Before:
The welterweight title is on the line tonight with a fight between welterweight newcomers Amy Willerton and champion Blake Lively. Willerton dethroned reigning Queen of the Beach and hall of famer Kate Upton and is on a seven fight winning streak. Lively has made the shift to welterweight from lightweight at Fates and the actress found her form and has a win streak of eight and is the reigning welterweight champion. The press room buzzes as the two women enter and they start insulting the other.
“Blake is lucky she has not fought me before or I would have ended her hopes of ever being welterweight champion.” Amy says. “I am coming off the biggest win of my career and defeated a better fighter than Blake and I will knock her out and claim my first lineal title.”
“Amy is just an overrated blonde who is a flash in the pan.” Blake tells the press. “She beat Kate but a lot of girls have. I will put her in her place.”
Amy is the first girl to make her way to the ring and the challenger wears a pink bikini set and matching gloves. Blake steps out moments later with the title around her waist and the champion wears a black sports bra and matching spandex bottoms with white gloves. Lively and Willerton stare each other down before the ref hands off the title and calls for the bell for ten rounds of welterweight action for the title.
Round 1:
The two blondes charge out of their corner and both women are the same size and trade blows to start the fight. Amy feints left but Blake sees the fake and drives a blow into Amy’s chest. Lively knocks Willerton off balance and the American girl follows up with a chop to the British girl’s face. Willerton goes for the clinch but Lively drops back and sticks the Brit with another blow before the model clinches with the actress. The referee pulls the two women apart and the fight continues. Amy connects with a left to Blake’s ribs and she goes for the right follow up but Blake again shifts and connects with a blow into Amy’s body. Lively working the challenger around the ring to the bell and the champion takes the first round on points.
Round 2:
The blonde girls start out the second the same as the first and Lively again lands the first blow of the round. Blake goes for the follow up but she takes a left to her face and Amy goes on the offensive. Willerton with a right to Lively’s torso and she nearly doubles the actress over before snapping her back upright. Lively with her gloves up to block a right at her head but the model goes body and drives the champion into the ropes. Blake struggling to clinch but the champion forces the break. Willerton chasing after Lively and Blake’s jab keeps the model at a distance but Amy slips past a left in the final seconds of the round to drive another blow into Blake’s body. Amy ties the fight on points.
Round 3:
Willerton picks up where she left off and she pounds Lively in her body. Amy connects with a left into Blake’s midriff and drives her up onto her toes and the actress is quick to wrap up the younger girl. Willerton works a short left into Lively’s body from close range but the referee steps in and pulls the two girls apart. Willerton goes back to a left feint before striking Lively with a right. Willerton winds up for the left but the actress pops the model in her face and stops the Brit in her tracks. Blake with a short right and now the two girls in phone booth boxing as they pound the other girl’s ribs. Willerton younger and the model gets the better end of the trades and pounds Blake’s chest with a thumping right at the end of the round.
Round 4:
Lively gets an earful between rounds and the American girl changes her tactics to start the fourth. Blake crisp with her jabs and Amy takes a blow to her mouth to start the round. British girl drops back and plants her feet to trade back into the American girl’s body. Blake now the girl who drops back and the two women start circling. Willerton looking to press her power and she gets in close with Lively and hammers her chest but the actress finds her foe’s face and knocks her back. Lively winning the trade but Willerton shows her strength and she stays on her feet before clinching with the older woman. The younger girl keeps her distance from the break and now the older girl chases after her with blows. The bell rings before Lively can land more blows to her head and the two girls go back to their corners.
Round 5:
The two blondes show some signs of slowing down as the fight nears its halfway mark and Willerton starts the round by keeping her distance from Lively. Amy now works her jab but Blake dodges and lands a right into Amy’s chest. Lively with a left overhand but her blow flies wide as Willerton connects with a haymaker into the American’s face and opened her up underneath her eye. Lively quick on the clinch and the actress gets her break. Lively with a shot right into Willerton’s body on the restart but the younger blonde thumps the champion back with a left. Amy follows up with a right and Lively grunts as the model starts to have her way with her torso. Blake covering up and the champion struggles to drive punches into the challenger’s body. The bell rings and Amy is keeping Blake on her heels.
Round 6:
Willerton picks up where she left off and she drives a right into Lively’s red midriff but her head snaps back when Blake connects with a right haymaker into the challenger’s jaw. Amy is staggered but she gets her guard up and on comes Blake. Lively dishing back the punishment and she goes to the Brit’s ribs. Amy pivots to her left and Blake strikes a left straight into her chest and drives the challenger back into the ropes. Lively with a right into her foe’s solar plexus but somehow Willerton stays on her feet and clinches. Blake firmly in control out of the break and the connects with a left to start the fight again. Lively with a follow up right but it skips off of Willerton’s jaw and Amy reopens the actress’s face and hits her chest as time expires.
Round 7:
Lively gave it her all in the sixth and the actress looks out of gas and Willerton knows it. Amy with a smirk and she quickly works in close to Blake. Lively with her gloves up and Willerton gets to work around her guard and pounds the actress’s body. Blake driven into the ropes and the ref’s watching closely as Blake works a pair of rights back into Amy’s torso as the two girls get tangled. Lively nudges Willerton back with her shoulder and Amy connects with a booming right before Blake can hit her back! Lively butt in ropes as she clinches with the model and somehow the champion forces a break. The referee waves Amy back in and the Brit headhunts the American and swings with a left but she misses and Lively connects with a right hook that staggers her foe! Lively out of nowhere with a blow and she lands a left across her foe’s chest before the bell rings.
Round 8:
Lively willing herself out of her corner and Willerton cautious despite winning the previous round. Blake moving well and she’s jabbing and shifting and jabbing and shifting. Willerton’s movement not fluid and the model takes the punch here and there to her gloves with a pair of strikes to her face. Willerton wraps up Lively and the model is staying up from clinching with the actress. The ref again steps in for the break and Amy is already covering up. Blake stalking her foe and she feints a left at Amy’s head before driving a hard right into her solar plexus. Amy grunts and she tries to clinch again but Blake retreats before she can wrap up the actress. The model lurches forward and leaves her head exposed and Blake connects with a one-two that sends the Brit to the canvas. Blake to the corner and Amy is face down on the canvas as the ref starts to count. Willerton lifts her head up to see the ref at the count of five and she gets to all fours but she can’t beat the count. Your winner by KO8 and still welterweight champion of the FCBA Blake Lively!
After:
Lively raises her arms and shouts, “Told you so!” as she parades around the ring. Willerton tended to by her staff. Amy helped to her stool and she holds back tears losing a fight after winning the biggest fight of her career. Lively pushes her way through the trainers and grabs Willerton by her hair.
“You can’t handle me on the canvas or on the sand.” She says before letting go of the Brit’s hair and parading out of the ring.
“I knew I was better than her and I proved it.” Blake declares. “Now that she is done who is next?”
Willerton shouts as she enters the press room. “I will get my revenge. Blake is the washed up girl who pulled a good year out of nowhere.” |
