Before:
Newly crowned welterweight champion Blake Lively makes her first title defense against Hilary Rhoda and the press conference buzzes when the two girls enter. Rhoda looks to recapture the title six years after she lost it while Lively turned the page on her career since joining Fates with a 16-4 record and capturing the welterweight title with impressive knockouts of top big girls Kate Upton and Amanda Righette and Camille Kostek.
“Blake is a serious threat in the division.” Hilary says. “But she can’t beat me. I have more wins than she does in less fights. I have my own goals in the FCBA and its been a long time since I held the title. I am winning it back tonight and putting another Fates girl in her place.”
Lively laughs at Hilary. “I don’t care that Hilary has more wins than me. I’m a woman on a mission at Fates and that means proving myself as a dual weight champion. I’ve beaten the best welterweights and I’ll beat her too.”
Rhoda the first girl to enter the arena and she wears a yellow sports bra with black trim and yellow trunks with her hair in a ponytail for the fight. The model paces back and further in the ring while she waits for the actress to make her way to the ring. Lively steps out moment later wearing a crimson sports bra and black trunks with matching gloves and the title around her waist. Blake struts to the ring and poses on the ring post before giving the title to the ref and never breaks her stare with Hilary. The ref gives the two girls final instructions and the bell rings for ten rounds of welterweight action for the title.
Round 1:
Blake quick out of her corner against the bigger girl in her first title defense and the actress tags Hilary with a left early. Rhoda with a step back and she lands a jab to keep Lively at a distance. Lively steps back and Rhoda shoots out a right jab at her chest but the blonde tags the brunette in her face. Blake with a right to Hilary’s body and the model is quick to clinch with the champion. The referee separates the two girls and the fight continues. Rhoda works her jab but Lively blocks the punches with her guard and drives a left into the model’s ribs. Both girls in close and Lively gets the better of the trades and she works the bigger girl back. The bell rings and the two women go back to their corners and Blake wins the first round on points close.
Round 2:
Rhoda knows Lively’s plan now and the model gets her jab working early. Hilary with a right into Blake’s mouth and the challenger follows up with a left into her ribs. Blake stands her ground and finds a left back into Hilary’s body but the model dances left and snaps Blake’s head back. Lively covers up as Rhoda works her body until the blonde can clinch. The ref separates the two women and the two women start circling. Hilary works her jab and Blake has no answer and the blonde gets bullied around the ring. Hilary’s blows thump on Blake’s guard but the actress keeps her gloves strong and Hilary can’t work through them. Lively works in close with a thirty seconds left in the round and tags Rhoda’s body with a short right and then clinches before Rhoda can fight back. The bell rings and the two girls go to their corners and Hilary evens the fight on points.
Round 3:
Both women settling into their rhythms in the third and the two women trade rights and lefts. Hilary working her jab and Blake getting in close against the bigger girl. Lively getting the better of the trades early and she knocks Rhoda into the ropes with a short right and the model clinches for the break. The two girls are separated and Lively feints left but she gets rocked by a right from Rhoda! Blonde legs give a shimmy and on comes the brunette. Hilary snaps Blake’s head back and buries a left into her midriff and Blake gasps in pain as she bends over. The champion clinches but she’s wincing out of the break and moving slowly. Rhoda picking around Lively’s guard and driving punches into the champion’s body to the bell and the blonde tenderly returns to her corner.
Round 4:
The fourth round starts and Rhoda drives a right into Lively’s jaw and the blonde staggers back! Hilary turns up the tempo and peppers Blake’s body with lefts and rights before she slips a hook around the blonde’s guard and the champion’s guard opens up. Hilary with a right-left combo into Blake’s face and down goes the champion! The ref starts to count and the brunette watching carefully. Blake shakes her head and get to her knees at the count of six. The champion gets herself to her feet at the count of eight and has blood from her nose trickling down her face. The ref gives Blake the mandatory and she tells him she can still fight and the ref waves Hilary back in. Rhoda smells her second title and she swings at Lively’s head. Blake’s guard takes a beating but the blonde keeps herself up and she plows leather into the bigger girl’s midriff in the final seconds of the round. Hilary wins the round on points with the knockdown.
Round 5:
Rhoda looking to finish off Lively in the champion’s first title defense but Lively smartly dances around the ring and keeps her gloves up. Rhoda with a left that sneaks through Lively’s gloves but the blonde comes back with a right into the brunette’s mouth. Hilary steps left but Blake buries a right into her midriff and drives the model up onto her toes. Hilary clinches on instinct as her eyes grow wide and is hurting when the ref pulls the two apart. Lively feints at Rhoda before sticking a right into her chest and knocks the bigger girl off her balance. Blake working in close and blonde girl drives a left into the model’s midriff and Hilary gasps from the pain but Blake is not done. The champion connects with a haymaker to Hilary’s face and puts the brunette in the ropes. The bell rings to save the challenger and Lively turns the tide of the fight in the fifth.
Round 6:
Lively surges out of her corner and she goes body early. Rhoda winces as Lively finds her tender midriff and the brunette’s not moving good as her legs become rigid. Hilary with a right into Blake’s shoulder to try and keep the blonde away but the actress takes the blow and drives a right just beneath her foe’s eye and follows up with a left hook. Hilary staggered and Blake now driving with strong punches. Rhoda’s guard crumbles and the model takes one, two, three blows to her jaw and down goes the challenger! Lively to the corner as the ref starts to count. Rhoda crawls towards the ropes and reaches for the bottom rope but she falls short. The ref’s count is at seven but Rhoda’s still crawling back towards the ropes. She grabs a hold but the ref reaches ten. Your winner and still welterweight champion Blake Lively!
After:
Lively raises her fists in victory in her first welterweight title defense while the Girls Friday staff attends to Rhoda. Blake grabs the belt and mounts the turnbuckle to pose for the crowd.
“It’s a whole new Blake at Fates!” The blonde roars to the cheers of the crowd. The actress dismounts the turnbuckle and passes by the model on the stool and acts like she was the only girl in the ring.
“This title isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.” Blake says to the press. “I know Hilary is a fan favorite but she couldn’t compete with the All American Dream Girl like me. I don’t know who is next but I know that Taylor and me will crush Emily. That is a promise.”
Rhoda shaking her head after the loss. “I had her early. I had her but she came back.” The brunette shakes her head again. “I will get my revenge on her and Fates and Kendall will help me with that stable. She hates them all.” |
