BEFORE: Many pundits believe Maria Ozawa is a better fighter than her record indicates but the proof is always in the pudding and the Japanese former AV actress couldn't last three rounds against Roxanne Pallett back in April. Here she goes against another British veteran Cheryl Cole who is widely regarded as a better fighter in all departments so perhaps Ozawa is puching above her status right now yet all it takes is one victory over a higher-ranked opponent and you're back in the spotlight in no time.

Cheryl Cole wears a leopard print crop top, micro jeans shorts & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a half-up ponytail. Maria Ozawa wears a black bikini set & silver gloves. Long black hair loose & straight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Cheryl storms out of her stool to deliver immediate slugging heat and she nails Maria on the jaw with a couple of hard licks before driving a left hook into her mouth. Maria wobbles to her heels upon impact and gets swamped by more vicious shots as Cole tears it up from the onset and pummels the shockingly subdued opponent back to the ropes. Ozawa struggles to land even a single punch on target and her high-guard collapses in wake of this furious Geordie charge. Chezza takes no prisoners here and only needs a minute to render Maria numb, the Japanese woman folds into loud spasms and can't even clinch herself into safety.... Cheryl hammers it from both flanks and gets vocal as she notices how she's totally blowing the doors off the Asian foe. Maria cries out in pain when she takes another hard right on the eye and slumps into a vicious uppercut on the jaw that sends her back to the orbit! Uh-oh! DOWN GOES OZAWA crashing down on her backside in the corner! Chezza struts back to coach Eva Mendes and shouts back at the crowd while Maria is left crying her heart out as the merciless count passes her by. Shocking KO1 Cheryl Cole!!!

AFTER: You don't often see a flyweight contest that doesn't go beyond the opening round but Cheryl totally destroyed the AV actress. That wasn't even a glorified sparring session and sadly makes Maria look even more out of her depth against in-form contenders. She's not quite ready for this level and might never be ready either.

Meanwhile Cheryl points out she has noticed the influx of new names into the division and she might offer a challenge or two to the Ortegas and Sinks of this world! You have been warned!
