BEFORE:
“Losing to Millie was a pretty huge letdown for me…” Maddie says first from the press table. True to her words, the latest Doll on the roster looks a little unsure of herself in her seat at the table, shifting nervously from side to side and occasionally glancing downwards. “I'm sure I can beat her if she gives me a rematch...and she better! It took me a few days to get over it...losing definitely sucks. But I'm ready for Katherine tonight. She's been in like, 3 times the amount of fights I have, but she's lost her last 3, and I'm confident I can bounce back with a big win tonight. Besides, it’s my birthday today!” Maddie pauses, smiling wide as the room cheers her. “Very excited to get back to winning and to show everyone I'm going to keep at it even with all the setbacks until I'm the best. I wanna be the best - that's what I'm here for. So yeah, good luck Katherine... you'll need it!"

While Maddie’s only recently suffered her second ever loss, McNamara is on a three-fight losing streak, and has every bit more of a reason to complain about her fortunes. The Fates redhead frowns repeatedly from across the press table, before responding with just a smidgen of malice in her tone:

“First time, Maddie?” Kat says. “Trust me, you’ll get used to losing sooner rather than later. It just goes to show how little time you’ve spent in the ring compared to the rest of us. But don’t worry, I’ll get you real acquainted with losing, fast.”

Maddie’s one-inch advantage isn’t going to give her much of a lead, and Katherine is packing some muscle in her toned figure, her upper arms looking especially muscular compared to the slimmer looking Ziegler, which might have her work cut out for her tonight by the dangerous redhead if the fight comes down to sheer power. Soft pose on the podium as both ladies square off with their fists raised and steady stares, then they separate without another word.

Hours later, Maddie is the first to arrive into the arena, walking through the curtains in a lime yellow sports top and light blue short tights, with blue boxing gloves on both hands. The blonde’s hair is tied in a bun as she’s smiling back at the fans who greet her with loud cheers. After posing for a few seconss on the ramp, Maddie signals to her team and begins striding down towards the ring, accompanied closely by Dollhouse CEO Carmen Electra. All eyes will be on her tonight to see if she truly can pick herself up from a recent loss to Millie Bobby Brown.

Up next is Miss McNamara, the redhead having tied her flaming hair into a long braid out back, also raising a fist high to acknowledge her fans. The Fates girl is wearing a black sports bra and red boxing trunks, complete with red gloves.
The young girls are soon ready, bouncing up and down in their corners and the referee gets this fight started with a wave of the hand! HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Maddie takes all opponents seriously, no matter what their reputation is or how little experience they have. She’s disciplined at the start, closing in gingerly and throwing jabs towards Kat’s head to test her defenses. McNamara, also the same, knows that Maddie’s got the speed and accuracy to hurt her out of nowhere if she ain’t careful, exchanges fire with the Doll at a safe distance and soon finds her groove, firing very quick jabs at the young dancer. First two minutes and the redhead’s landing her punches a little more frequently than her counterpart, another straight hand connecting with the chin and drawing a gasp from Maddie’s lips. Ziegler however isn’t too worried, responding later with a flurry of her own that ends with an overhand slammed off the forehead, knocking Kat backwards and punishing her for her complacency. Good action from both corners in the very first round, though Ziegler probably edged her foe out in terms of points.

ROUND 2:
McNamara shows off both her strength and speed at the start of the second, surprising Maddie early on with a sudden blitz attack that peppers her frame with multiple punches. Kat’s been doing this boxing thing far longer, more comfortable at ring control as she pushes in and lands another three-punch combo to Maddie’s arms and body the has the blonde groaning, then scoots out of the way before the newcomer Doll can react. Maddie’s growing frustrated as a result, growling as another of her return hooks misses completely. What’s worse is the Doll’s defensive nature means she’s not as eager to rush in and chase after Kat, allowing the redhead to continue this pattern of abuse unabated. Last few seconds see Maddie attempt to predict her opponent’s movements before swinging a low hook to the body to finally snag a couple of points for herself. But it’s too little, too late, as Kat has clearly taken a wide lead when the bell rings.

ROUND 3:
Kat attempts the same strategy as before, but gets met with a sudden hailstorm of punches towards her head when she first sails into the breach. Maddie’s had enough of these hit-and-run tactics, preempting the route by throwing her punches a little earlier than expected, meaning she’s able to catch Kat with a brief overhand off the top of the head, another hook bashing into her arms to throw her slightly off balance. And here comes Maddie, looking for payback, both arms up and her eyes focused, walking McNamara down towards the ropes, lefts and rights chopping into her sides and catching across the arms to try and break her guard. Occasional return jab from Kat does minor damage to the nose and lips, but Maddie’s filled with too much adrenaline to quit now, thereby dominating the rest of the action until the bell.

ROUND 4:
Back and forth we go, and Ziegler’s bold-faced attempt to come in hot like another comet is met with renewed energy from McNamara, who moves even faster on her feet, carrying her slender torso a greater distance away from the action. Maddie, however, realizes she’s giving her foe target practice, her face continuing to attract leather as Kat fends her off with jab after jab after jab landing to her nose and lips, till Ziegler finally slows down towards the middle mark to reevaluate. Ladies settle into a holding pattern, circling and firing one-two combos to the arms, trying to pry those weathered arms apart. Maddie makes several lunges under the guard to try and snag the tummy, but Kat expertly slips out of the way or uses her arms to intercept, and the round ends with the Doll once more eating leather to face with a sudden, lightning right jab crunched to the cheek. Wide round swings right back to the Fates corner.

ROUND 5:
Both girls are still looking sharp in there, and we’re only in the fifth round of this fight! Maddie’s still moving measuredly, a couple of steps forward at a time before unleashing her attacks all at once, and with greater force. Kat takes the abuse, covering up but grunting when a couple of Maddie’s gloves make impact with her waistline. McNamara not giving up just yet, however, returning with an overhand of her own that slams into the forehead, but Ziegler doesn’t show any signs of being dazed or giving up, taking that hit and STILL coming inwards to brawl! McNamara can’t believe her eyes, gets forced to cover up as she’s driven straight into the ropes, trying to protect every inch of her body, to no avail! Maddie smells blood, arms and fists wailing away at the redhead’s undercarriage before bashing more hooks and uppercuts into the wilting guard, each nasty swing driving Katherine further down the ropes with a loud UNNGHH!! Till Maddie finally shoves her arms apart long enough to NAIL her across the chin with a hook! AND DOWN SHE GOES!! McNamara looks stunned, blasted off her feet, then collapsing down to the side and barely able to raise her dazed chin back up! The referee starts and ends the count with McNamara barely pushing herself off the canvas, whilst Maddie is confidently looking on from the neutral corner and the referee finally waves his arms overhead, and signals for the final bell! This fight’s OVER!

Official Decision: Maddie Ziegler defeats Katherine McNamara via KO5!

AFTER:
A big bounce-back win for the birthday girl as a huge smile forms on Maddie’s face at the sound of the bell. The 20 year old raises both arms and turns to face the fans, waving and thanking them for supporting her tonight.

She was able to overcome a dangerous and experienced opponent tonight after recovering from her first KO defeat, and earns a big hug from a very proud looking Carmen Electra in the corner. The Dollhouse CEO is counting on Ziegler being the future star of the stable at the flyweight division, and so far so good.

As Katherine makes her recovery with the help of her team and is taken to her corner, Maddie is already busy leaving the ring and signing autographs for some lucky fans on her merry way out – and with her big win tonight, the Dollhouse’s ‘Mad Dog’ will surely continue her celebrations into the small hours of the morning! Happy 20th Birthday Maddie Ziegler!
