Nell Tiger Free vs Sadie Sink

Nell:

Sadie:

BEFORE:
“Sink your claws into me, huh?” Sadie says with a smirk from the press table earlier that evening. “Nice play on words, but I’m afraid you’ll need more than clever word play to knock me down.”

The recent signee to an even more recent stable, The Punching Queens, is looking confident in front of reporters, despite only having won one fight in her budding career. Perhaps it’s the success of the latest season of Stranger Things and the fact that she’s recently come off a good win over Danielle Rose Russell that are giving her the confidence to hang and bang with Nell Tiger Free, herself coming off a milestone win over IBB’s Cree Cicchino.

“That can be arranged,” Nell responds from across the table, looking cocky in her own English way, before continuing. “Look, we may have both lost a fight to Millie, but the difference is Sadie’s still highly inexperienced in the ring. We may have a common enemy, but that’s not going to stop me from knocking her lights out.”

Ladies square off on stage, and both young fighters have their chins upturned and hands planted on their hips, giving each other a death glare just inches apart. Nell may be just two inches taller, but Sadie’s clearly been bulking up, looking like she’s spent a lot of time in the gym ever since being signed by her new stable.

Hours later, Nell and Sadie are gearing up for ten rounds of Flyweight action, still glaring at each other from across the ring. Nell's in an emerald green bikini top and blue denim shorts, pounding red gloves together as the announcer calls her name. In the other corner, Sadie's gone for a bright yellow bikini and short white tights, raising black gloves to acknowledge the cheers of the crowd.

There's the wave of the referee's hand and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Nell’s as sharp as a tool early on, driving jabs into Sadie's face from a distance and not giving the redhead any opportunity to fight back. Sadie is throwing hands of her own but they aren't landing as often, hitting Tiger Free to the arms or missing entirely, before Nell drives a fist right back into her nostrils. It's the fight-experience disparity in action right there, as Nell is successfully blocking shots or avoiding them with a weave of her head, before punting a left-right combo back into Sadie’s face to shock her to try and try again. Sadie grows desperate by the final minute, wildly swinging away and getting in some lucky licks off the Brit’s body and arms, but still has to concede the wide round at the bell.

ROUND 2:
Sadie’s staying back this time, blocking more of Nell’s incoming fire. The young redhead has learnt a lot and improved loads more since her debut months ago, checking some of Nell’s early combos with a firm guard and then socking Nell back with a swift right hand over the arms and into her face. Nell, taking a taste of her own medicine, gets punted to her nose down the line and is forced to hold back in turn. The two youngsters circle and slap leather at each other from a distance, mutual grunts exchanged, but especially when Sadie dips low to bash the body with outta-nowhere hooks. Nell gets caught by another to her torso, looking shocked each time and forced to cover up low, only to take repeated blasts to her face. End of the round and Sadie’s got this boxing thing in the bag, her future looking bright indeed.

ROUND 3:
Nell responds with even more aggression, using hit-and-run tactics to scoot in and bash combinations to the arms, successfully tagging Sadie off the top of her forehead and into the body. Wind gets pounded out of her system, Sadie grimacing as she takes another left-right to the sternum, then swinging away at Nell’s head to try and snag her backwards. But Nell’s already outta there, scooting away and looking victorious. This cycle repeats itself, with Nell’s speed and ferocity slowly sapping Sadie of her energy and resolve. But it’s only when Sadie gets almost trapped against the ropes does a light switch come on within her, dipping her head low and then bashing away at Nell’s flanks, paying the British girl back almost blow-for-blow in the span of just a minute. Tiger Free has no choice but to back away, taking a hit to the ribs here and then another hook across the face there, to only come out of the third with a razor thin margin.

ROUND 4:
Sadie still looks out of her depth, playing it cautious in the face of a more experienced opponent. Nell slowly stalks inwards, trying her hand at some aggression, early shots landed to Sadie’s mouth and nose to drive her further packing. But Sink makes up for it in quality instead of quantity, surprising Nell with sudden punches comin’ in from odd angles, and Nell gets dazed when one of those shots grazes her chin from the side, then another cross catches her straight to the sternum to stop her in her tracks. On aggregate, Nell still wins points for herself with her constant pressure and punches landed, though the Vixen is looking slightly more winded by the relentless posturing.

ROUND 5:
Sadie’s turn to shine, suddenly meeting Nell in the center and surprising her with a big overhand up high, almost catching Nell on her chin if not for the quick-thinking raise of her arm to intercept. Girls BRAWL in the middle of the ring, exchanging heavy slams off the body and then going up high again to try and take the other girl’s head off. Sadie ultimately comes out on top, using her power to catch Nell on the cheek with a wayward hook, and then deftly ducking under a return one from the British Vixen. Nell goes stumbling to the side, her jaw working in shock, and having to fend off more lunges from Sink, who drives her backwards towards the ropes! Crowd is up on their feet, roaring at the newcomer’s chances of actually winning this fight, as Sink sinks more gloves into Nell’s waistline to keep her pinned and winded on the ropes, but the bell rings soon after, saving Nell from a potential knockdown! Close round to Sadie, who may have suffered some punishment of her own back there, but ultimately comes out on top!

ROUND 6:
Nell looks knackered in the first minute, slow and sluggish movements as she struggles to avoid some early advances from Sink, who has been surely reinvigorated given her stellar performance in the recent rounds. Sink’s turn to hound the British fighter about the ring, constantly firing punches into her arms and body and driving her backwards. Nell still has a ways to go in the defensive, counterattack department, and is having trouble blocking or checking those punches as they sail in, especially when there’s an overwhelming number of them. Sink catches her in the face with a drive jab-cross combo, which turns her head to the side and sends her stumbling backwards. This might be it! Sink BARRELING in, chopping more leather to her stomach, then slamming a big hook to the side of the head! AND THERE TIGER FREE GOES, stumbling over herself before FALLING down to her knees by the ropes! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Miss Sadie Sink!

And the crowd is absolutely wild, cheering the Stranger Things starlet on and giving her hearty congratulations on her waltz back to the neutral corner! Sink has a big smile on her face as the referee starts the count, giving Nell Tiger Free a full opportunity to recover to her feet. Nell, however, looks utterly smashed, hanging her head on all fours and looking unsteady. She tries to push herself up till the very last second, but is unable to make it past her knees! Finally, the referee hits the count of 10 and WAVES the rest of this fight off! It’s OVER!

Official Decision: Sadie Sink defeats Nell Tiger Free via KO6!

AFTER:
HUGE win for Sadie Sink, who struggled earlier in her career but seems to be looking at an upward trend now that she’s got the backing of a firm stable behind her.

“All kudos to Nell - she gave me hell. But we all know who’s the best, don’t we?!” Sadie shouts to the fans, who respond with another roar of approval. “I hope to fight her again in the ring one day. I’m sure I’ll kick her ass again, but I don’t back down from a challenge. And that goes the same for Millie Bobby Brown, by the way - all you British girls can kiss my ass!”

Nell Tiger Free looks incensed for once in the post-fight, getting helped back to her stool and checked over the medics only to narrow her brows at Sink’s comments. For a moment, Nell tries to get off her stool, wanting to storm over to confront the American redhead for her insolence, but the VIX team are holding her back by the shoulders, telling her to rest and save her energies for their next fight.

“I underestimated her, I’m woman enough to admit that,” Nell tells reporters later on. “But I’m not going to do so the next time we face off.”
