Results: Lookout!; Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse

BEFORE:
Up next, Emma Roberts looks to stake a claim in the race for Flyweight gold, the already elite Doll having come up short each time the belts seem within her grasp. But if her latest KO of Camila Mendes back in December last year was anything to go by, the American actress still considers herself a big part of the title conversation.

"It's a new year, and a new push for the title I deserve. 2022 was pretty 'meh' for me, but it must have been TERRIBLE for Moner, Merced, Mercer….whatever her name is these days. She went 1-4,” Emma says with a giggle, having had loads of practice in wallowing in other girls’ miseries. She continues: “I'm looking forward to starting 2023 by proving my obvious superiority over a mediocre fighter like Isabela."

Moner on the other hand has had recent troubles of her own staying in the title picture, having had a mixed year, as Roberts just called out, and recently getting KO’ed by the VIXENs’ Nell Tiger Free.

“Losing to Nell was a fluke, I’d admit. I can’t wait to get my revenge against that nobody. The thing about Emma…is that she’s too cocky for her own good. She thinks she’s a title contender but how many times has she failed to win the title? Literally who’s counting by now.” Moner chuckles. “Emma is anything but inconsistent as her own record has shown last year. I’ll be sure to see-saw her ass back into the losing column by the end of the night.”

One advantage that Nell had over Moner was obviously her height differential, something Roberts will need to rejig and tool for her own benefit. The two fighters are more equal in terms of physicality, with Roberts coming in with more experience in high pressure environments, as anyone who fights Avril Lavigne can attest to. Girls later come together on stage for the official staredown, in nothing but their underwear and taped fists, before backing away without breaking eye contact or touching of gloves.

Atmosphere is similarly tense hours later in the ring, where Roberts is sporting her usual gear of pink sports bra and long white tights, displaying her tight fit body to the fans, complete with white boxing gloves and her golden blonde hair tied in a neat ponytail. Isabela has gone for a midnight black sports bra, with short black and blue tights to complement her caramel skin and black gloves, her dark brown hair in a bun. Ladies are awaiting the opening bell, and all the referee has to do is signal for it with a wave of his hand! HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Looks like Roberts is not taking Isabela too seriously at the start of this contest, at least not after watching that latest tape against Nell Tiger Free. In contrast to how Lavigne fought her last match, the Dollhouse blonde rushes in to kickstart the action, leading with a left jab before taking swings at Isabela’s sides and arms to try and overwhelm her early. Loads of quick movement and aggression, which just goes to show much Roberts wants to dominate here, and not just Moner, but the rest of the division as well. Moner holds her ground at first, taking some jabs to her face but then meeting the Doll blow-for-blow back, a hook of her own hammered into Roberts’ body before another catches her off the top of her head, which sends the Doll reeling from the return firepower. Emma looks more shocked than hurt, especially when she realizes her power shots aren’t having the same, desired effect. She decides to hang back for the remainder of the round, protecting her head with easy weaves to the side, but her return attacks aren’t landing as clean, or as often. Surprise result at the bell, with Moner taking it by a close margin!

ROUND 2:
Emma comes back with a fury, resorting to firing at Isabela’s head from afar before jumping backwards before the GBS girl can stun her with a return swing. One thing Isabela needs to work on is her own countermeasures, and she’s having trouble avoiding Roberts’ fast jabs that are lighting up her face over and over. Moner knows she’s packing more power but it ain’t much use if your opponent is keeping their distance, and coupled with Roberts’ propensity to adapt well to her foes mid-fight, she’s in for a rude awakening as the facial hits begin to add up. Roberts is almost exclusively targeting her nose and lips, driving those gloves into her face to snap her head back or chin to the side. The Doll stays focused this round and it pays off, leaving Moner gagging and growling by the time the bell rings.

ROUND 3:
More of the same, Roberts keeping a tight leash on the would-be challenger, tagging Isabela on the face each time the young spitfire tries to get in close and dangerous. Moner hasn’t learned much since her last fight with Tiger Free, wading into those flurries and jab combos alike, as Roberts continues to shove leather into her nose and lips to stop her in tracks repeatedly. By the third minute, however, Moner STILL keeps on coming, getting in a few licks off the Doll’s body and arms, as Roberts can’t keep runnin’ forever, and there’s still plenty of fire left in the other girl’s tank. Moner still relinquishes the round by a wide loss at the bell, and the question is whether she can keep up her aggression for the rest of these seven rounds.

