Emma Roberts
(32, 5’2, 39:23 FCBA, The Dollhouse) Vs. Milly Alcock (22, 5’3, FCBA Debut, Free Agent)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse
BEFORE: Milly Alcock has been billed as the second coming of Emilia Clarke, the next platinum blonde-haired siren taking on the mantle in the Game of Thrones television epic. Miss Roberts, however, doesn’t look too impressed from her seat at the press table, rolling her eyes when her opponent entered the hall earlier to a loud applause.
Listen to a live audio recording of Emma speaking at the pre-fight press conference:
"Yes, I did watch House of the Dragon. It was… alright. I liked the book better,” Emma says with a smirk. “As for Milly, she's a decent enough actress, she did her job. A boxer though? I'm not so sure. They say I'm in a mini-slump. Well, I did have a terrible start to the year, but if you think that is going to matter tonight against a complete newbie…” Roberts chuckles, letting the thought hang mid-air. “You're sorely mistaken. I'm actually shocked she thinks she has any shot at winning tonight - b*tch, please. You stand literally ZERO chance. This fight is exactly what I need to start a new winning streak and get back on track...I'm far from done competing for the title. I mean, setbacks don't scare me. TRUST ME. So, Milly… I hope to god you're ready cause I'm DEFINITELY going to enjoy ruining you tonight and...you're just gonna have to take it. Poor you."
Emma is sure sounding bitter tonight. This is her first appearance since her upset defeat at the hands of Victoria Justice last month, in a fight that ended in a decisive 5th round TKO. Losing to a fighter ranked far below her in the division is not something the Dollhouse ‘Ice Queen’ is used to, and it seems like Roberts has a chip on her shoulder as she sits in front of the press tonight. These are a lot of words spent on someone who supposedly ‘doesn’t matter,’ and that’s exactly how Milly feels when she’s finally given the chance to speak. The Australian actress has done a good job of projecting her fictional persona for the small screen, shocking loads of people in the room when she speaks out in her native accent.
“To hear Roberts question my credentials and ability is rich, especially when I’m the one cast in a blockbuster television series of the year, and she… Well, what exactly has she starred in recently? ‘Holidate’? Some corny Christmas movie?” Milly says, drawing a chuckle from the crowd. “Come on, Emma can’t act, so she decided to try her luck at punching other girls out. And I’m hearing that’s not going so well for her either lately. I may be new and lacking ring experience, but if you’re as good in the ring as you are on camera…” Alcock snickers, looking directly at Roberts. “I’m not too worried.”
Tense staredown at the podium with Roberts seething at Alcock’s mockery of her acting skills, and it’s also our first look at the contrast between their statures, with Milly coming into this fight with a one inch height advantage and almost ten years younger than the 32 year old Dollhouse veteran. Roberts, of course, will be banking on her raw talent and tens and tens of fights under her belt. Besides, the petite actress is far from being past her prime, looking fit and in excellent shape - appears to be ready to hang with practically anyone for 10 full rounds of action if need be. In the ring, Roberts is dressed in her usual colors of pink and white, a sports bra and long fighting white tights, complete with white gloves, hair in a tight ponytail as she gestures with both arms spread wide and a wider smirk when the announcer calls her name. In the opposite corner, Milly looking classy in a black holstered bralette and purple long tights, her dark brown hair with blonde highlights in a royal looking bun, raising black gloves and bowing to the many ‘House of the Dragon’ fanatics who showed up tonight to show their support and watch young Rhaenyra making her boxing debut.
Referee signals for the opening bell, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!
ROUND 1: Emma looks like she wants to quickly finish off the rookie contender and call it an early night, marching straight in with both arms up and locked. Same tale is told whenever a new girl steps into the ring for the first time, Milly focusing on finding her sea legs and choosing to defend herself rather than do any risky sh*t. This leaves Roberts able to swoop in and dominate, a very aggressive push into her space before pounding upon her arms and sides. No need for jab combos here, according to the Doll, who’s shrugging off return shots from Alcock before ramming a stronger hook clean into her face. Alcock’s taking much damage, but for a rookie, is holding her ground well enough. Sure, she’s getting walked down the extent of the ropes, trying to hold off against Roberts’ assault, but the odd jabbing hand does crunch back into Emma’s lips, which makes her foe even madder. Bell rings and Emma roars with renewed confidence, knowing she’s taken the round wide, but also secretly hoped to have KO’ed the newbie in the very first round.
