BEFORE:
“Dove the creampuff queen gave literally EVERYONE except me a title shot. Once a creampuff always a creampuff!” Avril’s nostrils practically flare at the sheer mention of the former Flyweight champion’s name, looking incensed from her seat at the press table. She continues: “She was obviously scared shitless for her belt because I kicked her ass in 2018. Now that she lost it to Brec Bassinger,” Avril snorts in derision. “of all people, she’s suddenly ready to fight me? pffft. I'm going to punch her fake face off and kick her scrawny ass in there tonight. And then someone better give me a title shot!”

Dove Cameron might still be reeling internally from dropping the title belt back in November to Brec Bassinger, another budding rival in her own right, but externally, the HISC starlet is looking confident tonight as she sits at the other side of the table, all smiles and with no shortage of eye-rolls directed at Lavigne. She responds with equal scorn after Avril is done with her own tirade:

"4 years later and it seems like Av's still devouring ALL the cupcakes she can get her hands on. But now she's not only fat she's also old and washed up, both in the ring and and behind the mic…I’ve seen her perform live….It’s dreadful stuff. I've already put one Doll on the mat this year, and Roberts is the best Flyweight they’ve got. Avril's half as intelligent and half as fast as her, so you can imagine how things will go for her tonight. This is not 2018 anymore b*tch, but don't you worry...I’ve got some cupcakes for you as a consolation prize after I knock your fatass out."

Fighting words right there, and none more apparently so when Avril literally screams back, and tries to charge Dove down from across the room, thankfully getting held back by an army of ring officials before she can cross the divide. The Dollhouse Queen is still spitting insults as she’s escorted back to the backstage area, the officials (wisely) thinking it’ll be suicide to let these two meet in the center of the stage for a pre-fight photoshoot.

Perhaps it was Dove’s comment about Emma Roberts being a better fighter than her, or perhaps it was the insinuation about her love for sweets. Who knows, really? Cameron comes into this fight as the clear favorite – the recent former champion defeated Vanessa Hudgens to win the title and then successfully defended it 4 times against the very top of the division. Just because she dropped the belt recently doesn’t mean she ain’t championship caliber any longer. But the same, unfortunately, can’t be said of Miss Lavigne yet, who’s been offered the Flyweight title shot twice now since her return to the ring with the Dollhouse in 2017, but has failed to clinch the gold just yet.

Of course, don’t let the Queen hear you counting her losses. Her eyes are narrowed and fixed on Cameron from across the ring hours later, daring the youngster to bring the fight to her, if she can. Should Dove be worried? Both girls are about the same height and build, and Avril did manage to KO the Consortium starlet back in 2018, when she was first starting out in her own career.

Lavigne’s in her usual black-pink sports bra, short tights and gloves, shoulder-length blonde hair hanging loose and getting into her fighting stance as she awaits the opening bell. In the other corner, Dove Cameron has opted for an amber sports bra and long white tights, complete with white gloves, her dark hair in a tight ponytail. The former champion has the backing of the crowd tonight, who give her an encouraging roar as she bounces up and down in her corner, locking eyes with Lavigne from across the ring. And we’re ready to go! The referee calls for the bell!

HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Avril seems like she wants to finish this fight fast and strong, having already defeated the ex-champion once before, and done so within six rounds. The Doll makes aggressive moves early on, wading in fast and trying to overpower Dove with flurries followed by a swing to the head or straight hand to the chin. Cameron not biting, however, having improved by leaps and bounds ever since joining the Consortium as a star member, and then going on to win the title for her younger self. The brunette fighter is moving equally fast and dodging and blocking, negating most of Avril’s ammunition, before pounding on the Doll’s face with return spikes, left and right hands hitting the nose and beating Lavigne at her own game. Not a good look for the would-be challenger, with Avril left grunting and shouting in frustrated pain, as her attacks barely land, and Dove is the one punting her head back at painful angles. Bell rings for the first round and it’s not the outcome the Dollhouse corner wanted! Wide round to Cameron!

ROUND 2:
This is a must-win fight for Avril Lavigne if she wants to prove that she really, REALLY can be the champion one day. The road to the Flyweight title is through this former adversary and former champion, and Avril continues to push inwards despite her disaster of a first round. This time, however, she’s mixing up her jab combos both high and low, not always hitting the face but catching Dove on the tummy and chest due to her unpredictable patterns. Dove’s eating leather but hanging in there, and moving even faster. She needs to circumvent Avril’s aggression and get her own fists into Avril’s space, and she succeeds at the last minute, blocking another flurry from the Doll before stuffing a right hand clean into her lips! Avril lets out a gurgle, her head thrown to the side and back, and begins swinging at Dove again on instinct, though she’s just too slow! Dove ducks under the return hook, shoves another clean across her chin to send the Doll reeling! What started as Avril’s round has quickly turned on its hinges, with Cameron picking her off from afar to edge out the round close!

