Maddie Ziegler
(20, 5’5 ½, 11:3 FCBA, The Dollhouse) Vs. Cierra Ramirez (27, 5’1, 13:13 FCBA, Latina Knockouts)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse
BEFORE: Up next, another Dollhouse and Latina Knockouts clash, with Maddie Ziegler going after Cierra Ramirez, of whom her stablemate, Becky G, got put away by Maddie’s fists back in May of last year.
The two competitors look worlds apart in the early staredown, Maddie’s four inches on the shorter and older Latina might mean it’s gonna be an uphill climb for Cierra to avoid the same fate as Becks.
“Cierra knocked Avril out twice…and she just beat Camila Mendes...so, yeah... I know how dangerous she is,” Maddie admits first during the press conference. “She's got a lot of firepower and I already lost to someone her size recently. It's definitely not happening again though. If I can keep her away from me and punish her for making mistakes I'll be alright. I started the year by beating Olivia Holt so...I can definitely beat Cierra if I execute my gameplan. Good luck to her though,” Maddie ends with a cold aloof glare towards Cierra from across the table, which makes us question if that last well-wish was sincere or not.
Ramirez looks bubbly enough from across the room, having a mixed bag of results ever since debuting in 2020. One can’t deny her crazy schedule, though, putting on fights against former Flyweight champions Megan Fox and Dove Cameron, regardless of the risk or reward.
“Knocking out Avril twice? Isn’t even on my list of achievements,” Cierra scoffs, turning her nose up at the mention of those two ‘passing’ fights she’s had with the Queen Lavigne. Maddie’s younger and more talented than Avril ever was, so that’s why I accepted the fight tonight. Avril wasn’t a real test of my abilities, but hopefully Maddie will be. Either way, I’m going to knock her out just the same. Good luck to you too hon.” Ramirez ends her response with a confident smirk aimed at the younger blonde.
Hours later, both Flyweights are gearing up for their showdown in the ring. In one corner, Maddie is wearing a sleek blue sports bra and white long tights, white gloves on her hands, her blonde hair tied in a lovely high bun and she looks ready to go as she bounces from side to side looking focused. In the other, Cierra already smaking her black gloves together, the Latina star has opted for a little more skin, wearing a dark green bikini and briefs, her black hair in a ponytail.
Referee signals for the start of this contest, and with a wave of his hand, HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!
ROUND 1: Maddie knows Cierra’s has dangerous power in her fists, opts to use her speed and distance to rock her to the arms. Cierra has much to overcome before she can get in close enough to bang away at Maddie’s body and arms. Ramirez still trying though, fending off early shots to the guard before swinging high and mightily for the fences. Maddie ain’t used to this aggression, this early on, struggling to lower and raise her guard in tandem… As a result, Cierra slams a couple of stiff hooks to her torso, and a big one actually crashes into her arms closer to the end of the round, making her wince and grunt. Maddie wins this opener on average, doing damage more often, but not as much as her foe.
ROUND 2: Cierra still with that glint in her eyes, wanting to rock this taller girl down by hook or crook. She wavers slightly in the opening seconds, especially when Maddie begins throwing jab combos towards her face, hoping to deter her advance. Cierra responds with a slick duck and weave, catching Ziegler on the body before rising with another looping swing to the jawline. It didn’t hurt as much due to the Latina girl still being at a distance, but Ziegler’s been put on notice indeed, having to fall back and reform her guard. Ramirez still pressures the Doll backwards, slamming another right cross down the middle of her arms, but it’s another set-up for an overhand that lands square on Maddie’s torso, shocking the Doll briefly and making her lurch forward with a grunt. Ramirez on fire here, a wide round taken right back for taking advantage of her opponent’s defensive posture!
