DECEMBER 2022 PPV: Mia Khalifa vs. Kelli Berglund

BEFORE:

At the press conference, Kelli Berglund was wearing her brown hair loose and shaping her face with a tight black mini-dress and black boots as she contemplated her unknown opponent. Meanwhile, Mia Khalifa was already dressed to fight, wearing a black sports bra and black tights underneath a white robe - her hard taut abs peaking through. Berglund felt she was better than her opponent and was showing it in the lack of respect she was giving Mia.

The 5’2” Lebanese-American IBB girl tried to speak up but was cutoff by Berglund almost every time. “She’s a nobody, I don’t know why I agreed to a match with her other than to add to the number of wins I have. I mean, ‘social media personality’ is her occupation; how can you take someone like that serious?”

Kelli continued to rant on about the shorter IBB girl, even at one point calling her a “horrific sight to her eyes” which gasped the press and only made Khalifa angrier at her brunette counterpart. By the time Kelli was done ranting, Mia could only get in one statement.

“I’m not sure what Kelli’s problem is, she’s insulted me, insulted how I look, insulted what I do; I think it’s my turn to insult her by beating her to the canvas and making sure she doesn’t get up for being so arrogant.”

Berglund thought a face off would be a waste of time and left for the locker rooms after Khalifa was done.

“Well, I guess I pissed her off,” Mia retorted to the press who laughed in response.

Fight night live at Crypto Arena at LA LIVE in Los Angeles, California and the arena was packed. Word had gotten around about the Berglund-Khalifa pre-fight press conference and tickets were in high demand as many wanted to see Kelli put her words to practice. The Queen already was coming off a victory in a stable war with the VIX so she was set but Mia was coming off a November victory against Jennette McCurdy in two rounds.

Coming out first, wearing a strapless sky blue bra and matching boy shorts with a pair of gloves embroidered in gold with the word “QUEENS” written on it, the beautiful brunette Kelli Berglund who made her way down towards the rings stopping to take selfie with fans. Once she did finally reach the ring, she hopped in between the ropes and raised her right arm up to a chanting arena that was repeating “Kelli” in a defining volume.

Next out, and still in the middle of the chant for Berglund, was the IBB girl Mia Khalifa who was wearing a black sports bra, black tights and had black boxing gloves on. Los Angeles being the Queen’s backyard, there wasn’t many Khalifa fans in the audience tonight but those that were, were very vocal. She made her way to the ring, hopped under the ropes, eyed a relaxed and waiting Kelli, and shadow boxed in preparation for the match.

The referee calls both girls over and tells them to keep it clean and to touch gloves. While Khalifa puts her glove out, Berglund merely turns around for her corner - clearly disrespecting her as someone beneath her. Let’s hope Kelli can back that up.

Round 01:

Out of the gate, both girls rush each other. Berglund might have the famed Queens power behind her but Khalifa has patience, technical ability, and hard muscles behind her as they entered into a brawl of punches to their taut tummies. Kelli deflects a straight with her right guard, only to receive a left uppercut to the chin by Mia who had anticipated Kelli’s move. The dazed brunette took a few steps back and as Khalifa moved in on her, Kelli SUNK a jab right into Mia’s taut abs that lifted her slightly off the ground and took the wind from her sails. Berglund followed up with an uppercut of her own to Khalifa’s chin, leaving a split lip behind but Mia quickly recovered and countered with punches to Kelli’s exposed breadbasket.

At this point, it was a numbers game for the two girls, as they tried to tally up the points in the last minute. The bell sounded and Khalifa who had a great early start and a good overall round against the Queens girl was awarded the round wide on points.

Round 02:

Although the IBB corner fixed up Khalifa’s gash, both corners didn’t have too much to do before the start of the second. The bell rang and both girls were at it again. The round quickly turned into a brawl of punches to each other’s torsos trying to tire the other girl out for a knockdown blow with Mia doing more damage to Kelli than Berglund could return in the rapid fire contest. While the audience was on their feet, calling this round boxing would be rather crude.

It came to an end with Mia winning the round close on points and both girls having to be separated by the ref.

Round 03:

Both girls getting ice for their abs, Kelli’s torso reddened from the handiwork of Mia, going into the third both girls realized that this is becoming a fight of attrition. Bell sounds and the girls are back at it, except this time they don’t rush to close the gap. Circling each other like sharks, it became a question of who was going to draw first blood. That was answered shortly when Khalifa threw a jab at Kelli’s high guard which she parried followed by Berglund slamming a CRUSHING straight into Mia’s nose; earning blood with that punch.

