Before:

Welterweight action sees up and coming Danielle Herrington facing the wily veteran Blake Lively. Herrington has struggled since the Diamond Boxing Tournament in 2021 but a win against Lively would turn her career around. Lively may have fallen short in a lightweight title fight but the blonde’s success at welterweight could lead her right back to a title chance.

“I don’t care who Danielle is, I have beaten models like Kate Upton before and I will do the same to her.” Lively declares at the press conference.

“Blake is just plastic blonde past her prime.” Herrington fires back. “When I am done with her everyone will be calling me the next big thing.”
Lively the first woman out for the fight, the blonde removing her robe to reveal a bright red sports bra and matching trunks with black gloves.

Herrington follows her out and the raven haired model is wearing a blue bikini set with matching gloves with yellow trim. The two women thump gloves and the ref calls for the bell and ten rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:

Both big girls are quick out of their corners and start slugging blows into each other in the middle of the ring. Danielle is younger and stronger and she quickly works Blake back, the blonde not accustomed to fighting someone more powerful than her. Herrington scores a blow to Lively’s liver and the blonde winces early. Danielle keeping the blonde moving as she tags her ribs. Blake takes a pair of steps back and Danielle steps forward as she plows leather into the blonde’s chest but the actress counterpunches and tags the model in her jaw. Herrington caught by surprise and Lively pops a follow up into the model’s nose and sends her retreating. Danielle protecting her face as Blake works in close and the blonde peppers the younger girl’s body with strikes as she works her into the ropes at the bell. The two women are separated and sent back to their corners as the blonde takes the first round on points.

Round 2:

Herrington gets an earful in her corner after getting bullied around the ring by the older and smaller girl and she is quick out of her corner but this time she thumps the actress’s jugs early. Lively with a short right into Herrington’s midriff in response but the raven-haired beauty snaps the blonde’s head back with a straight right. Blake stunned and Danielle follows up with a hook that sends the actress spinning as the model advances. Lively now with her guard up to block Herrington’s blows but the younger girl still works the older girl into the ropes with thumping body blows. Blake with a quick clinch for the break and she gets her separation. Danielle start back at Blake with a jab but the blonde bobs left and sticks the model with a right. Lively with a follow up but Herrington finds her counterpunch and Lively backs off. The bell rings and the second round goes to Herrington on points, wide.

Round 3:

Lively switching to a stick and shift approach as the third round begins and the blonde lands a left jab early. Herrington takes a follow up to her ribs and the GBS girl fires back with a left into the actress’s liver. Lively wincing as she swings at Herrington’s head but the blow sails past Danielle’s head and she pops leather into Blake’s mouth. Blake on the retreat as Danielle chases after her, the model launches blow after blow after the actress and thumps her in her body. Lively skirts the ropes and Herrington lunges at her as she tries to corner her foe but Lively evades her and drives a right into her ribs. Danielle now is the girl who winces as Blake connects with a follow up to her chest and the two welterweights get tangled. The ref steps in and the bell rings to end the third.

Round 4:

The two welterweights look to continue the action as the fourth round starts with a trade of jabs. Herrington lands the first solid punch of the round into Lively’s chest but the blonde comes back with a short right into her mouth and opens up the model. Herrington snarls and the model lands another thumping blow into the actress’s chest but Lively does not seem to care as she continues forward and lands a strike to Herrington’s nose. The younger woman is forced to cover up and she blocks another blow at her head but the blonde plunges leather into the younger girl’s torso. Danielle takes a half step back and Blake continues to work her body, peppering her ribs with lefts and rights as she works her into the ropes. Lively avoids the clinch and wallops Herrington with a left as the bell rings.

Round 5:

Lively slowing down after her onslaught the previous round and Herrington turns up the heat with a pair of rights that nearly plow through the blonde’s guard. The raven haired beauty doesn’t let up and drives a left into the actress’s jugs and makes her step back. Herrington on the prowl as she shoots out jabs at Lively but the blonde keeps her guard up and returns the blow with a counterpunch to Herrington’s mouth. Now Danielle backs away and the two women start circling each other. Danielle with the reach advantage and she uses it, jabbing at the older woman’s head and working her back, but she can’t land any solid strikes. Herrington drops the jabs and goes for a haymaker but she misses and Lively connects with a right into Herrington’s chin. Danielle swings back at Blake but the blonde connects with a left to her mouth and knocks the model back. The bell rings and the two women go back to their corners.

Round 6:
Herrington now showing signs of slowing and the sixth round turns to a methodical and calculated circle. Lively the aggressor, the smaller girl moving more quickly despite her age and Lively picks a spot on Herrington’s body and works it. Danielle wincing as Blake hammers the same place on her body. Herrington shifts her guard and goes for a left straight but Lively sees it from a mile away and sticks Herrington right beneath her eye. Danielle’s blow flies wide of the actress and the model’s arms are nowhere near her head. Blake smacks the sweat off of Danielle’s face with a right haymaker and the model is wobbly but still on her feet and Lively starts playing target practice with her face! Blake feeding leather into Danielle’s face and the model desperately pulls her arms up. Lively instantly shifts to Herrington’s body and finds her solar plexus with a right that doubles the model over. Blake working every legal inch of flesh and Danielle crashes to the canvas holding her ribs and torso! The ref starts counting and Herrington’s pained gasps and weak arm movements are not helping her get back up. The ref reaches ten and your winner by KO6, Blake Lively!

After:

Blake Lively continues her ascent in her first year with Fates and proves herself to be a legitimate two weight threat as she towers over the defeated model. The GBS staff rushes the ring and Lively turns her back on Herrington and leaves the ring while the younger woman is helped to her stool.

“Another day and another woman defeated.” Blake says as she puts together the best year of her career at age 35. “Danielle was not even close enough to beat me,” she boasts despite getting knocked down by the younger woman.
