Intro:
The Hilary Rhoda tour of Diamond Boxing Tournament participants continues on PPV. Ireland Baldwin is one of the front runners of this year's tournament. Can Ireland make a statement by beating a former FCBA welterweight champion?

The build up saw both women take to social media to get fans interested. Hilary posted on her account "I have been impressed by Ireland in the diamond tournament. Still I am going to give her a taste of what makes an elite fighter. I hope she brings a notepad. #teachingthenextgeneration."

Ireland meanwhile replied "you are going to teach me what? How to kiss the ass of Hannah Ferguson? You are the worst world champion in FCBA history. Simply a stepping stone for my future." As she shows no fear of the former champion. Not showing any hang up from losing to Amy Willerton in her last fight.

Fight night. Hilary steps out onto the stage with her coach Rebecca Romijn beside her to her left. Hilary taps her black gloves together as she walks down the aisle. A confident smile on her face as she nods to her fans. She steps into the ring wearing a white sports bra, matching trunks and shoes, hair tied into a braid. She taps her cheeks as she awaits her opponent to be in the right frame of mind.

Ireland heads out to the aisle with her coach following her. Ireland looks to the ring with a smirk. She steps into the ring wearing a red sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes, hair tied into a ponytail. She climbs through the ropes into the ring with eyes on Hilary. Telling her "I am going to beat your ass bytch" with Hilary laughing.

The referee brings the fighters to the center of the ring. Hilary doesn't say a word as she just looks over Ireland. Who is staring down at Hilary with no hint of respect. When they are told to touch globes, Ireland slams her gloves on top of Hilary's. With the former champion shaking her head as they return to their corners. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Both women jabbing away to start, Hilary not so used to dipping down to work away against a taller fighter like this. With Ireland pounding in some solid clean hits around the top of her head. Hilary gets inside to work the body of her opponent with two hooks. Getting nudged back a caught with a right onto her ear to make her retreat back.

Ireland catches the older fighter with a double jab into the top of her head. A right cross soon coming in as Hilary is finding herself being pushed onto the back foot. Ireland stepping after Hilary, not rushing in as she picks her punches, showing the experience the younger woman has picked up over the past few months.

While Hilary is able to get inside to work at times. It is Baldwin working the better punches in when she enforces her will on proceedings with shoves to create the space. With Ireland keeping her opponent herded near the ropes up until the round comes to an end. Ireland raising her right arm into the air above her head to show Hilary who owned this round.

Round 2:
Tapping her cheeks before she comes back out to fight. Hilary is moving inside quicker to work the body of Ireland. Who is still giving little nudges to open up the space between them. While Hilary has gotten off to a quicker start, it's Ireland pushing her back at the moment.

After an energetic opening minute, Hilary ducks under a straight and comes over the top with an overhand left to her jaw. An uppercut then sends Ireland onto her heels as the veteran has he opening. Driving back the taller fighter onto the ropes, where she pounds away at the body of her opponent to the delight of her corner.

Smothering the work of Rhoda with a clinch. Baldwin is happy for them to be split apart, working away with her jab again, Ireland looking to control that range better after getting a little lax. Still Hilary is finding some crisp punches to the cheeks of Ireland to keep her on her toes. The bell rings with Hilary not celebrating, looking focused as she returns to her stool to sit down.

Round 3:
Again Hilary comes out strong; knowing she can't let Ireland simply set her feet to work. Banging away at the torso of the bigger woman, who understandably doesn't look as keen to trade so close to the more compact Hilary. Especially when an uppercut again catches her to knock her back a step.

There's a little hint of worry on Ireland's face as she gives up ground, back towards the ropes as she works hard to match the intensity of her opponent. Both are landing stiff punches through the others mitts as they look to push each other back. Ireland showing her willpower to not let Hilary bully her.

Late in the round Hilary is caught with a left cross to her cheek. A straight follows as she pushes back her opponent back to the center of the ring. Hilary trying to go toe to toe with Ireland in the dying moments, both fit models landing cracking punches up till the round comes to an end. They lock eyes before jogging past each other to return to their corners.

Round 4:
Stepping back out to resume. Hilary digging in the punches around the torso of her opponent. Ireland moving more side to side to try to be a harder target for Hilary to crack over the top. A missed overhand left from Hilary leaving her open to a clubbing left to the side of her head to make her stumble two steps to the side. A straight slamming into the face of Hilary to rock her to the ropes.

Hilary trying to fight her way off the ropes. Ireland clubs her with a right hook to the cheek of her older opponent to turn her head. Pounding punches coming in till Hilary can clinch up with Ireland, holding her tight to slow her down as there is blood coming from a cut above the left eyebrow of Rhoda.