ROUND 3:
But Avril fights back! The Doll’s has enough of this bullshit, and rushes in to brawl with Cameron once and for all! Dove lets out a shout of surprise as her early strikes to the head are blocked or taken flat on the arms, with Avril still bull-rushing her way in and stunning the brunette back with a right cross between the eyes! Cameron suddenly on the retreat, trying to cover up as more blows land with a vengeance! Lavigne bashes away at the former champ’s arms, tossing her to the side with a stumble, before running after her and wailing upon her frame some more! Cameron has to cover up her head if she doesn’t want to get KO’ed on the spot, with Avril dipping low to help herself to several scoops of the younger girl’s toned tummy instead… Lavigne is clearly on the rampage, and wants to prove that she still belongs in the big leagues, keeping up the pressure until the final bell in the final minute. She’s won a great round to turn the tides here, and only having suffered minor wounds in return, Dove having stood her ground at several points in an attempt to stop the bleeding, to no avail.

ROUND 4:
Dove not looking as confident any longer as she rises from her stool - the brunette hanging back and protecting her throbbing chin at all costs, skirting the ropes and again allowing Avril to dictate the pace of the first minute. Fine by Avril, who stalks the younger fighter back and pummels her to the body and arms repeatedly, once or twice pressing her back into the ropes before leaping in to try and go ape-sh*t on her ass. But Cameron quickly slips out of the way, banking on her own youthful stamina to win the race in the end. She scores several thumps off Avril’s side on her inward charge, ducking under several big hooks before paying the Doll back with a clean shot to the side of her face. Avril’s growling, adrenaline coursing through her body too much to see much reason, and the two women end up in a tit-for-tat brawl in the center of the ring, slapping leather into the face before taking turns chugging fists into each other’s pale stomachs. Close round in the end for Lavigne, who didn’t let up on the action one bit, but the damage might have taken its toll on the older girl, with Queen Lavigne looking worse for wear after that last exchange, seen wincing and hugging her body on her way back to her corner.

ROUND 5:
Dove capitalizes, storming in and peppering Avril with plenty of jab combos. The former champion is quicker and more agile on her feet, and is clearly trying to overwhelm her older counterpart before the second half of this fight commences. Avril’s holding her own sauce, however, blocking and breathing hard, intercepting another one-two combo to the arms before bashing a cross of her own into the middle of Dove’s face, hoping to stun her. It doesn’t work, with Cameron merely shaking the pain off and charging in once more, shooting an underhand to the body that folds Avril over with a grunt, before Dove ROCKS her to the side of her head with a follow-up hook!! COULD THIS BE IT?! Lavigne’s sent reeling towards the ropes, her eyes squinted shut and mouth hanging open. Dove follows her, slamming more punches all over her body, but Lavigne manages to turn around at the last moment, and lunge under with a hook of her own, paying the HISC star back with a loud HOUUF to the midsection! Ladies end up in each other’s arms, wrestling with lips plastered on shoulders, with Cameron managing to push a tired looking Lavigne back to the ropes to pin her down. Wide round to Cameron, but that last bit of damage has both ladies panting and stumbling back to their corners at the bell!

ROUND 6:
Slower sixth, with both women still reeling from the intense face-off in the first half. Avril has kept up well with the younger, more spritely fighter thus far, something the Consortium corner may have not expected. The two gals meet again in the center almost at the same time, slowly circling and then trading leather to the face with some stiff knocks of the head back. Dove pushes herself forward early, trying to duck and weave and then snag Avril on her vulnerable tummy. But Lavigne sees those hooks coming a mile away, keeping an arm close to her ribs to intercept, then punishing the younger brunette with her other fist ramming her temple. Dove on the losing end of these exchanges, getting shoved towards the ropes by another big hook that craters her cheek in, and sends her packing! Cameron’s in trouble all of a sudden, barreling into the ropes and barely hanging on, barely has time to spin around before Avril CRASHES right into her with some more big shots to the face followed by an uppercut-hook combo and this is too much for one girl to take, and the poor brunette has no choice but to GO DOWN! Dove Cameron gets DROPPED by that wild pummeling, sent down and crushing onto her side by the ropes and the crowd is LOVING IT! It’s the first KNOCKDOWN of the evening, and it goes to Avril Lavigne!

Dollhouse corner elated, riding the wave of their girl’s recent successes! Avril lets out a triumphant roar of her own, circling back to her own corner and looking mighty proud of herself. Dove, meanwhile, has managed to roll to her back,blinking and panting hard as she takes a few moments to rest as the referee starts his count, but begins to peel herself off the canvas one inch at a time by the count of 5. Not the best look indeed for the former champion who gets caught offguard by Lavigne’s brawling prowess, but Cameron manages to steady herself by the count of 8, nodding to the referee and looking eager to continue this fight, making the Canadian singer groan in frustration.

