Luisana Lopilato vs Yanet Garcia
(Results: Lookout!, Words: Caspian)
Luisana: (35, 5’6, 115, 48:17 FCBA, VIXENs)
Yanet: (32, 5’6, 1:2 FCBA, Latina Knockouts)
BEFORE: Girls with similar profiles and backgrounds in this next fight, as Argentinian Luisana takes on Brazilian rising starlet Yanet Garcia for a South American showdown.
“Garcia caught my eye when she knocked out … back in …,” Luisa says first, smiling confidently. “I don’t think she’ll repeat her feat tonight, but I won’t fault her for trying, of course.”
The blonde Vixen has had her own mixed success this year, kicking things off with wins over Rachel Barnes and Eliza Taylor, but then falling to Troian Bellisario back in December last year. Yanet plans to capitalize on the Vixen’s uneven footing, also meeting her smile with her own from across the room.
“I jumped at the opportunity to test myself against a fighter like Lopilato. She’s had some good fights, and good wins, but after watching my tapes, I must say I wasn’t too impressed. I am fully confident in my ability to knock her out,” Garcia says with thinned lips and a smirk.
Latina beauties face off at opposite sides of the ring, both squaring their shoulders and looking haughty. Yanet’s dirty blonde hair falls loose and messy over her upper chest and toros, the Latina KO starlet dressed in a green and white floral bikini, with white gloves. On the other side, Lopilato has gone for a one-coloured lilac bra and briefs set, together with black gloves. They bump gloves a little too hard for comfort, the SMACK echoing through the rest of the press hall.
Hours later, they’re in the ring and just awaiting the opening bell. Both fighters are wearing the same outfits from before, and are less in the mood for a friendly handshake, by the glare on both their faces.
Referee signals for the opening bell to kick this contest off, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!
ROUND 1: Luisa TEARS into the relative newcomer from the very start, marching straight in like a heat-seeking missile before blasting her to the arms with a big cross! Yanet lets out a gasp from the opening seconds and it’s just a downhill slide for the challenger from then on out, with Lopilato keeping on her case and plugging leather into her arms and tummy, in a show of constant pressure. Garcia occasionally ripples a hook back at the blonde’s head, scoring off the temple or wobbling the chin, but Luisa just SHRUGS it off for now and slams a return shot into the Latina girl’s chest and cheek, drawing another painful gasp at the closing bell. Good drive from both corners, but Garcia looks completely outclassed in there so far.
ROUND 2: Garcia narrows her brows and marches right back in as well, wanting to brawl with the blonde! FINE by Luisana, who wades in to meet her in the middle of the ring! Girls BLAST and CHUG at each other in close quarters, taking turns rotating the head to the side with hooks before mutual digging of leather under the arms and into the paunch and waistline, hoping to stun the other girl just enough for a solid knockdown attempt. Lopilato looks a little surprised by the newcomer’s resolve, starts having second thoughts about whether this punishment is worth it after Yanet lands another stiff look off her chin, which sends her stumbling towards the ropes! Yanet lets out a shout of triumph, attempting to follow the Vixen into the breach, but gets held off at the last second when Lopilato shoots out her jabbing right hand to keep her at bay. Round ends with both hellcats circling each other from afar, breathing a little harder. So far, so even, as Yanet edges out her Latina rival to secure this round.
ROUND 3: Luisa keeps getting surprised by the rookie’s power and tenacity, with Garcia responding to her jabs and combos with a bigger cross to the nose and lips, or a sudden lunging shot directed at the stomach. You make up for the lack of experience with sheer power, strength, and a little bit of craziness, with Garcia firing on all cylinders to pound and peter away at Luisana’s resolve. Lopilato grunting, wincing, as another overhand slams into her arms, knocking her head back, almost snagging the chin back there. The Vixen finds herself on the losing end of another melee, is forced to take several steps back and reevaluate her positioning. She jabs from afar, landing punches only when she’s sure the coast is clear, but more importantly, looking on with glee as plenty more of Garcia’s attacks begin to miss entirely. Adaptation is the name of the game, after being in this boxing business for this long. Sure, Lollipop loses yet another round for now, but is looking a whole lot more confident when the bell rings.
ROUND 4: And for good reason: Yanet looks spent as hell, breathing hard and stumbling out of her corner. The rookie has made the mistake of putting it in her all in the first three rounds, and now left with fumes in her tank as she attempts yet another three minutes of punishing punishment. Luisa obliges, tagging her on the cheek with jabs from a distance before swerving in the big guns: a punt to the chin here, another stiff blast to the center tummy there to drive Garcia back towards the ropes. Yanet is not giving up just yet, however, also responding with each melee with ammunition of her own, and Luisa takes return gloves stuffed to her mouth, and turns her nose a bright shade of pink by the end of the round. It’s crystal clear that ONE girl has been forced on the defensive, though…
ROUND 5: But Garcia clearly hasn’t been inside the ring long enough to build up her stamina for too long. The Latina starlet has had bursts of action in the earlier rounds, but now is left floundering in one spot near her own corner as Luisana runs circles around her and punches her to the face and body with wild abandon. Lopilato enjoying the dominance, keeping a semi-defensive stance as she lands her shots: a left-left--right combo streaking in high and low to blast Garcia’s head back, then fold her over in half when that final cross prodded her to the stomach. Yanet’s doing her best to play catch-up, but is looking about done when another streaking right hand impacts her on the nose, throwing her into the ropes with a loud grunt! Lopilato wades in to mop up, battering at the Brazilian’s body with more thunderous smacks, before a final hook is driven across her face to send her SPINNING DOWN TO THE CANVAS! It’s as good as over for the newcomer, who barely is able to lift her head, with Lopilato raising an arm high above her! There’s the final bell and it’s OVER!
Official Decision: Luisana Lopilato defeats Yanet Garcia via KO5!
AFTER: “She gave it her all, I’ll give her that,” Luisa says with a sympathetic nod, earlier having strode over to help Garcia to her feet. The two competitors shared a comforting hug, with the Vixen patting her on the shoulders and asking her to keep fighting. “I’m ready to climb the ladder once more,” Luisa continues. “I even feel ready to take on Bellisario one more time…”
Meanwhile, Yanet Garcia receives a round of applause from the appreciative crowd, who can clearly see her fighting spirit throughout this fight. Whether she continues to hone her skill is another thing, but at least the Latina Knockouts girl leaves the ring with her head held high…
