BEFORE: Odette Yustman's struggles have been well documented in the last few years but she still comes in as favorite against Krysten Ritter whose upset of Gemma Arterton at the Asylum in 2018 has been almost completely forgotten in the so called meantime. The problem for the Penn State cougar remains her woeful career record, she's only beaten veteran Jenny McCarthy elsewhere and posted a 0-2 number since joining the Queens of Absolution stable last fall. It feels like both these brunettes really need a victory tonight and it's anyone's guess who's got more to lose in case of defeat.

Round 1:
Krysten jumps into a slugging pressure wasting no time to stamp her authority on this fight. Odette uses her trademark footwork to escape the initial heat but then still eats a quick series up the middle as Ritter piles on more leather hoping to terminate that lousy cold streak of hers. She pounds Yustman back to the post and the bad habits catch up to the Lioness southpaw who lacks the aggressive edge when it matters again. Not a good look getting bounced around by a struggling cougar but Krysten just keeps racking up solid hits to bury a lacklustre Odette behind a tight earmuff to close out the round.
Round 2:
More of the same in the second, Krysten scores the easy hits simply by showing more urgency in the ring while Odette remains stuck in the lethargic hole that makes coach Claudia Schiffer verbally upset in the LCA corner. However there's little that can be fixed during the exchanges and Krysten keeps working the high-octane attack to even make that prolific Yustman defense look awfully out of sorts. Another quick tangle ends with the younger brunette hugging the ropes and Ritter slicing her on the midsection to run away with the artistic impression even if she's unable to really hurt the fellow actress. More than enough to carry the round on points though.
Rounds 3 & 4:
Odette finally wakes up to deliver the southpaw juice and drags Krysten into a back & forth punching display that brings some noise into the audience. Ritter feels confident she can outbox the younger brunette but soaks up several big punches that make her think better off it down the stretch. Odette was never the genuine power puncher so she needs to add more strikes to fully overwhelm the Queens cougar and Ritter shows enough slippery footwork to escape the worst of it alas she still gets tagged by some single-hand delivery and chalks up a loss in each round. Some loud words are exchanged with head trainer Amy Acker and it appears Krysten wants to apply more slugging pressure ASAP...
Round 5:
Odette claims the early success using Krysten's face as target practice and it's actually debatable whether the Pennsylvania cougar can sustain her aggressive plans but then she swings one to cut Yustman up before driving another double on each temple to sink the Lioness fighter into mild spasms. Ugh! Ritter shoves the briefly stunned opponent back to the ropes and clobbers extra leather on the body working on speed dial to regain the early command. She gets vocal while powering on and runs out of steam come the final minute but Odette is hurting enough to not even consider a comeback so a slow-mo blast still gives Ritter additional bonus value in the closing seconds and it's another sad story in the Lioness corner with Yustman looking like the shell of herself. Both physically and mentally...
Round 6:
Krysten flies in to smack uppercuts on Odette's chest before looping a quick overhand that neutralizes the struggling southpaw in the center of the ring. Odette can't even spin out of the zone anymore and takes another vicious blast on the jaw to slump into loud spasms moments before Ritter NAILS her with a brutal harpoon on the solar plexus to pull the plug outright... DOWN GOES ODETTE!!! A quick trip back to the canvas leaves her laid out in spread eagle fashion with eyes closed and she cannot beat the count! The horror show continues!!! KO6 Krysten Ritter!!!
AFTER: The Penn State cougar scores her first victory on Queens of Absolution duty and that might be the straw that breaks the camel's back over in the LCA household. Some pundits call it the worst defeat for incumbent Lioness since Nicole Scherzinger was knocked out by Elodie Frege in 2019 and one can only wonder how long will this ineptitude be tolerated? Odette remains one of the four LCA founding members but she last had a winning season in 2018 and there is no clear fix to her decline in sight. She turns 38 years old next month and some very difficult questions will have to be asked sooner rather than later.