ROUND 2: Bell rings again and Emma’s flowing in with aggression, throwing caution to the wind and absolutely wanting to prove her chops. Mustn’t be a good feeling indeed to have one of your most hated rivals competing for the Flyweight straps on the same fight card, with Avril Lavigne potentially stepping over the finish line before she does. This leaves Emma frustrated and snarling, walking into Milly with a barrage of hooks to the body, before trying to take the rookie’s head off with snap uppercuts that slam into her guard. Milly absorbing, wincing, fighting back whenever she can, actually DENIES Roberts another dominant round when a shock hook connects to the side of her head, and then burying another swing into her torso before the Doll can retaliate. Emma’s response? MORE swinging and bashing, wanting to overwhelm the rookie and accepting NO other conclusion. Alcock moves faster, out of the way, managing to avoid the wild Doll before the end of the round. Close round to Milly instead, which will piss Roberts off even more, we suspect…
ROUND 3: Stubborn and steady wins the race, we hope? That’s Roberts’ motto, at least, as the Doll rushes headlong into the fray once more. SURELY three rounds of unbridled rage will be enough to knock the newcomer off her feet?? Milly’s fans, however, know otherwise. The Aussie actress may have only recently broken out into the scene as a star, but she’s been training and doing stunts on movie sets a long time before that. Milly frustrates Emma’s attacks in the first minute, showing some promising head movement and footwork as she dodges and rolls, then packs a hook back into the side of the Doll’s head. Roberts, however, has LOADS of energy reserves, and worst, some pent-up rage that’s just dying to be released. She practically BARRELS into Milly towards the end of the round, trapping her against the ropes and bashing away on her with left and right hooks, high and low, sending her reeling when a final hit to the chin spins her about, threatening to throw her down to the floor. But before Emma can follow up, the bell rings, giving Alcock some much needed breathing space.
ROUND 4: Milly surprises the crowd with a sudden charge forward, meeting Emma halfway and STUNNING the Doll with an early overhand right between the eyes! UGH! Emma was also about to pull back and resume her assault, but the sudden rush attack from the challenger stopped her right in her tracks! Roberts desperately covers up as more hooks come sailing in, Milly batting down the hatches with stuns and blasts to the Doll’s arms, then switching targets to her torso for more gut-wrenching action. Roberts has had enough, though, in the second minute, holding her ground and EXCHANGING FIRE in close quarters! Gloves stuck and shoved into both girls’ facial features, though Alcock deliberately stuns the ribcage with a series of low hooks to chop Roberts over in pain. For the first time in the fight, Emma’s getting beaten backwards, her eyes flashing with panic. The slump might be real folks, as she’s failed to put the newbie away thus far, and at the bell, looks winded, having to stumble back to the corner shaken.
ROUND 5: Emma, usually known as one of the smartest and most cunning fighters on the Dollhouse roster finally starts living up to her name, fighting in a more calculated manner after 4 rounds of attempting to prove a point and get the fight over with. Sure, her opponent might not have the experience she has, but Milly’s long range attacks and surprising power in close quarters has put her off from going all in, and all early. First minute and both blondes circle rather than rush in, Milly not wanting to test her luck with two charges in a row. Jabs fired from both directions but Emma is slowly gaining the upper hand, her precision and instincts overpowering Milly’s slower-moving defenses and guard, as the Doll sinks punches into her body with a left-right combo before going up north after with a crunching hook across the chin. These attacks are beginning to add up, and soon, Milly gets thrown to the side by another rapid combo, the sheer number of punches just overwhelming her senses. Roberts’ heavy hooks from earlier might have softened her up, but it took a quick incision into enemy territory to get the job done! Alcock grunts as another straight right lands to the forehead, tossing her head back with the rest of her body hitting the ropes, and wavering! All it takes is another swung hook for the fences, Roberts stepping in and POWERING the shot clean across her face! AND DOWN SHE GOES! Alcock doesn’t even have time to groan before she gets thrown to the ground, hitting the canvas face-first with the rest of her limbs barely twitching on all sides! It’s all OVER!
Official Decision: Emma Roberts defeats Milly Alcock via KO5!
AFTER: Roberts standing over her beaten opponent, nostrils flaring and panting, looking down at Milly’s unconscious form and shaking her head. The Doll is surely disappointed with herself for needing 5 rounds to dispatch the newbie, but she got the job done, and is back to winning, and that’s the important part.
Planting her white boot on Milly’s back, Emma poses to the cameras as the ref raises her arm, her usual cocky smirk plastered on her sweaty but ever gorgeous face, the victorious Doll still breathing hard after 5 rounds of near constant aggression in the ring tonight. Soon after, Roberts exits the ring and allows Alcock’s team to revive the fallen debutant. Milly put up a valiant fight tonight and deserves plenty of respect, but the Ice Queen’s talent and experience was too much for the newbie to handle after surviving for almost 5 rounds, which is more than some other girl who came before her, with Emma sporting some 3 and 4 round KO’s to her name.
It remains to be seen if Alcock will continue her FCBA career after experiencing her first knockout tonight, but the feisty Brit sure showed plenty of potential tonight and we’re excited to see where she goes from here! Speaking of excitement, Emma has something to say as she walks out of the ring and approached by reporters. “This fight was a waste of my time…” Emma hisses. “SO not worth talking about…but I do have a message for Millie Bobby Brown….” She turns to face the camera before addressing the champion directly. “Millie…I trust you to be a good girl and DESTROY Avril tonight. She does NOT deserve being the champion. DON’T disappoint me.”
Roberts then makes her way towards the exit, but despite her win tonight, the possibility of her inhouse nemesis Avril Lavigne becoming the new champion at the end of the night clearly weighs on the Ice Queen's mind. Emma’s jealousy must be at an all-time high…and we can’t wait to see what her next move will be!.
