BEFORE:
Lauren Mayberry smiling and waving as she entered the press hall earlier, before taking her seat at the table. It's not often indeed we get an appearance from the Scottish Doll, and so the assembled press are buzzing with excitement at tonight's anticipated match-up.

"I don't fight as often as my colleagues, but I like that it gives me a lot of time to prepare for each opponent. I know Camila is going to be a tough opponent..she knocked out Hayley a few years ago and she's coming off of two straight wins. She's going to be a good test for me going forward. But...I've been studying her and training hard and am pretty confident I will pass," Mayberry says with a wink.

Cabello is of course not convinced, the Latino bombshell of a singer having never been flying higher in her boxing career than she has tonight, those two recent hard-earned wins against Normani Kordei and Julianne Hough such rare occasions for a fighter too used to long losing streaks.

"I ain't messing around either," Camila says with a nod and grin of her own. "Mayberry's got the backing of the Dollhouse, but I've got all my friends, family, and chicas supporting me tonight. I'll make her look like a joke in there, and then maybe I’ll come for her friend Avril again!"

Bold words for a fighter with one hell of a lopsided loss-win record, but Camila looks as determined as she is serious, later squaring off against the Dollhouse brunette and giving Lauren her meanest stare. Lauren merely staring back, not used to this level of pressure from an opponent, but eager to get into the ring and prove her own worth.

Fight night rolls around hours later, and Lauren Mayberry strides out onto stage in her usual champagne pink sports bra and black short tights, dirty blonde hair in a high ponytail, both arms high in the air for the audience before skipping down the ramp towards the ring followed by the Dollhouse team. She's got every advantage going for her in this contest except the two inches in height, but that doesn't seem to bother her, as the Doll confidently climbs up the second turnbuckle to draw another cheer from the many CHVRCHES fans in the crowd tonight. Up next, Camila Cabello dances into the arena to the sound of her own music track, grinning wide as the fans in attendance show off how well they know the lyrics to Senorita by singing along with the beat. The Latina songstress is wearing a silver bikini top and black boxing trunks, showing off her curves as she poses with red gloves held high to the crowd.

Referee calls this next match to order, as both women get into their fight stances at opposite corners of the ring. There's the sound of the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Mayberry shows off speed and determination, coming in hot and immediately firing away at Camila's arms, intending to hound her head into oblivion. Needless to say, Cabello looks a little surprised by the youngster's determination and aggression, all those tapes of Lauren's past fights kinda useless if the Doll doesn't intend on sticking to her own guns. Mayberry hits several fists off the face and forehead, drawing early grunts and throwing Camila back with each stinging left-right combo landed. For now, Cabello has no answer, getting walked about the ring and barely fighting back, and when she does, merely eating more punishment to her pretty face, as Mayberry doesn't let up the pressure one bit! Sound of the bell and the Dollhouse corner is off to a great start, with Mayberry's training and drive giving her a wide round to firmly place her footing upon.

ROUND 2:
Mayberry's going for another push here, right out of the gate barreling in and shoving her fists into Camila's arms and body all over. Cabello, however, is a little more prepared, punishing the Scottish girl back with the odd fist into her lips and side-swiped across her chin, drawing painful gasps as Lauren doesn't expect her opponent to fight back in the face of her own aggression. But fight back Cabello does, sacrificing some of her own defenses to land her attacks, ignoring another stiff blast to the side of her stomach in order to rock a right hand of her own into the side of Mayberry's head, staggering the Doll for the first time in this fight. Lauren's corner shouting at her to regroup from behind, and hold onto to her faculties, but it's easier said than done of course, with Lauren forced to play catch up for the remainder of this second round. Bell rings and Cabello takes it by a closer margin, though not by much!

ROUND 3:
Lauren's answer is to pick up the pace even more, wading in fast with her head down and both arms raised up, shooting in more lefts and rights to try and push Cabello backwards and overwhelm her defenses. At first, it succeeds, with Camila letting out a yelp of surprise as she takes a stiff left off the top of her eye, Mayberry then dipping low and to one side and slamming another hook into her body from the side. But Cabello soon levels the playing field, scaring the Scottish singer off with a wild swing towards the head, almost taking it off her neck, before a cross-combo is sent crashing into the middle of Mayberry's arms to send her packing properly. Those last few punches aren't landing clean per say, but they do more than enough to shock and awe the Doll, sending her retreating backwards as though wary of getting knocked off her feet by Camila's audacity. Last minute here and Mayberry resorts to jabbing and pawing at Camila's faculties from afar, still narrowly clinching a close round for herself, though arguably coming out of it worse for wear.

ROUND 4:
Mayberry has always suffered from imposter syndrome in the RING, being not as prolific or hungry as some of her other counterparts on the Dollhouse roster. And once she gets spooked, she has a tendency of hanging back and letting her opponents dictate terms on her behalf. That happens here as well, with Cabello closing in on her space one lunge at a time, swinging at the Doll's head and then rushing inwards to pummel more shots into her body. No real answer from Lauren, who keeps falling back over and over again, grunting as she takes another stiff hand off the side of her head to toss her further backwards into the ropes. AND HERE COMES CABELLO, eagerly attempting to win this fight early! The Latina sensation racks another cross straight into the smaller gal's midsection, which spears Mayberry in half! Then, another swing up high sends the Dollhouse girl reeling! AND DOWN MAYBERRY GOES, going into a tailspin before hitting the canvas with a loud THUD!! Referee tries to give her space to recover but all Lauren does is groan and turn over onto her back, staring listlessly up into the stadium lights! That's it!! He hits the count of 10 and WAVES the rest of this fight OVER!

Official Decision: Camila Cabello defeats Lauren Mayberry via KO4!

AFTER:
Big impressive win for Camila tonight, ending the Dollhouse star’s night in only 4 rounds and Lauren’s corner looking morose as they step into the ring to check on their fallen fighter.
Cabello gets her arm raised by the ref and poses proudly in the center of the ring to the deafening sound of her many fans while Mayberry is being slowly helped to a sitting position near the ropes by her medical team.

It’s a sad image for the Scot singer and her team as she suffers her second knockout defeat in a row and is 0-2 for the year, putting the rest of the 35 year old boxing career into question. Hopefully she can bounce back for a better 2023.
As for Camila, the Cuban is having a great year with tonight’s win propelling her to a 3-1 record and if she keeps it up, we might just see Camila Cabello rising through the flyweight ranks next year! Before exiting the ring, the Empire Boxing star grabs a microphone but keeps it short and to the point:

“Tonight’s win was a message to the division…but also… a personal message to Avril Lavigne. I want a rematch, b*tch, and…” she pauses for dramatic effect. “I usually get what I want….”
The crowd certainly seems to agree with her, cheering wildly as a victorious Cabello drops the mic and proudly makes her way out of the arena.
