Margot Robbie versus Kira Kosarin

Two bantams jockeying for position in the rankings - 8th ranked Robbie lost recent shot at the title and 4th ranked Kosarin has to be on short list for next title fight - cannot afford a hiccup versus dangerous blonde. All the tangibles favor Kosarin - two inches taller, seven years younger, far better record and with a championship pedigree - kind of begs the question what is Sceej Boxing thinking? Rumors are that there is a feeling that the 5’8” Kosarin is killing herself making the bantamweight limit and that she is vulnerable - “dead at the weight” as the old timers at the gym say.

Press conference chaotic - and NOT because of Margot Robbie or Kira Kosarin! Jenny McCarthy part of the Sceej contingent and STILL salty over foul fest 2020 title fight with Kosarin where she (and she alone!) felt she was cheated out of what would have been stunning accomplishment of winning title at 47 years of age. Begins with Jenny interrupting Kira at mic, calling her a “fraud”. Kira snarls, “Keep that blond b*tch on a leash!” and it is on! McCarthy lunging - trying to get at Kosarin, restrained by security … and press conference is abruptly ended!

Later, Margot seeks out Kira and lets her know, “Look, I respect you. All that B.S. at the presser … thats on Mac. You know her - she crazy!” Kira chuckles and nods, extends hand, “Hey - no hard feelings - may the best woman win.” Margot responds, “Oh. I will!” and Kira replies, “Dream on, Blondie!”

Fight night: At request of Bonzo’s gym, a certain blonde agitator is barred form working the corner so formalities are civil - Scrubby McGee working Sceej corner and Jadia Bjorlin for Bonzo. McCarthy screeching from ringside that after Robbis knocks out Kosarin, she’s coming for whatever’s left!

Round 1: Robbie out of corner on toes, dukes high, K.K. a little more flat footed. Telegraphing intentions - blonde looking to box and brunette looking for power. Margot able to manage distance with flashing jab, dancing back when Kira looks to answer. When Kosarin looks to press, Robbie digs back foot into canvas and flashes her own power with a left right left combination that has Kira giving ground. Sparkling display of ring generalship allows Margot to take the first round and there is no doubt about it!

Round 2: Corner urging Kosarin to mix it up. “She’s fast but she can’t hit - walk through her and get up in her business!”. Kira has the type of chin to play the “take two to give one” game. She begins to come right at the blonde, walking through the jab and bulling her to the ropes, then unleashing with the heavy shot. Brunette patient, taking what’s there - pounding ribs - then when elbows drop to protect the ribs, coming upstairs to jaw and temple. Frightful pounding leaves Robbie shellshocked at the bell and Kira cheating up and forcing eye contact.

Round 3-4: Robbie back to corner gasping “I-I can’t get her off of me …” Scrubby McGee responds “I can see dat … I’ll stop da fight now!”. Margot all “Wait … what?” as the master deploys psychology. “Ya just tol’ me ya can’t get her offa ya, so I’m gonna stop da fight …” Robbie responds in fury, “You’re not stopping nothing, old man!” .. and off her stool fiercely determined! Kosarin coming hard and stopped in her tracks by a crisp left right left - jab, overhand right and left hook - and then Robbie heel turns away to avoid counter. Kosarin chases, hooks the body but takes hard counter right and center ring both girls blaze away with both hands, bringing crowd to its feet as third round ends. Fourth round and the blood is still up! Kosarin and Robbie straight at it - meet center ring and start winging! Left jab - straight right from Kosarin - Robbie answer with double left hook, ribs and jaw - Kira fires back with right hand lead - Robbie forced back - and KOSARIN DOWN!!! Blonde gives ground, then abruptly plants and twists into left uppercut that catches chin and sits Kira down! Its a flash knockdown and brunette right back up on her feet and straining to get at the blonde as referee forces mandatory eight count.

Round 5: Kosarin on a mission - out of the corner and right at the blonde. Margot backpedaling, using jab to exact a toll as brunette looks to put on the pressure. Kira bobbing behind her mitts, able to pick off some of the jabs, slipping others, and occasionally head snapped back. Closes and able to flurry to body, pinning Margot to the ropes and punishing rib cage. Blonde looks to spin out and gets caught on the ends of a long right hand and now its BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Margot Robbie blasted to her back as that right hand kissed the chin. Now she’s all arms and legs - like a newborn filly - trying to organize disconnected limbs to get her back on her feet. She is up at “9” - referee asks if she is good? Margot gamely answers “Yes” but eyes glazed and legs not there. Kira Kosarin chomping at the bit. Referee gives the instruction “box”, but brunette hears it as “destroy”! Out of the neutral corner and lands a jolting right hand lead to Robbie’s temple. Guts her with a left to the midriff. Steps back and just hammering the right hand as blonde is draped on ropes getting sleepy. Referee steps in just as Scrubby McGee throws in the towel - particulars as to whether it is a referee stoppage or corner stoppage are academic - winner by technical knockout in the fifth round - Kira “K.O.” Kosarin!
