BEFORE: Miley Cyrus scored some quality wins this season before Vanessa Hudgens stopped her charge at potential silverware however the Tennessee native is back with a major plan to spoil Nina Dobrev's stroll into the Hall of Fame. The Canadian actress enjoyed a better season based on the strenght of schedule but Cyrus thinks she hasn't recovered from the Kira Kosarin defeat two months ago and is there for the taking. Some pundits want to remind the plucky singer that she fell into this trap with Minka Kelly last fall already but Miley doesn't want to hear those excuses: "I'm still the best puncher of them all... Minka got lucky once and that was it. Nina is just overrated at this point. No wonder she got replaced by Demi Lovato years ago. How on Earth is she heading to the Hall of Fame? Must be some fake Bulgarian records! Never trust anyone born in Sofia!"
Miley Cyrus wears a crimson red crop top, micro jeans shorts & silver gloves. Long dyed blonde hair tied in a high ponytail. Nina Dobrev wears a leopard print crop top, black hip-huggers & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.
Round 1:
Miley's flamboyant style sells (virtual) newspapers but it's a different game in the ring where Nina is all over the naughty singer gashing her with numerous hooks during a slugging exchange in the center of the ring. Cyrus refuses to back off despite getting clearly outworked in the process which makes some fans wonder if she's the next loose cannon of FCBA. Old joke! Even Nina is surprised but then again she doesn't quite hurt the American in convincing fashion here. Miley stops most of the brunette's shots with her face but somehow ends up laughing out loud at the bell over Dobrev's alleged "creampuff power". Oh, come on! Don't want to pull the lioness' tail or what?
Round 2:
More aggressive action from Miley who clobbers the actress across the nose and takes it from there working the head-hunting pounce that Dobrev carried with much success in the opening round. Similar story here? Very much so as Miley cuts Nina under the left eye and triggers a hectic back & forth tussle in the center of the ring. It's not like Demi Lovato is in da house but Nina appears to lose her focus and gets pounded back to the ropes where she keeps leaking these punches from close range. Miley duly cleans out shop and digs her elbow into the brunette's rack before drilling her midsection for a good measure. Woof. Nina looks rattled at the bell and argues with coach Eva Mendes during the interval.
Rounds 3 & 4:
Nina picks up the jabbing steam and knocks more leather into Miley's face taking full advantage of the singer's lack of high guard. Wild scenes in the ring as the defense goes AWOL and two hellcats trade vicious punches like it's a proper grudge fight. This is a shocking development all the way through but there's finally some visible damage on Miley's face when she takes a brutal combo on the nose and wobbles into a chin-checking double moments later. She slides back to the ropes nursing a small gash across the nasal ridge while Nina lets her have it... she plugs more head shots to bury the Tennessee native behind a desperate earmuff and continues her slugging run in the fourth when she flat out outboxes Cyrus in the flat and lands more heavy leather into her face. Ugh! Miley gets to live & die by the slugging ways but she's clearly hurt after another three minutes of Dobrev just thumping her back & forth. It was fun in the opening round but it's downright suicidal in the fourth. Ouch. Miley asks Liz Hurley what the Plan B is and it's "don't get your face bashed in like that". Double ouch.
Rounds 5 & 6:
Miley digs deep to punish the brunette's midsection for a change and rallies around to pick up more good hits alas Nina fends off the brief comeback and clobbers a response into the blonde's jugs. Miley yells out in anger over that switch and blows up an uppercut drive to make Dobrev feel all of that and then some. A stray elbow wobbles the Bulgarian Badass back to the ropes but she goes for the high heater.... and misses! But Miley doesn't! A huge right hook catches Nina on the ear and... and... DROPS HER FOR THE COUNT!!! Huge moment for the Tennessee fans as the singer turns the tables on the hitherto dominant opponent. Nina shakes off the daze but still looks iffy even after she beats the count at six. And Miley wants to finish her off!!! She goes for the upstairs blast only to find Nina clinching and muscling her back to the post. Oh, really? Dirty clinch comes to the fore and has Nina taking lumps at the naughty blonde to the point it's anyone's fight despite the recent knockdown. Maybe it was only a single punch as the see-saw drill continues in the sixth where Miley gets off hot but cools down the stretch when she can only land single shots into the brunette's face. Nina covers her off and then works it to the body crippling the blonde with every visible mark on her abs. Cyrus is gasping for air come the final minute and doesn't display much power either while Dobrev catches a second wind and knocks her back to the turnbuckle where she tears it up to raise the grudge factor until the bell halts her charge.
Round 7:
Miley had it but then she completely loses it when Nina whacks her across the nose and runs up the old head-hunting trick. The sheer ammount of punches crashing into the singer's face finally renders her numb as she spins into a wicked uppercut on the jaw that bawls her eyes back to the orbit and she's almost semi-conscious when heading face-down to the canvas!!! Boom! Nina secures the desired outcome and calls for the stretcher with Cyrus lying motionless and even the ref knows it's all over. KO7 Nina Dobrev in ultra-destructive fashion!!!
AFTER: A quick word with your winner post-fight: "This lousy bytch had it coming but the details are between me & her. It's a shame I didn't break her jaw but she still ended up sleeping on the canvas so I'm happy with my performance (...) The knockdown was nothing, she landed one good combo on time.... nothing serious (....) I don't have any plans for next month but I'll figure something out. I'm so close to #100 I almost have to, right?" (laughs).