They are split up and told to resume. Hilary forced to cover up tightly as Ireland is hunting her down, smelling blood in the water as she pounds a jab into the chest of Hilary to force her back onto the ropes again. Quickly Hilary hangs onto Ireland to slow her down. The round soon ends with Ireland showing her blood stained right glove in the air to show the crowd. Hilary getting patched up as she hisses when her cut is touched.

Round 5:
Resuming with Hilary looking to protect that left side, throwing more single punches as Ireland stalks after her with a smirk. This would arguably be the biggest victory of Ireland's career, so understandably she isn't rushing in right now. Both landing straight punches around the others chest.

Deflecting a straight as she sees that's where most of the attacks are coming from. Ireland steps in with a hard straight of her own into the face of Hilary to shove her onto her heels. LEFT HOOK THEN SLAMS ONTO THE JAW OF HILARY TO SEND HER STUMBLING DOWN TO HER BACK!

Ireland pounding her gloves together with a big smile on her gorgeous face. 1...2...3... Hilary groans as she turns to her front. 4...5... Grabbing the middle rope to push to her knees. 6...7...8... Hilary gets up to her feet. Nodding to her fans to say she is ok, fists raised to the referee to show she wants to fight on.

They resume with Ireland looking for the knockout with just under a minute to go. Hilary using all the weapons she can go keep Ireland from landing a clean big hit, holding, dipping down near the waistband of her opponents trunks. Digging in single punches as Ireland just keeps missing with the power punches sigh venom behind them.

The round ends with Hilary returning to her corner needing a pep talk from Rebecca as she is cleaned up. Across the ring Ireland is looking much more relaxed as she gets wiped down by her coach.

Round 6:
Out comes Ireland looking to pound in a big right. With Hilary dancing around to the left of her opponent to keep away from her. Ireland missing with her bigger punches as Hilary shows her legs are not gone yet. Till Ireland can shove Hilary into a neutral corner. Where she starts to pound in several clean hits till she is held onto.

They are broken up by the referee. Ireland telling Hilary to bring it on as she steps after her smaller opponent. A straight slams into Ireland's chin to show her that Hilary isn't quitting. With both landing several crisp hits at range but maybe some loss of focus coming from Baldwin as she is getting clipped around her chin.

Final minute sees Hilary lands a jab into the belly button of Ireland. Following with an uppercut onto the chin of the younger woman. Allowing the smaller fighter to muscle back opponent into a neutral corner. Digging away after the stomach of Ireland, who suddenly looks in trouble as her cheeks flush red. The round comes to an end with Ireland's chest definitely going up and down quickly. Hilary gets some blood wiped from around her left eye as the cut is reopened. Both women looking sore but they are up for the next round.

Round 7:
Both push out their stools to resume as Hilary is digging her fists around the torso of her opponent. Ireland gritting her teeth not to grunt, a few clipping hits coming back from Ireland. A straight lands on the chin of Ireland to catch her out as her head snaps back. POUNDING RIGHT INTO THE LIVER AREA OF IRELAND TO SEND HER CRASHING DOWN ONTO ALL FOURS!

Hilary walks to the neutral corner with hands on her hips as she leans against the turnbuckles. 1...2...3...4... Spitting out her gumshield, Ireland rolls to her right side as she curls up. 5...6...7... Tears running down from her eyes to the canvas as she is groaning. 8...9...10 Ireland is counted out!

Winner Hilary Rhoda KO Round 7

After:
Hilary yells "f**king yes!" As she lets her emotions out. Coming back from being down and looking in real trouble thanks to the power of Ireland. Her experience was enough to overcome this test. Rebecca tapping her shoulders as she sits on her stool.

Ireland on the other hand suffers another bad defeat this month. She pushed Amy Willerton only a few weeks ago before losing, now she is suffering again as her coach applies an ice pack to the stomach. Soon she sits up wiping tears from her eyes after her gloves are taken off as this another harsh learning experience for her.

Staring at Ireland with a hard glare. Hilary didn't enjoy being pushed so hard by the younger woman. As she wants to reach the Hall of Fame performances like this have to worry her. Maybe some truth from the younger woman about where she truly stands in the welterweight division.

Meanwhile when Ireland is fit enough to leave the ring she does so. Ice pack still held onto her stomach as she will need to try to forget this month's results as she goes forwards in the Diamond Boxing Tournament. Still with a chance to win that to make this year a successful one.

In the ring Hilary gets her left arm raised in victory. She looks relieved to hear her name announced, her supporters cheering her on as she blows kisses to them. Not staying around though as she leaves the ring with Rebecca. Having a few things to think about herself as she walks to the back. A shiner around her left eye to show her friends and family.
