SOPHIE TURNER VS MING XI
Results: Lookout Writing: Archer
Sophie: 27 YO, 5’9 (1.75 m), 25-15-0, 25 KO since 2015, Foxfire Boxing
XI: 34 YO, 5’10 (1.78 m), 10-6-1, 10 KO since 2017 Fates Boxing.
Before: “At Foxfire we’re always looking interesting new opponents and I am all for it. Which is why I am taking on Ming Xi. She’s got a solid record, but mostly against models. I would like to see how she does against me a non-model.. I hope she does too,” explains Sophie Turner.
Xi nods agreeably: “Sophie is right, I myself would like to see how I can do against an actress. I think we models have proved we can handle them, but this will be for me. I welcome the challenge.”
Sophie Turner is 2-0-0 so far in 2023. Ming Xi is 5-1-1. FCVA Lightweight fans have much to look forward to as the pair for their showdown in the FCBA Arena ring.
Sophie is in ringed purple bikini, black gloves and boots (purple lacings) with her long hair in long raid down her back. Ming Xi in dark red bikini with matching bots and gloves. Hair is loose but wetted down. Preliminaries are smoothly done. Instructions given and accepted. Gloves tapped. Fighters to their corners. The bell rings….
R1: Sophie and Xi move quickly to the middle in lanky strides. Then they start launching probing punches to head and bodies. Sophie then moves forward with a flurry of head shots that send shudders through Ming Xi’s willowy form. Ming dropping back, trying to circle, but Sophie moving with her and now firing hard smacks into Ming’s body. Ming answering, but her counters are able to slow Sophie down. Round ends in a wide win for Sophie Turner.
R2: Ming Xi now using her better reach to score against Sophie as she tries to come in. Sopie keeps coming, but Xi’s resistance is growing and then a solid right cross/left hook to the jaw combo sends Sophie lurching back in confusion. Ming shows good follow-up as she smacks Sophie’s chin and bangs her to the nose, drawing blood. Sophie on the defensive, just trying to avoid a knockdown but she worked over hard to the body in the final minute. Ming Xi fiishes up with a round won wide of her own.
R3; Sophie trying to work her in under Xi’s long range shots, but it’s not working. XI scoring with face shots that are turning Sophie in a bruised and bloody mess. Sophie forced to drop back and no Ming Xi rolls forward and she’s really working Sophie to the body. Sophie is thoroughly worked over to breast, ribs and belly. She has to really work her jab to keep herself from being pushed into the ropes. Ming Xi finishes with bouncing blows off Sophie’s blonde head that leave the Foxfire lightweight looking unsteady after the bell. Ming Xi has won another round wide.
R4: Now Ming Xi is showing aggression from the beginning of a round. She takes the fight to Sophie Turner with solid smacks to the jaw and chin. Then she returns to the body for more pounding of the Turner torso. Then Sophie strikes back with uppercuts of her own into Xi’s chin and the Fates boxer staggers back. Sophie moves forward with a payback barrage of body punches. However Ming Xi rallies, she hooks Sophie hard to the belly to stop her advance, then scores with rights and lefts to Sophie’s head. Sophie pulls back again before counterattacking at this time she goes to the abs. Ming XI whacked hard in her belly, her willowy body bends at the waist and Sophie able bring some rising shots into Xi’s upper body. Bell sounds and Sophie Turner finds she has pulled out a close round.
R5: Sophie charging out in a clear effort to regain the offensive and she manages to evade Ming Xi’s deadly long range shots to land a booming right uppie to Xi’s chin. Xi is rattled and falls back briefly, but then starts forward aiming for Sophie belly with hooks. Sophie knocked back, but she moves forward again just as Ming Xi is doing the same. Furious exchange of head shots, but Sophie’s able to land hers with more power. Ming Xi frozen, her body trembling as the shock spreads through her body and then BOOM! Big right hand uppercut to Ming Xi’s chin. MING XI TOPPLES BACKWARDS AND SLAMS INTO THE CANVAS! As Ming Xi lies there all broken and blasted, Sophie allows herself only a quick look and then heads for the neutral corner. Referee is soon counting. Ming Xi trying to rise, pushes herself up on one arm but can’t seem to get her body to go further.
“NINE!...TEN!...OUT!” cries the referee.
THE WINNER: SOPHUE TURNER DEFEATS MING XI KO5!
After: “She was a real challenge, especially with her long range punching, it really look me a while to find a good counter for it,” Sophie Turner comments after the fight. “I was looking for an interesting new challenge and I have to say: I believe I have found one in Ming Xi”
Ming Xi understandably unhappy with result, but tell the scribes: “I am displeased with ho the fight turned out. I believe it was a fight could have one, but didn’t. My trainers and I will study the tape and see what we can do about correcting the situation.”
Fight did look winnable for either fighter, but it was Sophie Turner who was able to unch her way to victory. Although she lost, Ming Xi did look like she could be a very competitive fighter against the Lightweight Division’ non-models. Sophie Turner looks like she should be looking ahead to move up the Lightweight ranks in the coming months, one hopes this is what will happen. |
