Before:
The lightweight title fight sees two brunettes in a rematch from 2019 and Adrienne Palicki will look to get her revenge and dethrone Emily DiDonato in the Fates girl’s second lightweight title reign. The Chin Checker may be on the back half of her career but she does not think that will prevent her from stopping the Goshen Goddess.
“Emily is a tough fighter but she just uses her size to her advantage.” Adrienne says. “Tonight she faces a girl bigger than her and I will show her what a real big girl does in the ring.”
DiDonato laughs, “I beat Adrienne once before and I will do it again. I only defended my title twice the last time I won. I am going to prove I am a better lightweight champion then my stablemate Tay.”
The fight is announced and Palicki is introduced first. Adrienne strides to the ring and removes her robe to reveal an orange bikini set with matching gloves. The challenger paces around the ring when she waits for the champion. DiDonato is introduced and the Fates model steps out from the back wearing her standard purple bikini set and matching gloves with the title around her waist. The Goshen Goddess strides to the ring and poses for the crowd before bumping gloves firmly with the Chin Checker. The referee calls for the bell for ten rounds of boxing for the lightweight title.
Round 1:
The two brunettes have fought before and waste no time getting down to business. Adrienne is the bigger girl and the chin-checker is eager for yet another title to add to her storied career. The actress feints left and goes right for the model’s face but DiDo blocks the punch and strikes the older girl back in her midriff before connecting with a chop to her ear. Adrienne retreats before Emily can land another punch and show off the raw power that made her a two time champion. DiDonato chases after Palicki, keeping her gloves up and working the bigger girl into the ropes. Adrienne not giving Emily any easy punches but the champion picks a spot on the challenger’s ribs and works it. Palicki taking the punishment but the challenger knows she has to avoid a slugfest with the champion. Adrienne clinches and the ref pulls the two women apart. DiDonato charges forward and stops in her tracks as Palicki connects with a right to her chin! The chin checker steps forward and pounds a left into the champion’s chest but the bell saves the Fates girl from more punishment in the first round.
Round 2:
Palicki with a full head of steam coming out of her corner and the Chin Checker puts DiDonato on her heels with an early right. Emily with her gloves up and the champion blocks a left from the challenger before she drives a right into the older girl’s body. Palicki winces and takes a step back and DiDonato swings at her head but she only hits the air and Palicki with a straight right into DiDo’s face! Emily staggers back and on comes Adrienne. Emily with a short right into Adrienne’s chest but the actress does not care and she buries leather into the model’s torso. Emily gasps and quickly clinches before the chin checker can break her guard down and the ref steps in. Palicki with a fast right off the restart but DiDo avoids the blow and drives a right into Palicki’s ribs. The bell rings as Emily gets last second points but Adrienne wins the round.
Round 3:
DiDonato and Palicki settle into their rhythms and the first round passes with Adrienne jabbing at the model and Emily looking for the counter. DiDo protects her head and dances away from Palicki. The Chin Checker drives a right into the Goshen Goddess’s shoulder and the younger girl drives a left into the older girl’s chin. Emily follows up with a right into her opponent’s face and sends Adrienne back into the ropes. The veteran bounces off the ropes and the two girls collide in the middle of the ring. Emily wincing as Adrienne bounces into her body and the two girls tussle. DiDonato finds a short left into Palicki’s chest before the referee pulls the two women apart. The round continues and Emily feints left before driving a right through Adrienne’s guard. Palicki again in the ropes and this time DiDonato keeps her there with a left into her midriff. The bell rings and the round goes to Emily on points.
Round 4:
DiDonato hitting her stride as she dodges Palicki’s strikes and works into closer range with the taller girl. Emily with a short right into Adrienne’s ribs to knock the actress back and the champion follows up with a left into her face. Palicki quick on the clinch and the referee steps in. DiDo quick out of the break and she drives a left into Palicki’s chest and the Sceej girl gives up more ground. Adrienne plants her feet and Emily feints right before sticking the challenger with a left. Palicki stands her ground and drives a right into DiDonato’s nose and the model is stunned! Adrienne follows up with a left into Emily’s midriff and now it is the champion’s turn to clinch with her foe. The referee steps in again and pulls the two women apart. Palicki now the aggressor but DiDonato’s guard stays strong to the bell.
