Alexis Ren vs Kelsey Merritt

Alexis:

Kelsey:

BEFORE:
“Been itching for this showdown for a while,” Ren says by the apron earlier. “This Merritt girl’s been billed as the next best thing since fried rice. Pffft. She just got SADDLED by Swift, TWICE in a row. My only regret is not making this a saddle match as well. Would have loved to dig my heels into her hide.”

Merritt equally dismissive, looking toned in her orange bikini and her hair bundled up into a neat bun up top. “Don’t know what Ren is on about - it’s not as though she came up on top with Swift either, did she? This is my comeback fight, and I plan on making one hell of a statement by knocking Ren off her pedestal.”

Models are equal in terms of height and built, coming face-to-face in the ring to the mutual cheers and hoots of the crowd. Ren expressionless, for once, which could either mean she doesn’t give a sh*t about you, or she REALLY doesn’t give a sh*t about you. Merritt, still trying to be cordial, offers a hand at the referee’s suggestion, which Ren obviously doesn’t reciprocate.

Girls lined up in their corners, bouncing up and down, fists raised. Referee gets the nod to start, and with the sound of the bell, HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
A good parallel of styles as both fighters bounce in and begin to trade leather. Ren obviously the more eager of the pair, testing Kelsey’s reactionary speed and agility by constantly targeting her head. Merritt more than game, punting back with practiced left-right-left combos, also trying to see what the blonde is made of. Ren not messing around this early, however, tossing low hooks and overhands into the mix, stunning Merritt in the second minute with a right punch between the eyes to send her reeling. Kelsey looks a little shocked by her counterpart’s power, with both girls of similar build and height. She hasn’t prepared for this, and begins to retreat from the Vixen’s push, allowing Ren to hammer her with shots all the way to the bell. Wide round to the Vixen, but looks hella smug on her way back to the corner.

ROUND 2:
Kelsey’s coming into her own being, slowly bouncing faster and faster to avoid Ren’s flurries. Merritt hits back with counter-punching, her fast jabs landing on Ren’s face and chest, another swing to the ribs later on giving Alexis pause. Ren realizing that her foe has a lot more fight in her than before, firing another combo to the arms then acting surprised when Kelsey stuffs another right hand into her mouth. Girls get back into a defensive dance, Ren better protecting her face now that she knows Merritt’s speed. Kelsey took some damage during this round, for sure, but she’s the one smiling at the bell, after having revealed what she’s capable of.

ROUND 3:
Well, two can play at this game. Ren ramps right up to match her speed, drilling a side hook into Kelsey’s nose during an early exchange. Kelsey looks shocked, her eyes wide and mouth hanging open to the side, but then quickly covers up as Ren hammers more and more blows into her guard. Counter-punching the counter-punching is not something every girl can do, but both models seem to be trying to take the attack and dish it right back, Ren gritting her teeth as she takes another bang to the temple, ROARS right back with a swing across the face, again sending Merritt packing. Sound of the bell and both women look banged up and breathing hard, though by our estimates, it’s the blonde Vixen who’s proven she can brawl. Ren takes it wide to pull ahead.

ROUND 4:
Kelsey has to reevaluate her strategy, now moving fast but keeping her distance instead. She protects her face with a locked guard, and only responds when she sees an opening in Ren’s defenses. Alexis is still mowing inwards, flurry after flurry to the arms and body, trying to break her opponent’s spirit. But she hasn’t got the memo, as Kelsey has no intentions of going down so soon. Kelsey jabs back, sticking that left hand into Ren’s face whenever she can, then skirting backwards to avoid another barrage of wild swings in her direction. Girls get too close for comfort in the last minute of the round, suddenly coming alive with gloves slammed into the side of the head, packed into the belly, then clinching up to save their breaths. Close round to Kelsey overall, though she looks a little gassed as well.

ROUND 5:
Well, apparently not! Ren tries another rush in the first minute, bobbing and weaving at first to avoid Merritt’s flurries sent her way. But she gets careless and ducks left instead of right, gets CAUGHT by a big upwards swing from the Odds & Ends starlet, Merritt catching the Vixen clean on the chin and stacking her up!! OUCH!! HERE COMES MERRITT, looking for payback, chugging away at Ren’s tummy before hounding her backwards with more strikes! Ren’s forced to scram and cover, wincing as she takes the medicine down her throat! Merritt’s last push, however, quickly slows, and the two models end up at opposite ends of the ring, chests heaving, arms up, ready for the other girl to strike first! Bell rings and Merritt might have evened the score here!

ROUND 6:
But that last push has taken its toll on the latest Victoria’s Secret Angel! She’s slower out of her gate, allowing Ren to conquer lost ground with a hearty push inwards. Ren hammering her guard with straight hands, pushing her about the ring and dangerously close to the ropes. Kelsey’s trying to hang on but wincing each time she takes a punch to her forehead or shoulder, Ren not giving two hoots about where her punches land, as long as they do. The Vixen has to take pause, however, when Kelsey counters expertly in the middle minute, slipping her head to the side to avoid an overhand, then shoving a fist of her own into the blonde’s lips. Ladies get into a head-to-head brawl in the center, fists banging away at the waistline, buckling toned bodies before trying to lift each other’s heads upwards with uppercuts. Ren gets the upper hand, but just barely, shoving a late fist across the chin to send Kelsey reeling. Thankfully, she catches the top rope just in time, saving herself from a first knockdown of the evening! Ren with a close round for herself, but something tells us the Vixen would have preferred this fight to be long over!

ROUND 7:
Kelsey’s still putting up a brave front - having gone toe-to-toe with Taylor Swift and that trial by fire would certainly make a more formidable woman after. She meets Ren in the center for a final push, sticking gloves into the blonde’s tummy before landing a ringing shot to her ear. But Ren absorbs the blows like a champ, her arms low and blocking one moment, the next up and taking the force of the attack with a grunt. Vixen cashing in her chips, swiping a right hand across the brunette model’s face with a shocked gasp, before LIFTING Merritt’s head with a left uppercut that simply CUT THROUGH THE NOISE! Merritt looks dazed!! She’s glassy-eyed, lips parted as she stumbles to the side, trying to defend herself. Ren steps in and WAILS away at her, knocking her arms out of the way before POWERING a final cross hand between the eyes, which sends Kelsey CRASHING onto her back by the ropes! It’s the first KNOCKDOWN of this fight, with the Vixen prancing up and down by her fallen adversary! Could this be it?!

Merritt is barely moving, her eyes squeezed shut as she reaches about aimlessly with her hands. She’s trying to get herself off her back, but the ringing pain isn’t helping! Referee’s shouting numbers down from above, but we don’t think the model is registering the danger here. Ren’s smirking from the neutral corner, arms draped over the top turnbuckle, daring her foe to get back up… but it’s no use! Merritt still spreadeagled and KO’ed cold when the referee hits the end of the 10-count. He waves his arms in the air and declares this fight over!

Official Decision: Alexis Ren defeats Kelsey Merritt via KO7!

AFTER:
“Always knew she was more creampuff than fighter,” Ren snarks to reporters in the post-fight. “She tried to brawl with me, and ended up getting laid out on her back. That’s what happens, b*tch!”

Merritt still looks a little shaken as she’s brought back around by smelling salts, then helped to her corner to recuperate. Ren not paying her any mind, dismissing her with a whip of blonde hair and upturned nose.

We don't know what's worst! Getting humiliated by Ren in a post-fight thrashing, or not! For now, Kelsey’s left to lick her wounds, and plan her comeback!
