Mary: 37 YO, 5’8 (1.73 m), 72-55-0, 68 KO since 2007, Foxfire Boxing

Before: “You know me, I am always on the lookout for interesting new opponents,” a wickedly cheerly Winnie Winstead says at the refight presser. “Amy’s not only a former beauty pageant boxer (Miss Universe UK in 3013), but a model and one of those ‘TV personalities’. Not to mention she looks pretty hot in a bikini and just I love to knockout hot women in their bikinis. So welcome to the ‘Mary Elizabeth Winstead Experience’ Amy Willerton, it’s one you won’t soon forget.”

British fighting beauty Amy Willerton reacts calmly to Mary’s teasing comments: “How nice of you to research me, Ms, Winstead. I have looked you up to. Pity about your losing your title and then your comeback fight. I suspect you are just looking for some hapless jobber to get back in the win column. Sadly, that will not be me. True I am but 1-2 this year, but that has only motivated me to want to add to your losing streak and get me to a respectable 2-2 for the year. I can only say you will not soon forget me either.”

“You have confidence, Amy, and I always like that in an opponent. It makes breaking their spirit all the sweeter,” Mary replies with a glint in her eyes.

Amy got that glint too: “And breaking one of you arrogant Yanks is going to be sweet for me as well.”

“This is getting more interesting by the minute,” Mary purrs, “I am looking forward to it ever so much.”

“AS do I, Ms Winstead, as do I,” Amy purrs back.

The undercurrent of hostility between the two fighters does not go unnoticed by social media observers. This creates added excitement to the bout as there is nothing like a potential :grudge match” to attract a good many FCBA fans. The crowd is buzzing excitedly as the fighters enter the ring. Amy Willerton is bright yellow bikini with black gloves and boots (yellow laces), blonde hair pulled back in battle braid. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a blue-gray bikini with white gloves and boots (blue laces). Mary’s bobbed hair is loose but wetted down.

Both fighters looking serious and determined as the referee covers his instructions. There is a curt tap of the gloves and the fighters go to their corners. The bell rings…

R1: Mary moving with smooth confidence as she clips Amy to the chin with repeated fast strikes. Then Mary swats Amy to the jaw with successive lefts and rights. Amy trying to get some counters going, but her efforts are disrupted as Mary starts hooking Amy to the belly, Ay knocked back on her heels and then gets clouted hard to the sides of the head. Amy trying to fall back and throw up a defensive screeb of jabs. Mary has to bob and weave around Amy’s defenses, but manages to keep up the pressure against Amy’s body to the bell. Opening round to MEW wide.

R2: Mary again out with smooth confidence, but this time she gets rudely awakened by a fast moving Amy who smites HARD to the chin. Mary’s head is snapped back and Amy slams home right/lets to the jaw, Mary in retreat, but Amy is staying with her and now pumping in the hooks against Mary’s torso. Mary soon is hunched up and trying to discourage Amy with body hooks of her own Amy ignores Mary’s counters to maintain punching pressure on MEW, now adding heads shots to keep the brunette ducking. Round ends and Amy Willerton scores a wide win of the stanza.

R3: Mary now forces Amy to fight in close. Mary bodying up on the blonde will pumping in the body bangers. Amy pushed back by the initial punches, no fights back with body shots of her own. Very quickly they are toe to toe and eye to eye while bringing a steady stream of hard lefts and rights into breasts, bellies and ribs. Just hard, grinding action that goes on and on as the crowd roars which seems to stimulate the pair into still more punching. Finally the bell sounds and the fighters step back, bodies bruised and dripping sweat. Judges total the points and it is Mary Winstead who edges out Amy Willerton to win the round.

R4: Amy comes fast out of her corner as the round begins and stuffs fast hooks into Mary’s midsection. Mary bent forward and then Amy attacks her to the head with head twisting rights and lefts. Mary now stumbling back in confusion with her gloves up around her head. Amy firing in a blazing series of body hooks to sear Mary’s ribs and abs Mary just trying to open up some distance between herself and the rampaging Amy. Mary trying to break up the attack with jugg attack, but this only gets her own bra cups pounded by a vengeful Amy. Round finally ends ith Mary gasping for air and Amy looking very happy with her efforts this round. No surprise as Amy Willerton wins the round wide,

R5: Amy again out quickly and aggressively punching away at Mary, but Mary seems much more ready this time. Amy clouts Mary to the jaw and Mary gives it right back to Amy’s jaw. Amy goes for Mary’s chin and connects hard, but then it is Mary knocking Amy’s chin back. Brutal exchange of head shots continues until Mary’s legs start to tremble and she falls back slowly, Amy looks slow in pursuit but she is going after Mary to the body late. Mary responding with counters to Amy’s body, but Amy getting more in by the time the round ends. Amy thus able to pull out a close win of a very hard fought round that leaves both fighters looking shell shocked.

R6: Corner crews working firm to get Mary and Amy ready for the new round. Bell sounds and while both are moving slower than earlier in the fight, it is Mary who is moving with determination. Mary strikes with power against Amy’s chin and then goes after her to the belly with deep, ravaging hooks. Amy jackknifed forward at the waist and Mary then hammers home a barrage of chin buster uppercuts. AMY COMES CRASHING DOWN! Mary coolly steps back as Amy’s head comes down on Mary’s boot tops. Mary then trots to the neutral corner to watch as referee counts. Amy has sprawled on her face, but then revives and pushes herself sloly upwards just breaking the count at “NINE!”

May then waved back in by the referee. Amy trying to protect her face, but Mary just plows away with hooks to the belly. Amy propelled back into the ropes. She tries desperately to slide along the strands, but her high guard is falling apart. Mary able to sweep aside Amy’s gloves and smash rights and lefts into Amy’s unguarded face, Ringsiders are screaming at the referee to stop the massacre and FINALLY the official jumps in to cradle Amy to safety.

“It’s about time,” Mary is heard to mutter as she watches Amy being held up by the referee. Then Mary raises both arms in victory as her fans cheer.

THE WINNER MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD DEFEATS AMY WILLERTON TKO6!

After: Mary concerned about Amy goes over to check her out as she is being tended to onher stool. She and Amy touch foreheads as Mary gives her a hug.

“Good job, Willerton, you made this a FIGHT,” Mary heard to tell her

“But not enough of one to win,” Amy says ruefully.

“Well, you’re fighting Mary Winstead, that’s not all that easy to do,” Mary says cheerfully and then returns to her corner as the fans applaud this good sportswomanship.

So Mary Elizabeth Winstead breaks her two fight losing streak and in typical MEW Fashion. She took a licking in Round 4, but came back to take out her opponent 2 rounds later. Very encouraging win for Winnie that no doubt has raised her hopes for yet another run at the Lightweight Title. Amy Willerton showed punching power an spirit, though they weren’t enough to get her a win this time out. She slips to 1-3 for 2022, but there is hope she can still turn things around before the year ends.
