Intro:
First time clash between American Hilary Rhoda and English lass Amy Willerton. Both have goals in mind to motivate them. Hilary after her fiftieth win of her career, Amy after gaining momentum before she heads into the Diamond Boxing Tournament. Who will get their wish?

Before the bout both posted on their social media accounts. Hilary tells her fans "I have Amy Willerton on pay per view this month. I respect you Amy and hope you do well in the Diamond Boxing Tournament. Thing is you will be simply win number fifty for me, #Thebig50!"

Amy posts on her own account "I see Hilary has made the announcement herself but I will be battling Rhoda on the ppv. This is a perfect way to prove I belong in the elite conversation and why I will win the D.B.T, I am focused, in the best shape of my life with an amazing stable behind me #unbeatable!"

Fight Night; at ringside the two stables management are sitting in the VIP section. Melanie Sykes and Sharon Horgan look friendly enough but as frenemies, you can't put it past them that a wager hasn't been agreed upon as they share a bottle of champagne.

Hilary is first out walking down the aisle as she has her coach Rebecca Romijn follows her. Hilary is wearing a red sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes. White gloves on with her hair tied into a ponytail. Tapping her gloves together after stepping into the ring. Hilary leans on the ropes either side of her corner to get used to the ropes. Knowing she might get pressed onto them against such a strong opponent.

Amy is walking the aisle now with her coach Ali Landry behind her. She looks relaxed as she shakes her arms. She is wearing an emerald coloured sports bra, trunks, shoes and gloves, hair tied into a ponytail as she climbs into the ring. Amy raises her arms into the air as she looks out to her fans cheering her on.

The fighters walk to the referee at the middle of the ring. The fighters shake their arms to keep them loose, before touching gloves respectfully with their opponent. Walking back to their corners as both take a breath to keep any butterflies away. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
There's a nod between the fighters before they begin trading single punches. Hilary looking to keep the fight at range it seems, moving back when Amy takes a step forwards. Moving up on her toes as they get a feel for each other. Amy moving to fire a few more punches around the abs of her American foe to try to open her up to punches over the top.

But Hilary shows her experience to step back out the way of an overhand left. Countering with a clubbing right across the cheek of the English lass. Then rifling a double jab into her left cheek to push Amy further back. Hilary seeing her chance to strike on the front foot now it seems as she tries to walk down Amy.

Problem for Hilary is that Amy is not going to back off so easily. Ducking under a straight to fire in one to the chest of Hilary. Landing three left hooks to the ribs of the American as she looks to rough her up. Hilary pushing her off but is met by a straight into her lips. Trading in closer range now which looks to suit Amy more of the two till the round ends. Great start from Hilary but she was clawed back by Willerton.

Round 2:
Stepping back out to engage each other. Amy stepping in with a left to the body of Hilary. Getting clipped with a right across the top of her head. Trading in midrange as Amy is looking to be aggressive. Hilary pushing off Amy to try to create space to work in.

An overhand right catches Hilary on her jaw. Amy driving her onto the ropes. Where she pounds away to the body of her foe. Hilary holds onto her. Both grinding bodies together till they are split up. Hilary landing a crisp double jab into the face of Amy. Keeping her back as she looks to close the distance on the taller woman.

While Hilary gets some momentum with her straight punches. Amy manages to deflect a jab to step inside with an uppercut to knock back Rhoda to her heels. Pounding back the older woman to the ropes. Hilary needing to shell up as the final twenty seconds she is under sustained pressure by Willerton. The bell rings with the blonde getting a nod from Ali for an improved round.

Round 3:
Both trading stiff single punches to start. Hilary backing off from Amy as she looks to counter punch her. Slamming in straight punches to the top of her opponents head to keep her at range. With Amy drilling in punches around the chest of Hilary as she looks to close the distance.

A double jab catches Amy to the forehead. With a right cross catching the blonde to her face. Hilary pushing forwards with a left hook to her cheek. Amy covering up as she is forced back to the ropes. Hilary switching up her targets to get around the guard of her opponent. Amy needing to hold the right arm of Hilary. Landing short rights into the ribs and cheek of Rhoda till they are split up. Referee splits them up with a warning for Amy to keep it clean. The round soon comes to an end with both staring intensely. Knowing they in a tough fight as they return to their stools to be cleaned up.

