the brunette’s midriff turning redder by the second, but the brunette stays on her feet. Taylor works in close and Lily clinches and forces the break. Taylor ready to go right after Lily out of the pause but her head snaps backwards as James surprises her by stepping up and launching a lightning quick right. Swift is stunned and James crushes a left into her jaw and the blonde is sent reeling back. Lily working in close and peppering Taylor’s body, her blows making a steady echo off of the singer’s toned figure and Taylor lets out a shout as Lily connects with a left across her chest. The bell rings and James with a statement to end the sixth.

Round 7:

James is confidently out of her corner and Swift is moving more cautiously, her midriff red from the pounding in the sixth. Lily darting left and right as she sticks Taylor with blow after blow and the blonde’s covering up as the smaller girl is out maneuvering her. James keeping it textbook, working Swift’s body, and the blonde looks like she is out of gas! Taylor’s blows are labored and telegraphed, the blonde moving sluggishly around the ring. Swift shoots out a left at James’s head and James nearly takes Swift’s head off with a right! Taylor staggering around the ring, the blonde stunned and with a blank expression, and on comes Lily! The brunette landing blow after blow, smacking the blonde in her ribs and torso and the singer stiffens as Lily lands a right hook into Taylor’s jaw. James lines up a pair of rights that squarely tag Swift in her chin and down goes the singer! James pricing to her corner as Swift is on the canvas, the ref counting. The crowd cheers louder and louder as the ref’s count gets closer to ten, the singer barely rolling herself onto her stomach before the ref reaches ten. Your winner by an upset KO7, Lily James!

After:

The crowd roars to applause as Lily raises her gloves, the actress even with a look of surprise on her own face as her undefeated streak continues with the win of her career so far. Taylor blubbering as she realizes she lost, the blonde inconsolable by the Fates staff. The crowd starts chanting the undefeated girl’s name, “Lily! Lily! Lily!” as she walks around the ring. James goes over to Swift but the singer shoves her away.

“You aren’t better than me! You’re not!” Taylor screams at the woman who just defeated her.

James smirks and shakes her head, leaving the sore-loser behind.

When asked about the fight and the post match encounter and her future, James laughs, “Well, I knew Taylor would be tough, but I think she underestimated me and paid for it. She’s just angry she lost to the future of the FCBA.” James pauses, “As for what is next, I think beating Taylor is a statement. Let’s see who dares challenge me.”

Swift still fuming when she gets into the press conference, making her point early, “I will knock that Brit out. Guaranteed.”
