ALEXANDRA DADDARIO VS RUBY ROSE

Alexandra: 37 YO, 5’7 (1.70), 77-48-1, 60 KOs since 2006, Foxfire Boxing

Ruby: 37 YO, 5’7 (1.79 m), 2-8-0.2 KO since 2019 Fighting Academy

Before: “I have been wanting this fight for some time,” Ruby Rose tells the press before her PPV fight with Alexandra Daddario. “She’s had a lot more fights than I have, but she seems close to my size and I feel I could beat her if I could just get her into a ring. Now I have and I look forward to proving I can beat her.”

“I am happy to oblige her, though I will admit it did take a while to make this happen. If Ruby thinks she can beat, well, she is welcome to try, but I think she’s underestimating me. The proof will be in the fighting and I expect to emerge as the winner,: said Alex D.

PPV Night sees Ruby Rose in the ring in black one piece swimsuit with matching boots and gloves (white laces), Hair short. Alexandra in royal blue one piece with white lettering FOXFIRE BOXING across the chest, white gloves and boots with royal blue laces. Her hair is pulled back in a battle braid. Referee covers the instructions in a crisp fashion. Equally crisp gloves tap. Fighters back in their corners. The bell rings.

R1: Alex and Ruby head for the center of the ring. They set up and start punching. Even exchange of punches early, but then Ruby digs in deep against Alexandra’s ribs. Alex winces in pain and swings back at Ruby to the jaw. Ruby jerks her head out of the way and the blow whistles by her ear. She strikes back with a right that connects with Alex’s jaw. Alex momentarily stunned and Ruby clips her chin with quick uppercuts. Alex retreats mitts close to her face as Ruby pounds her midsection as round comes to close. Ruby wins the first round by a wide margin.

R2: New round, both fighters to center ring and this time it is Alexandra striking first. Ruby is ducking and dodging the incoming, but then gets whacked hard to the side of the head, Ruby trying to counter with her jab, but then takes quick strikes to the jaw. Ruby covering up as Alex goes to the body with hooks She is pushing Ruby back to the ropes. Ruby trying to stand up to this, but gets slowly pushed back. She is able to stay off the ropes by the bell, but Alexandra wins round wide.

R3: Ruby on the attack this round, s soon as she can get to Alexandra she goes after Alex to the body, Big swiping hooks crisscross Alex’s torso, tearing up her ribs, abs and breasts. Alex knocked back on her heels, but then digs in and answers with body punching of her own. Alex and Ruby really going at it up close and personal, the sound of leather against wet swimsuit fabric very audible to ringsiders. Round looking very close, but the final minutes, Ruby finds Alex’s solar plexus and hammers it. Alex stumbles back gasping as Ruby surges forward. Time runs out. Judges add the numbers and Ruby Rose is close winner of the round.

R4: Alexandra and Ruby both out quickly. Ruby strikes first with right/left to the chin that knocks Alex back on her heels. However as Ruby tries to follow up Alexandra stops her with four fast hooks to the belly. Then Alexandra drives her backwards with more body punching. Ruby fighting back hard, but then takes cracking right to the jaw with a follow up left uppercut that sends Ruby into the ropes. Ruby tries to cover up but Alex’s pounding of her body pays off as Ruby’s legs suddenly buckle and deposit her onto the canvas. Alexandra to the neutral corner. Ruby struggling to rise as the referee counts, but her legs keep giving way even when she tries to use the ropes to help. She sinks down in discouragement as the referee is calling:

“SEVEN!...EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!,,,YOU ARE OUT!”

THE WINNER ALEXANDRA DADDARIO DEFEATS RUBY ROSE KO4!

After: “That was interesting, all right, I ache all over,” Alexandra Daddario admits after the fight. “She put a good fight. I had my hands full. I was glad to pull it out.:

Says Ruby Rose: “I couldn’t pull it off—this time, but I see I at least left her feeling my punching. I know I feel hers. I am moving on from this one. I looking for my next fight Hope it doesn’t take so long get it and goes better than this one did.”

Hard punching contest while it listed. Alex D’s win not exactly a surprise, but she looks tuned up and ready for whatever her next fight turns out to be. One has to admire Ruby Rose for not letting setbacks like this discourage. Hopefully, next time will be better for her.