Round 4:
Pushing out their stools both trade hard jabs to start. Hilary starting strong as she tries to keep on top of Amy. A missed straight opens up Hilary to a right into her abs, followed by a left hook onto her chin to turn her head around. Amy muscling back her opponent onto the ropes. Swinging in hooks around the guard of Hilary to her cheeks.

Pushing off Amy, Hilary moves away from the ropes. Stabbing in jabs but finds herself under pressure as Amy slams in a left hook to the cheek of Hilary. Then lands a straight into her chin to snap her head back. With Hilary backed into her own corner covering up again. Amy looking intense as she barks with each punch she throws. Looking to hurt her.

Pulling Amy into a tight clinch. Hilary snarling as she tries to push back Amy. Both grinding heads together as the referee drags them apart. They resume with both going toe to toe in the final moments of the round, cheeks going red as they try to drive their opponent back. the round comes to an end with both putting hands on their hips as they lock eyes. Showing they won't back down till they return to their stools.

Round 5:
Resuming with more punches slamming into cheeks. Hilary lands a right hook to the jaw of Amy. With a follow up jab/straight knocking back the head of the blonde. Hilary driving forwards with punches smacking Amy into her face. Amy needing to clinch up with Hilary.

Broken up by the referee. Amy catches Hilary as they resume. A right hook slamming into the brunettes cheek. A jab then lands under her chin to snap back the head back of Rhoda. Who now finds herself driven to the ropes. Amy pounding away to the body of her foe. Getting groans and a grimace from Hilary. Who holds onto her now.

Dragged apart so they can resume. Both exchanging and nearly clash heads when they going in with hooks. Clinched up tight trying to force each other back. The referee earning their paycheck as they have to break them up again. The bell rings soon enough to end a hotly contested round. Sweat running off their brow onto their chests. Sitting down with red marks on their cheeks.

Round 6:
Amy steps in close to work off the bat. Hilary trying her best to push off Amy. But an uppercut knocks back the head of the taller fighter. Pushing back Hilary towards the ropes. The older woman tries to clinch up this time, met with a left forearm to her chest. THAT OPENS UP SPACE FOR ANOTHER UPPERCUT THAT SNAPS BACK THE HEAD OF HILARY AGAIN, A RIGHT HOOK SENDING RHODA DOWN TO HER LEFT SIDE!

Amy jogs back over to the neutral corner. 1...2...3... Hilary rolls to her back with her eyes shut. 4...5.. groaning as she bends her right leg. 6...7....8.. groaning as she rests the back of her right glove on her forehead. 9...10 it's all over for Hilary!

Winner Amy Willerton KO Round 6

After:
Amy pounds her right glove into her chest. Proud of herself as she looks to the heavens. Earning another big win as she is starting to come into her own. Walking to her corner to be met by an embrace from Ali.

Hilary is checked out by Rebecca. She sits up after a moment with a groan. Rubbing her jaw as she admit she was caught with a hell of a punch. Rebecca helping her to stand up and take her over to her corner. Washing her face with a sponge as Hilary grimaces as she is sore.

Outside the ring Sharon has a big smile on her face. Mel looks to the heavens mumbling something before she turns around to Sharon to shake her hand. It's a tense handshake as both try to hide their emotions. Whether that stays the same with more champagne will be interesting.

Inside the ring both women walking to the middle of the ring. Amy getting her right hand raised into the air. Hilary nods along as the crowd cheer Amy. The two fighters shaking hands as Hilary wishes Amy luck in the tournament. Amy nodding with a smile to her.

Out the ring heads Hilary, still a little shaky legged as Rebecca helps her to the back. Rebecca telling her to keep her head up. She will need to wait for win number fifty, along with getting back into the title picture right now.

While Amy walks around the ring blowing kisses to her supporters. Raising her arms in the air with a big grin when she sees Sharon in the crowd. Getting a thumbs up from her manager. As Ali is applauding her. Looking proud of how far she has come under her training.

Leaving the ring together. Amy and Ali have an arm around each others back as they walk up the aisle to the back. This will give her confidence as 2023 will be a massive year for her. Could she win the Diamond Boxing Tournament?