Not to be outdone, as Kelli remained exposed in her high guard, Khalifa worked through the pain to send return fire at Kelli’s face, CRUSHING her nose and earning a bit more blood than Kelli. It seemed these two girls were destined to take each other hit for hit. Berglund, took a few steps back in pain while Mia closed in and begun assaulting Kelli’s ribs with serious force. However, the Queens are known to be heavy hitters and Berglund is no exception with her following up while under assault with a haymaker to the right temple of Khalifa which spun her 45 degrees followed by SINKING her fist into Mia’s solar plexus which took the breath from her and finished her assault with another jab at the nose drawing more blood.

Mia, rattled by Berglund’s strength, combatted her as soon as she was less dazed by forcing a fist low on Kelli’s tummy to shock the brunette Queen leaving her open for several SINKING fists just above her belly button. Berglund, out of breath from that attack, didn’t take time to recover and took a shot at an opening with a haymaker to Khalifa’s left cheek to spin her 90 degrees but before Kelli could capitalize or recover, the bell rang signaling the end of the round.

After a brutal round, the judges scorecard called for the round to be a draw.

Round 04:

Both corners work hard on their girls right up to the end of intermission. Standing up, there were daggers in the eyes of Berglund who wanted to send a message to Khalifa and the IBB. As the bell rings, both girls start at range, not wanting to get into what occurred last time. At least, it looked that way. Kelli decided to close the pocket and SLAM a haymaker once more into the left temple of Mia, this time giving Khalifa a gash as she spun partly. Berglund followed up with CRUNCHING punches to the ribs that had Mia practically bending to her side to avoid Kelli’s forceful assault.

Kelli switched gears and went for Mia’s exposed abs, HAMMERING away at the hard muscles like a drum as her force and strength started pushing Khalifa slowly towards the ropes. Mia, knowing what that would mean, waited for her opportunity and struck back at Berglund, SINKING a fist into Kelli’s taut flat tummy with enough force to stop her onslaught. Mia aimed for Kelli’s arms, striking them again and again to take the power out of her attacks but the bell closed out the round before any serious damage could be done.

After Berglund’s performance, Kelli won the round on the judges scorecard by points, wide.

Round 05:

Khalifa checked for injuries in her corner after Berglund’s assault, Kelli smirked as she waited with ice on her body in the Queens corner. The IBB fortunately found that no “real” damage had been done by Kelli from her brutality in the fourth as intermission once more came to a close.

Both girls back up for the fifth and the look in both girls eyes were one of wanting to knock the other out. They close the gap nearly immediately as the bell sounded and ended up in a brawl aiming for each other’s face and tummy. It was messy but both girls stamina were starting to wear out.

However, the brawl didn’t last long as by minute two, Kelli hit the nerves of the solar plexus of Mia perfectly to stop her in her tracks. She followed up with four haymakers - two to each cheek cutting gashes into Khalifa’s face before SLAMMING an uppercut into Mia’s jaw that brought the IBB girl down to the canvas.

Kelli quickly moved to a neutral corner as the ref started the count. 1, 2, 3, 4… Khalifa was struggling but was already on her knees much to the dismay of Berglund, 5, 6… Mia began to stand up; 7… Khalifa was fully upright and the ref started giving her the mandatory. This only infuriated Kelli.

As the ref waved Kelli back in, Berglund threw several volleys at Mia’s high guard before going downstairs to the breadbasket leaving her open for Khalifa to respond with a jab of her own into Kelli’s left eye. Once more, the round came to an end before any response could be mounted.

Round 06:

Berglund in the Queen’s corner with ice on her eye looked more infuriated than before. Meanwhile, in the IBB corner, the IBB crew was checking on Mia who had suffered a knockdown at the hands of the brunette. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, intermission came to an end and the two girls stood up to be back at it although the patchwork they both received could have had more time.

Kelli, looking to finish what she started, lunges towards the other side of the ring only to get a HARD HITTING jab to her sternum to push her back. Kelli parried a left attack which left her torso wide open and Khalifa SUNK her fist into the brunette’s body perfectly enough to make it a liver shot. The brunette Queens girl instantly collapsed right where she was standing, moaning, tears filling her eyes, as she cradled her body. Mia made her way to a neutral corner for the ref to begin the count but realized that Berglund may be moving but she wasn’t getting up. He however completed the count and with that, Mia Khalifa was victorious!

Official Decision: Winner by KO6, Mia Khalifa!

AFTER:

Khalifa walked back over to Berglund and bent down. “Maybe now you’ll remember my name,” she taunted before turning to leave the ring and the moaning in-pain Kelli behind. The press caught up with Mia outside the ring where she told them “her royal highness was the one to bend the knee today; let that be a lesson to you Queens that the IBB can and will take you on.”

No further comments were made as medics went into the ring to check on Kelli.