Round 5:
Both brunette beauties still standing as the fight nears it’s halfway mark. Emily quick to get out of her corner and she feints left but Adrienne reads her like a book and snaps her head back with a right. DiDonato is rocked and on comes the chin checker! Palicki with a left to her foe’s jaw and the champion is wobbly. Emily with her gloves up as Adrienne powers her into the ropes. DiDonato trying to weather all the blows but she realizes she has to have offense. Emily guts out a right into Adrienne’s body despite the onslaught and she follows up with left into the actress’s chest to knock the bigger girl back. Emily winds up with a right but she hits the canvas as Adrienne finds a right jab to her chin! The chin checker has the first knockdown of the fight and the ref starts counting. The Goshen Goddess gets to all fours and shakes her head, shifting her eyes up to see the ref’s count at six. DiDo to one knee and then beats the count at eight. The ref gives her the mandatory and waves Palicki back in. DiDonato backpedals quickly and works her jab to keep Palicki at a distance. The bell rings and Adrienne takes the lead on points at the halfway mark.
Round 6:
Adrienne shoots out of her corner tasting another title win in an already storied career and she plugs leather into Emily’s body. DiDonato grunts and works a short left into Palicki’s body before she clinches. The referee again steps in and the champion winces as the two girls are separated. Adrienne and the Sceej corner smiles and the challenger focuses on Emily’s body, pounding a pair of lefts into her ribs. DiDonato standing her ground but Palicki’s blows are too much and she drives the champion into the ropes. The ref’s watching carefully and Emily may lose her title without a successful defense! DiDonato slips to her right and avoids Palicki’s blow and tags the bigger girl in her midriff for payback. Adrienne now the girl wincing and Emily finds another blow to her body and the bell rings after a strong round for Adrienne but a few punches by the champion at the end of the round.
Round 7:
DiDonato hears it from her corner between rounds and is told that if she wants to stay champion she has to dish punishment back to Palicki. Adrienne meanwhile is told she just needs to keep up the pressure to win the title. The Sceej girl charges out of her corner swinging at the Fates girl’s head and Emily keeps her gloves up but the champion’s guard can’t block every blow. Adrienne beginning to break down the guard of Emily and knocks one gloves of the model backward. Palicki winds up and the challenger is rocked by a right from the champion! DiDonato with that explosive power out of nowhere and on comes the champion. Emily with a left hook follow up and Adrienne is giving up ground and the younger brunette drives her into the ropes. Emily not as precise or as fast with her blows but she’s landing blows and Adrienne has to clinch in the final seconds of the round. The bell rings and Palicki is visibly exhausted as she goes to her corner.
Round 8:
Adrienne slow to get out of her corner while Emily nearly skips out of the Fates corner. DiDonato dipping and diving to her sides as she fires heavy punches into Palicki’s ribs from both sides and the Sceej girl is taking a beating. Emily works her into the ropes and drives a left into her midriff and the challenger’s guard opens up. DiDo with a right into her foe’s chin and Palicki is staggered! The actress wobbles on her legs and clinches on instinct and the ref steps in. The two girls are separated and on comes Emily! Adrienne with a bodyblow to ward Emily away but the model presses forward and snaps the actress’s head backward. Palicki reeling and DiDonato with a left right combo that drops the challenger! Emily to the corner and the ref starts to count. Adrienne grabs the ropes and gets to her knees but the ref is already at the count of seven. She gets to one knee at nine and can she beat the count? The ref counts ten a split second before Palicki stands up on wobbly legs and she nearly falls down. The ref calls for the bell and your winner by KO8 and still the lightweight champion of the FCBA, Emily DiDonato!
After:
DiDonato heaves a sigh of relief as she raises her gloves and Palicki gazes at the ref in confusion as she staggers and holds on to the ropes to keep herself up. The Sceej staff rushes in to hold Palicki up as they help her to her stool and the defeated actress still is trying to tell the ref she can keep on fighting. Emily gets her title back and raises it for the crowd to see before the Fates staff wraps it back around her waist. The champion goes over to the defeated challenger and embraces the brunette before helping her off her stool and raising her right arm. The crowd cheers and the two brunette women leave the ring.
“Adrienne is a tough fighter.” Emily tells the press. “But I plan on a long title reign. Who is my next opponent?”
Palicki quiet after the loss and the former champion says, “That is not the last time Emily and I meet in the ring. That is a promise.” |
