BEFORE:
"b*tch just got lucky last time,” Avril Lavigne says earlier during the Dollhouse press conference. The atmosphere is electric for this rematch, and that recent devastating defeat at the hands of Jenna Ortega hasn’t seemed to quell Avril’s confidence for tonight’s fight much. The Dollhouse’s top flyweight continues: “I'm way better than her and she knows it. She couldn't even survive 4 rounds against Hayley (Williams). I'm surprised she even accepted my challenge, like... I guess she REALLY believes in her luck. I'm going to f*ck. HER. UP!" Avril says with a punctuated shout.

At the other end of the table, Miss Breslin is all smiles, leaning casually against the backing of her chair and folding her arms across her chest. "Actually I was shocked you challenged me again Av. After the state I left you in last time. I mean I thought maybe you'd quit boxing all together after the beating I gave you. And now you're here after getting totally wrecked by Ortega last weekend. You sure you're even medically cleared to fight again? I guess we'll find out. But I'm starting to think you have a death wish,” Abigail says with a smirk.

Stare down at the podium has both girls coming at the same height and bulk, though of course Breslin’s youthful stamina managed to win her the previous bout in six rounds just last year. Avril is still being cocky as hell, her fists trained to Breslin’s chin and cheek, whilst the younger blonde is doing the same, but with a smile instead of a scowl. Fight officials quickly get in between both girls before they can think of throwing the first punch.

Hours later, we’re back in the arena and ready for ten rounds of Flyweight action! Avril’s already roaring to go in her corner, dressed in her usual gear - a black and pink sports bra and short tights with matching gloves, wearing her shoulder-length blonde hair loose, whereas Breslin is bouncing up and down in the opposite corner, the actress is wearing a white sports top and dark blue trunks, with white boxing gloves. Her blonde hair dangling in a long ponytail as she bounces up and down looking ready to go.

Referee signals for the opening bell and HERE WE GO with 10 rounds of grudge flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Defensive and cautious is the name of the game for at least one girl here tonight, with Lavigne clearly a little wary of Breslin’s punching power due to the gruesome result of their last fight. She’s keeping that right hand extended most of the round, jabbing and prodding at Breslin’s head from afar. Meanwhile, Breslin’s looking like a bully, already confident in her ability to KO the older singer and not afraid to get in close to try and do so again. The younger, stockier blonde lunges repeatedly at Lavigne, landing several blasts to the side of her head and then her fists torqued low to impact the body. Avril needs to be moving far more than she currently is, and her guard isn’t quite firm enough to absorb this kind of punishment for too long and she spends most of the round blocking shots and avoiding Abigail with little offense to speak of. Bell rings and Breslin takes it wide, confidently raising an arm to the cheers of the crowd, as Avril sulks back to her own corner.

ROUND 2:
Avril tries to move faster and jab more often, but her attacks are either landing uselessly on Breslin’s forearms, or when they do connect, they don’t seem to stop Breslin’s rush-attacks one bit. Breslin bulldozes her way inwards, just sending those fists crashing into Avril’s sides and arms, battering the older girl about with groans of pain emanating from her lips. Lavigne finds herself suddenly trapped against the ropes, and with nowhere else to go, gets herself HAMMERED to both sides of the head with hook after hook, which staggers her awkwardly to both sides! BRESLIN’S ROPED IN, blasting away at the Canadian’s torso, before landing another hard hook to her chin, and DOWN AVRIL GOES, getting thrown to the canvas by the ropes, and we’re only in the second round!! It’s an early KNOCKDOWN from Abigail Breslin in dominant fashion! Is this it?! Is it already over?! We sure hope not!
Avril’s panting hard but her face is contorted in rage, even as she pushes herself up to all fours, shaking from the exertion. This girl has been bullying her for two fights in a row now, and now she’s being humiliating again by already finding herself on the mat in just the second round. But Avril manages to get back up and recover by the count of 8, nodding to the referee that she fully intends to continue.