ROUND 4:
Roberts tries to finish her foe off in the first minute, roaring in to dismiss the GBS girl’s chances at besting her. The Doll sees some success, bashing her gloves into the cheek before a right cross is driven between the arms and straight into Moner’s chin. Moner grunts and snarls, but instead of falling back, rips a left hook back into Roberts’ body, which also stuns the Doll briefly. Both ladies stay in close quarters, squaring off, neither willing to retreat. Roberts wails away at the shorter girl’s head, hoping Moner’s dazed enough to go down. Moner’s being stubborn, however, absorbing the swings with her locked arms then bashing away at the blonde’s waistline to sap Roberts of her fighting spirit. Roberts realizes the error of her ways too late, begins to back away but is still getting chased by Moner’s fists. The Dollhouse blonde is forced to reevaluate her station at the bell, breathing hard on the ropes, and for the first time, Moner appears to have come out on top.

ROUND 5:
The Dollhouse corner is shouting encouragement at their girl, with Roberts trying to stay focused and keep Moner at bay once more. Moner’s acting like a bull in a china shop, however, repeatedly rushing Roberts down and jamming her fists all over the arms and body, taking fire on the way in, no doubt, but still confident in her ability to out-punch and out-brawl the blonde. Roberts can’t let herself get caught in a pickle, but with Moner’s energy reserves still at full, she lets out several grunts and shouts of surprise whenever Isabela brazenly crashes into her near the ropes, and she’s forced to cover up whilst taking shocking blows to her sides and chest. Moner growling, wailing away, stuffing another uppercut into the Doll’s sternum to send Roberts LURCHING forward, her mouthpiece shot out between her teeth! OUCH!! Roberts in trouble, getting hounded by more headshots on either side before Moner STUNS her to the face with a strapping right hook! AND DOWN THE DOLL GOES, Roberts sent crashing down to all fours by the ropes, left sputtering and eyes wide! It’s a shock KNOCKDOWN for Isabela Moner!

Referee’s hovering overhead, giving the fallen Roberts some breathing space to get back up by the count of 10. Moner, meanwhile, is already acting like she’s won this, strutting to the neutral corner and firing up the crowd with both hands raised in the air. Roberts ain’t done, however, seething on all fours before slowly pushing her way back up by the count of 8. There’s still a minute and a half left on the clock, however, and Moner’s looks set back in her fighting stance, ready for a more permanent solution…

Bell rings and HERE SHE COMES, right back and TEARING into poor Roberts along the ropes, more leather stuffed into head, shoulder and sides! Roberts in clear panic mode, doing her darnest to hang in there and cover up, hiding her chin behind her gloves but doing little else to neutralize Moner’s power! Isabela has her way with the petite older actress, putting her full weight of hip and shoulder into each blasting shot across the arms, and worst, those battering rams landing clean to her ears and ribs! Roberts takes another blast to the head that sends her spinning down the line, her mouth hanging open wide in shock, her arms barely hanging onto the top rope, let alone being put up to defend herself! Two more BIG SHOTS connect with Roberts’ face as Isabela makes Emma her personal bobblehead and THAT’S IT! The referee’s seen enough here, jumping in to save a very groggy Roberts from getting her pretty face rearanged! It’s OVER via TKO5!

Official Decision: Isabela Moner defeats Emma Roberts via TKO5!

AFTER:
Crowd in shock as Isabela delivers a thorough beating to the ever-proud ‘Ice-Queen’, who looks to be out on her feet, shell-shocked in the referee’s arms as she’s cradled to safety.

Moner all smiles, circling the ring with her arms raised to celebrate her first win of 2023, and what a win it is! Isabela’s career so far has been an up and down rollercoaster but the talented youngster has proven her skill in the ring on plenty of occasion, sporting impressive wins over names like Jessica Lowndes, Olivia Holt, Avril Lavigne, and now adding Emma Roberts to her list of victims.

Roberts meanwhile being carried to her stool by her team, the blonde looking like she barely knows where she is as she’s being worked on by the medical team.

“I told you guys…she’s very overrated.” The victorious Moner tells reporters outside the ring. “I’m younger and stronger than her. Roberts is old news. This was my fight to win and I kinda wrecked her. Last year was very disappointing for me but I’m going to turn it around this year. I’m only getting started.”

Moner’s words echo through the arena as the brunette makes her way to the cheers of the fans, leaving distraught Roberts in the ring to ponder her future. The Doll’s title aspirations have suffered quite the setback in recent months and Emma has found herself lagging behind Avril in the race for the title and the top Dollhouse flyweight spot, and with tonight’s defeat she’ll probably find herself dropping out of the top 10. She’s going to need some big wins this year if she hopes to claw her way up the rankings and reach her previous title contender status. But the ‘Ice-Queen’ has the talent to do it.

One thing’s for sure – she’ll have to go through the ever-dangerous Isabela Moner again on the way to the top…and hope things don’t end up like they did tonight. We already can’t wait for the rematch!
