BEFORE: One might argue Joy Corrigan has earned herself an easier fight after upsetting Alexis Ren on the previous PPV but Stephanie Rayner hopes to prove the naysayers wrong and indicates she could take advantage of the blonde potentially underestimating her presence. BLONDE! Magazine calls Steph's bluff and points out all those fair haired models should line up to beat her up amid rumours Elsa Hosk is interested in fighting the otherwise winless Australian soon IF Corrigan kindly doesn't destroy her beyond repair tonight. This is a pure modelling jungle out there and Rayner will have to earn her stripes the hard way whether she likes it or not...
Joy Corrigan wears a black bikini set & red gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Stephanie Rayner wears a blue bikini set & silver gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1:
Brunette wants to make an early impression so she blitzes the slender blonde to the body, a popular way to attack Corrigan who rarely gives away that athletic prowess but her record speaks for itself... however Steph rallies with some precise shots and makes Joy feel them during the opening exchange. She beats the blonde for more punches and wobbles her onto her heels before a clash of breasts allows Joy to regain her focus. However Rayner keeps dropping those harpoons on target and she slowly backs the fellow model onto the ropes where Joy loses her temper when she gets whacked with a sudden uppercut flurry on the chin. Ugh! Stephanie barks in delight and heaves more leather upstairs clearly changing her targets but she remains on top of the action as she buries the subdued blonde behind a high earmuff come the final stretch. Woof! Big round for the winless brunette who taunts the crowd into some loud reaction while Joy only gives her a lenghty bytch stare instead.
Round 2:
Joy gets moving with her slugging pounce and she smacks Stephanie across the mouth before looping a quick double on each temple. Rayner looked mighty impressive when she was allowed to run the show in the opener however her defense just isn't good enough here as she gets pounded like a winless free agent she actually is... Joy cranks up the slugging volume and clips the brunette's boobs for a good measure and this burst of leather speed is enough to cave Rayner behind a high earmuff come the second minute. She finds a brief response with a head-hunting combo from behind the guard but it's all Corrigan thereafter as the blonde simply mauls the free agent both high & low and buries a deep right hand into her stomach that causes a shock reaction to the system. Stephanie stumbles to the ropes with a whimper and gets pounded into a standstill yelping in pain while Joy tries to cut her in half only for the bell to halt her swarming charge here. Uh-oh!!! Steph is HURT as she walks back to her corner while it's the blonde's time to interact with the audience now...
Round 3:
Joy fakes a low approach and rings Stephanie up with a nasty heater over the top before crashing into her chest to further soften the fellow model up. Steph grinds into a halt in the center of the ring but she still wants to swing it and catch the American with a vintage one-timer. She bounces off the top of Corrigan's shoulder and finds a right hand on the nose instead. Ugh! She wobbles onto her heels and just doesn't deke fast enough when Joy lands a brutal follow up a split second later. Steph cries out in pain upon impact and wobbles forward to meet another uppercut blast that LIFTS HER OFF THE CANVAS and sends crashing down on her back with eyes closed moments later. Boom! There it is!!! Referee tries to give the fallen model the benefit of the doubt but to no avail. She is outta here. KO3 Joy Corrigan!!!
AFTER: Rough & tumble finish to this model contest and Joy thinks she's earned herself a KO of the Night bonus award in the process. There's no denying she was the favorite coming into this fight and the main purpose was to stay visible in the PPV spotlight rather than swing for an elite scalp so quickly again: "I think beating the crap out of Alexis Ren got me some attention already. And I have my own plans here. I don't need to react to what other girls do, I come and receive elite table service myself! (...) Okay, maybe not Taylor Swift-elite but you know what I mean!" (winks).
