Donna D'Errico vs Gena Lee Nolin ('Baywatch' Cougar Special)
(FCBA Independent vs Sceej Boxing) (10-9, 6 KO vs 131-82-3, 87 KO) Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago
BEFORE: Another throwback to the 1990s as Donna D'Errico took exception to Pamela Anderson's comments about who really dominated the Malibu TV set during 'Baywatch' original run. VHS footage doesn't lie but Donna still knocked Pamela out on last month's PPV and prompted Gena Lee Nolin to come out of retirement to prove her case... again:
"It's not like all VCRs in this country ain't working? I have no frickin' clue what Donna thinks she remembers ? Maybe I punched too many brain cells out of her stupid head after all? I wrecked her #### ass several times in the 90s and guess I'll have to do it again in 2022!"
Donna D'Errico wears a golden bikini & red gloves. Long dyed brown hair loose & straight. Gena Lee Nolin wears a beige bikini set & brown gloves. Long blonde hair wrapped in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds at 135 lbs catchweight.
Round 1: Gena Lee has all the size advantage here but she comes out slooooow... and Donna is right on her thumping efficient leather to the body before flicking a quick double upstairs. Nolin laughs off the effort at first but then gets whacked on the chest again and has to get going as Donna racks up a significant number of clean strikes on target. She ducks underneath Gena's inaccurate heave and settles down to punch the taller blonde to the body with Nolin still looking rusty as heck and getting bounced around the ring for remainder of the round. Donna lights up the crowd's reaction by trapping Nolin on the ropes and busting her over and over again... Gena might be stone cold on offense so far but those abs can still take a mean punch or two even with D'Errico dominating the three minutes in emphatic fashion.
Round 2: Donna believes she can keep blasting Gena for some time yet but the Minnesota native rises above that dismal first round and uses her superior reach to plug meaningful leather early in the second. Mobility is still at premium but Gena's been doing this stuff for 20+ years so she knows how to rattle an old foe even with questionable physical status. Donna is foolish enough to engage in back & forth slugging until she gets nailed across the nasal ridge one time too many and wobbles to the side while Gena drops the harpoon charge to give D'Errico a taste of her own body assault medicine. And the Alabama native has to bail out of the close range tussle and spends the final stretch hanging around the mid-distance mark. "Guess you remember how I nuked your ribs after all?", Gena taunts the reeling woman but Donna doesn't bite on the mocking and stays on with the eye contact after the bell as the referee has to step in and lead them away to opposite corners.
Round 3: Donna's superior footwork makes the difference early in the third while it becomes clear Gena is probably seeking a genuine slam dunk finish as she tries to taunt the older Baywatch actress into some mistake. Donna seemingly doesn't have the tools to apply a similar tactics but she's got the brains to wear the Minnesota native out instead... that's what Jenny McCarthy says in the booth anyway! The back & forth chess match kicks into a higher gear when Donna hits down on the body to resume the successful drill from the opening round and Nolin remains too slow on her feet to escape the upset heat. D'Errico barges her onto the ropes and moves up to clatter into Gena's jugs as well before she gets trapped in a standing headlock as Nolin simply refuses to let go and tells the ref to beat it. Woof. Fans don't like it and Gena smacks a couple of shots in the brunette's kidneys to prove her point. Careful now... it's a bad sign for the alleged Baywatch dominatrix to behave like that and the crowd lets her hear it after the bell.
Round 4: Gena's almost forced Donna into blowing her gasket so maybe that was the plan all along. Gone is the methodical hit & run style as D'Errico engages in a furious slugging war of attrition which should always favor the bigger woman by default. And it's too late for Donna to recover once she realizes her mistake since Gena just blows it into her face and threatens to spill some plastic out! Standing there and battering the other woman's face is exactly what Nolin wants and she uses Donna's features as target practice pillar to post to win back the crowd support in a blink of an eye! Donna cries out with every punch landing on her face and she's glued to the spot here plus she just doesn't have Nolin's power supply to hang in for the long haul. Bell saves her from a looming disaster but her left eye is almost swollen shut after all those hits suffered and there is no eye contact between the two cougars anymore.
Round 5: Donna is badly damaged here and Gena suddenly injects a burst of speed to catch her out wholesale. A quick one-two on each temple slumps the guard before a brutal left hook nails the older woman on the nose and cripples her into louder spasms. Just raise the damn hands... oh, too late... Big Bad G flies in with a vicious right hook on the nose and SENDS DONNA FLOATING through the air to crash HARD on the boards with her eyes closed. Ugh! That should do it as Donna remains motionless in spread eagle fashion and the count is waved off at five. KO5 Gena Lee Nolin!!!
AFTER: "Guess my appoval is still needed after all? Donna and Pam can beat each other all day long but I'm still the one that counts! Always have... always will. Look at that tramp! She's lucky if her nose isn't fractured! Will she put the gloves back on ever again?", Gena is quick for some post-fight review while the medical crew tries to revive the semi-conscious D'Errico down on the boards.
It's unclear if Gena's comeback remains a genuine one-off or not and Scrubby McGee might have to address that dilemma next week while the Global Boxing Syndicate doubles down on their own cougar plans for D'Errico: "We're still ready with Salli (Richardson) and Jennifer (Aniston) to enjoy their own comeback so we hope Donna does indeed recover from this loss to face the music on the October PPV!" Once the Alabama native regains her functions she quickly confirms her match-making plans: "Sure, bring those hoes down! I'll smack them right back to the GBS gym and then we can talk who won't put the gloves on anymore!"
Official Result: Gena Lee Nolin def. Donna D'Errico KO5. |