There’s a minute left on the clock and anything can happen in the world of boxing action! Avril’s already set in her battle stance, fists raised and eyes fixed on her prey once the bell sounds to resume! AND HERE SHE COMES! Dove does her best to cover up and scram from the charging blonde, but Avril quite literally RUNS at her from across the ring, hoping to trap her against a hard place of no return! Dove groans and grunts as the hooks come sailing on either side of her head, her arms getting swept away by Avril’s frenzied slugging, the Doll doing her best to claim that vulnerable chin as a trophy! Cameron takes more bashes to her sides, her fit yet frail body getting rocked with Avril going all out here, which may come back to bite her hard if she can’t finish Cameron off. Cameron can’t keep up with the barrage, attempts to clinch up but Avril merely growls back, shoving her off her with her elbows, before driving another hook right INTO DOVE’S FACE. Dove is getting MASSACRED in there, but she only needs to survive another thirty seconds or so in order to save her skin! Avril’s getting into the thick of the action, however, one hand shoving those elbows out of the way, the other merely driven across the young actress’ pretty but dazed face! Soon, Dove’s lips are hanging wide open, she’s no longer defending herself folks! The HISC starlet’s head starting to spin rapidly and droop to one side! And that’s the signal for the referee to stop this madness! THAT’S IT! He JUMPS in to pry Avril off her prey, saving the former champ from permanent damage!

The Dollhouse corner erupting in cheers, whereas the same can’t be said of their opponents, with the Consortium side crying foul, stating that Dove’s arms were still up when the fight was stopped! Cameron herself looking groggy and glassy eyed, dazed and confused when the referee’s face replaces her actual foe’s. Dove seen mumbling a few words at the referee and her drunken confusion soon turns to irritation and rage as she begins to realize what just happened! The former champ’s now pushing the referee to get out of her way, let her back at Avril across the ring… but the ref not having any of that! Speaking of Avril, Queen Lavigne’s looking completely gassed as she waddles her way back to her corner after overexerting herself to finish Cameron off, and the Doll couldn’t care less about her opponent's protests at this point. She raises both tired arms in the air smiling before slouching against the ropes in what seems like sheer exhaustion, taking in the cheers of her fans as she takes a much needed breather. It’s a TKO6 victory in controversial fashion, at least if you ask the HISC team and Dove Cameron herself!

Official Decision: Avril Lavigne defeats Dove Cameron via TKO6!

AFTER:
“Get fucked Creampuff!” Lavigne giggles from her resting position on the ropes while a visibly frustrated Dove continues to argue with the ref with the sound of the blonde singer’s taunts in her ear. “You got wrecked again, It’s 2-0 you sore loser b*tch!.”
The HISC star has heard enough though and wants to have another go at Lavigne! The crowd goes nuts as she tries to make a sudden dash at the Canadian who’s busy taunting her from across the ring but the fans will not get an encore here as the ref is right there to block the raging Dove from reaching her target while Avril who’s looking spent, seems to want none of that, immediately putting more distance between her and the former champ at the first sign of danger and backpaddles to the safety of her own corner where she instructs her team to “Keep this loser away from me.”

It seems like Dove will have to take out her frustrations on someone else as both fighter’s teams flood the ring and the HISC star has no choice but to accept her fate here tonight, ending her excellent championship year on a sour note with a second loss in a row (and her second defeat at the hands of Lavigne) after losing her belt to Bassinger last month. The young actress is looking frustrated and angry as she leaves the ring shaking her head and vowing to have her revenge.

In the other corner of the ring, the Dollhouse team on cloud 9 - It's a huge win for Lavigne tonight and the singer continues to celebrate inside the ring with her team for several long minutes, posing for her fans and overall having a hell of a good time! “Happy new year bitchesss!” the blonde roars to her elated fans before leaving the ring and making her way out of the arena to loud cheers.

Lavigne came in as the underdog tonight but managed to overwhelm Cameron at the closing moments of the 6th and get the TKO stoppage. She continues to prove she’s still a top contender in the Flyweight division at the age of 38 and perhaps retaking that top Dollhouse flyweight spot right back from fellow stablemate Emma Robert’s hands with a spectacular end for her year, ending it with a 6 fight winning streak an overall 16-5-0 record.

Is 2023 going to be the year where Avril finally manages to win the coveted flyweight gold for herself? Is Dove Cameron going to get another shot at taking down the rowdy Canadian singer anytime soon? Or perhaps the HISC star will have to win the flyweight belt for herself again to ever get that chance.

Either way, we’re looking forward to finding the answers in 2023. Happy new year folks!
