Harumi Nemoto versus Emma Glover

"Revenge, is it? Some say it is best served cold. Mayhaps she means to knock me out cold. But what do we say to defeat? Not today. Maybe the third time's the charm, but this is not the third time."

Emma Glover is confident backstage before the match, surrounded by a couple scientists of McMurdo Station, who were starved for entertainment and had pooled together all the loose change of their pockets for a sport spectacle; and the wealth of the wild bought them a ring and brought them Nemoto and Glover, the only celebrities they would see in the long night of the south. In the dim and flickering artificial light of the station, she cuts a less beautiful figure than she would under the sun or the magnesium blaze of the stage, but fair still, wide hips and a heavy bosom in blue spandex shorts and sports bra hardly fit for the weather there: even indoors it was not quite twenty degrees Celsius.

Harumi is in another room, attended by her own entourage of McMurdo folk, watching Glover go off through a telescreen. Letting the nylon armbands of her gloves snap on with a smack, she says nothing in response, sternly resolute as she adjusts the straps of her white bikini.

Nemoto is more endowed than her opponent: that is plain enough, known by all within moments of the boxers approaching the ring; so, as she climbs into the ring, Emma gazes transfixed, absentmindedly doing the same, her body hot and giddy with the thought of beating the milk out of those plump tits a second time.

But life only too often derails. Too hasty by a hair, she runs right into Harumi's opening punch and never recovers for the rest of the first round. The second went to her, much in the same way, only with the roles reversed. The third has Glover taking punches again, her old haunts utterly insufficient. Nemoto has changed, sharper and more powerful, though by common sense and all the laws of the world she should have grown weaker with age, more so than Glover herself, being the elder and smaller of the two; yet here she was, pressing her harder than ever.

Unbelievable.

Perhaps it was shock, awe, or merely a decline in skill, all her efforts could only muster a fight to a draw in the fifth and a fall in the sixth. Revenge served - Harumi wins by KO6.