ROUND 3: Maddie begins to send power shots of her own her way, and Cierra doesn’t seem prepared for them! The shorter girl thought she was the only one in there with the goods to exert her strength, looks a little surprised when a jab-cross combo stuns her straight to the nose, stopping her clean in her tracks! Ramirez tries another angle of an assault, once again jabbing at Maddie’s body (it being one of the feel points she can reach), but each time getting a bigger taste of the slim Doll’s surprising power. Third minute and Ziegler has gotten the hang of her opponent’s movements, moving her arms low to block before hammering the Latina girl again off the forehead with a big straight hand, which almost throws her off balance. Ziegler takes it wide at the bell, and had an opportunity to finish Cierra off right there and then. But this Doll ain’t like some of the others, and Ziegler opts to hang back and conserve her brownie points for now.
ROUND 4: And here comes Ramirez again, who’s no longer smirking but doesn’t seem to be adjusting to her foe’s strengths over her. Ramirez wants to dominate but is using pure energy and aggression to get the job done. That might have worked on some other girls in the past, and those of a similar skillset, but this is Maddie Ziegler we’re talking about! The national dancer is agile despite her bigger size, easily weaving around her punches and then back out of the way of those bigger swings. Ziegler all the while tagging the poor girl on her cheek and head, then blasting her straight to the face and body with that practiced right hand. Cierra takes one cross too many to the chin, that latest one disappearing into half her face, making wince and groan. And she’s STAGGERED! Maddie senses the opportunity to finish this, wading in and pounding away at her arms and sides, of course aiming for that vulnerable noggin’! Cierra’s in trouble, getting stumbled by another right hook to the head, before a quick series of straight rights sail in to PIN HER FIRMLY against the ropes! The Latina Knockouts starlet lets out several yelps of panic before taking a final RAMM to the chin, and DOWN SHE GOES! Cierra looks shellshocked, collapsing onto her back as though the light has left her eyes! She blinks up in confusion for a few seconds, before all the fight leaves her body and those whites roll all the way up into their sockets! Don’t need the referee to tell you this fight is as good as OVER!
Official Decision: Maddie Ziegler defeats Cierra Ramirez via KO4!
AFTER: Oh my! A stunning conclusion (pun intended) to the fight as the ‘Mad Dog’ Maddie Ziegler knocks Cierra Ramirez out after another extremely impressive ring performance, the young blonde only needing 4 rounds to put the tough Latina down and out with her precision and agility based boxing style, and it looks like Ziegler continues to prove she’s the real deal and only improving, despite a few little bumps along the road.
Ziegler gets her hand raised by the ref and recieves a standing ovation from the fans who certainly got their money’s worth seeing the young star in great form tonight. Carmen Electra looking delighted as she runs into the ring and hugs the grinning Maddie - the blonde hugs her manager back in response and then raises both arms up high, thanking the cheering fans for the support and taking a victory lap around the ring. She finally makes her exit shortly after, accompanied by her team and a proud Electra, leaving the Latina Knockouts team in the ring as they attempt to help a very disoriented looking Cierra to a sitting position by the ropes. After an impressive win against the dangerous Camila Mendes on the beach, Cierra’s momentum comes to a halt tonight as she falls to Maddie and her team will have to watch the tapes and figure out what went wrong tonight.
“This girl is a STAR! She’s got ‘Champion’ written all over her!” The proud Dollhouse CEO tells reporters outside the ring. “Maddie’s the biggest natural talent we’ve ever had at flyweight and I’m very excited for her future in the FCBA. With her potential, the sky’s the limit, and she proves it to us every time she gets in the ring. Olivia Holt in 6? 4 rounds to take out Cierra? That’s crazy. She’s only 20 years old. Maddie’s going to be a big name in the flyweight division for years to come and We’re all fully committed to realizing her huge potential.”
Big praise from the big boss and Maddie herself seen smiling awkwardly in response when given the chance to speak, the victorious blonde only chuckles before responding with a short: “Umm…yeah….what SHE said!.”
Carmen Electra did say it all, and we’re looking forward to seeing Ziegler continue to climb through the flyweight division ranks this year, with some pundits already suggesting the blonde deserves that coveted big rematch against fellow mega-talent and current Flyweight Champion Millie Bobby Brown with the Flyweight title on the line. But does Millie agree? That remains to be seen. There’s some bad blood between these two young starlets and so, only time will tell! |
