Results: Lookout Writing: Archer
Katrina: 34 YO, 5’9 (1.75 m) 3-9-0, 3 KO since 2013, Celebrity Wrestling Franchise
Alexandra: 36 YO,, 5’7 (1.70 m), 21-20-1,20 KO since 2014, Foxfire Boxing Before: Alex D very confident going into this fight. She tells the press at the pre-fight: “Poor Katrina has been here since 2013 and what does she have to show for it. 2 wins out of 11 fights? She she’s got a couple inches on me, but, I’ve won 21 of my 42 fights including 2 in a row this year. What’s Katrina done this year? Beat a has-been ‘reality TV star’ named Audrina Patridge. She’s got me scared all right.”
Katrina Bowden not at all pleased at being mocked by the Foxfire veteran lightweight: “I will admit my career has not gone anywhere near as well as I had hoped, but now that I am with the CWF, I am turning everything around. This fight is very important to me. Audrina was just to knock the rust off because I have not had many fights. Now I am ready. Alexandra thinks she is hot stuff—well, she’s going to a heap of ‘hot stuff’ when I get through with her.”
Alexandra bursts out laughing: “At least you are a feisty sort of loser. I will enjoy punching you back to reality.”
“We need to stop talking and get to the fighting,” Katrina says in growling voice.
The bad mood from the presser is still present in the ring as Ale and Kat hip bump and jostle each other. Katrina is in white one piece swimsuit with black gloves and boots (white laces). Her blonde hair is I a braid down her back. Alexandra in blue one piece with white FOXFIRE BOXING across the chest. White gloves and boots with blue laces. Alex’s dark hair in a braid down her back. The referee finally gets the ladies under control sufficiently to complete his instructions. There is a sharp tap of the gloves and then they go off to their corners. The bell rings….
R1: Alexandra moves comfortably as a tense Katrina seems willing to let her come to her at center ring. Alex starts with some solid shots to the head and then hooks to the body. Kat under pressure, trying to move out of danger and get in some decent counters. Then Alexandra picks up her pace as she snaps quick ones off Katrina’s chin and then strong one to the jaw. Katrina retreating, mitts up around her head to block further incoming, Alex now digging hooks into Katrina abs and rib cage, Katrina manging some quick jabbing, but these not bothering Alex. Alex keeps up the body pressure until the bell. Katrina’s body ringing with the impacts of Alexandra’s leather and she slow getting to her corner.
Alexandrs Daddario wins the round easily.
R2: Katrina opens the new round with a charge at Alexandra. Nice feint to the belly ith her left, while cracking a solid right off Alexandra’s jaw. Katrina quickly trying to follow up wirh more head shots, but then Alex strikes back with head shots of her own. Katrina knocked back on her heels, but smashes home a right uppercut that stalls Alex’s advance Moment’s pause as the two circle and regroup. Then they plunge forward and drive their gloves fists into each other’s midsection. Katrina getting enough extra on those belly and rib hooks to force Alexadra to give ground, Alex stubbornly resisting Katrina’s offensive, but Katrina punching hard as the round end,
It is a close round, but Katrina Boden gets the win.
R3: Alexandra glaring across the ring at Katrina during the break. She comes hurrying out of her corner as the bell sounds for the new round. Katrina can see the express train bearing down on her, but Alex’s punches explode against the sides of her head, Katrina trying to keep her mitts up around her head, but Alex moving goes to the belly with deep, plowing hooks that jackknife Katrina forward.. Alex then slips right in behind Katrina’s loosened high guard and smashes her hard to the chin, Kristina trembles and Alex now drives a right between Kristina’s loosened gloves to catch her on the poit of the chin Kat stiffens and then sags to her knees before falling over on her side. Alex raises her mitts in victory as she heads for the neutral corner. However as the referee counts, Katrina is pulling herself together and rising to break the count at “EIGHT!” Alexandra looks annoyed and comes back at Katrina as soon the ref waves her in, but Katrina is all face-in-gloves defensive. Alexandra unable to do more than punch Katrina to the shoulders and sides, Katrina finishes round but that knockdown assured Aleandra a wide win.
R4: Alexandra looks to finish this round. She comes at Katrina firing at head and body, trying to get her to make a mistake. Katrina staying cool under fire. She’s getting hit, but blocking and blunting the realty dangerous punches, Alexandra seems to be growing frustrated and presses to, trying to break through Katrina’s high guard. Katrina not giving way and Alex ups her efforts. It is then that Katrina suddenly sidesteps and Alex lurches forward off-balance. KA-BOOM big right hand from Katrina Bowden catches Alexandra in the temple AND DOWN GOES ALEX D! Alexandra sprawling on her face, arms at her sides.Katrina looks down in delight and then skips off to the neutral corner. Alex stirring using herself up with a shocked look on her face and then she just manages to get up to beat the count at “NINE!” Action resumes but Alex adopts the same tight defense that Katrina was using in the previous round. Katrina keeps Alex ducking by going after her to the sides of the head. Bell sounds and it is shell shocked, ribbery legged Alex D who totters back to er corner.
With the knockdown, Katrina Bowden was able to steal a round from Alexn
R5: Foxfire corner working urgently on Alexandra who sits slumped on her stool. Foxfire Lightweight trainer Rachel Nichols looking concerned, but Alex can be heard insisting: “I am not quitting on my stool.” Indeed she comes out of her corner punching her gloves together and trying to look determined, but then Katrina attacks. Katrina going to the body with a volley of body punches that ravage Alexandra from belly to breasts over and over. Alex being pushed back towards the ropes, then Katrina strikes with a big right to the jaw. Alexandra spins around, hits the ropes and then sags to her knees. Katrina goes immediately to the neutral corner. Alexandra using the ropes to pull herself up and again just barely beats the count at “NINE!” Once again referee allows fight to resume (as some ringsiders shout in protest). Katrina moves in and smashes her way through Alexandra’s upper guard, Alex sliding along the ropes, unable to get her mitts up to protect her head which is getting banged from side to side in an alarming fashion. AT LAST THE REFEREE JUMPS IN!. Officials cradles Alexandra in her arms and moves her to safety.
Katrina raises her arms in excitement as she realizes she has won!
THE WINNER: KATRINA BOWDEN DEFEATS ALEXANDRA DADDARIO KO5!
After: “I knew she was underestimating me,” Katrina tells reporters with a satisfied smile. “I punched lights out and I gt to say I enjoyed it very much. I hope this causes people to realize I am here in the Lightweight Division and I am real! Bring on my next opponent (whoever it is) and I’ll mow them down too!”
Not much heard from Foxfire Boxing or Alexandra Daddario. Sources tell Archer News’ Skip Tracey: “Alex never saw this coming and neither did we. We don’t like to be caught napping and they think that’s part of what happen, The other part that Katrina Bowden may have finally found herself as a boxer, She is dangerous now.”
If Foxfire Boxing now thinks Katrina Bowden is “dangerous” it must be a real ego boost for a fighter who has boxing in obscurity for some time. This might even be a candidate for Upset of the Year, but caution tells be wary. Was this just a case of a overconfident opponent and/or luck? Or is Katrina Bowden now for real. Only time will, but there is good reason for her to happy after this win. As for Alexandra, it is never good to be on the wrong side of an upset. Such a lost is bound to shake a fighter’s confidence and we’ll have to see how she does in future fights, |