Bell rings and Breslin CHARGES IN, as expected, immediately going back to wailing on the battered singer by the ropes. Avril’s turtling up, trying to make it to the next round, and all she needs to do is survive another thirty seconds to do so. Breslin gets in a couple more chugs to the singer’s body before the bell finally rings, and the referee has to pull Breslin off to herd her back to the corner. Disastrous opening rounds for the Dollhouse corner, and Lavigne herself must be wondering what kind of trick she needs to pull in order to take control of this fight going forward as she walks to her corner looking frustrated.

ROUND 3:
And here comes Breslin again, walking straight towards Avril and opening up with big straight hands and bigger swings to the head from the get-go! The Doll seems to have recovered somewhat between rounds, however, dodging and flying backwards to avoid these earlier attacks, before landing her own return punches straight to the young blonde’s face. Breslin looks stunned by these counterattacks, like she completely forgot this is a two-way fight. But Lavigne’s been practicing her counter-punching skills, shoving another left hand into the mouth before a right cross drills itself into the blonde’s chin, which snaps her head back with a grunt. And suddenly, it’s ALL AVRIL’S SHOW, the crowds roaring at her back as Queen Lavigne makes her presence known, her punches rocking and socking and shoving the youngster towards the other end of the ring! Breslin looks helpless and about ready to go down on her own, but has the bell do her dirty work this time, her back hitting the ropes and then immediately getting saved by ding ding ding at the end of the third with an aggressive Avril having to be pulled away by the ref and is smiling for the first time as she returns to her corner.. Cruel back-and-forth action from round to round here, but it’s clear that these two are not giving each other an inch!

ROUND 4:
Breslin flares her nostrils and attempts to regain her earlier dominance in this fight, but is met by another flurry of punches to the head and body. The young blonde knows her strength is to get in close and pummel her opponents till they’re either whimpering in her arms or knocked out cold, but Lavigne knows this too well, doesn’t want to taste Breslin’s power again and chooses to employs a lot of her energies to keep out of range of the stronger girl’s fists, using crispier and shorter jab combos to inflict punishment and skirt away. Breslin takes another one-two to her nose and lips, making her vision all blurry and pain searing through her faculties. She shakes her head as her eyes begin to water, but STILL she comes charging, hoping to trap Avril and brawl her way to a knockout. But Lavigne remains focused, landing more and more punches all over her arms and body, snapping her head this way and that, till finally, Breslin’s had enough, her head whirling in a daze, and the rest of her body heaving awkwardly to the side! Avril rushes in to punish her frame some more, rocking her body with a left-right combo, but really seeking that final uppercut to the chin, which sends Breslin CRUMBLING! DOWN the big girl goes, crashing face-first into the canvas, and left pawing at the pavement overhead! The referee scoots in to start the ten-count, as Avril struts her way back to the neutral corner with a smug expression on her face. Breslin tries to prop herself up to all fours, and does so by the count of 6, but it ain’t no use – the young blonde is too groggy and unstable to make it any further as the count of 10 passes her by and Abigail rolls to her side in dazed defeat as the bell sounds! It’s OVER!

Official Decision: Avril Lavigne defeats Abigail Breslin via KO4!

AFTER:
Lavigne elated, raising both arms as she celebrates her revenge victory with her team before strutting to the center of the ring where the singer gets her arm raised by the ref and takes the time to address her fallen opponent.

“You suck Abby! Learn to fight you big, dumb bully!” Avril giggles as she mocks the struggling actress whilst Abigail’s team help her make it back up to her feet, but then flees back to the safety of her team when a recovered Breslin begin to show signs of wanting to teach her some manners – gloves off.

Alas, Abigail will have to wait for the rubber match if she ever hopes to do so, because tonight belongs to Avril, who improves her record for the year to 1-1 after last week’s shocking defeat at the hands of rising star Jenna Ortega.
This was Avril’s 99th fight and her 70th career win and one cannot but be impressed. The Punk-Princess has come a long way since her come-back in 2018 and her next appearance in her ring will mark her 100th FCBA fight.

We can’t wait to find out who she’ll be facing for that monumental occasion!
