Head scratching match up of five time champion Adrianna Palicki and Amber Heard, of the sub .500 record. Heard outspoken at presser, “The plain truth is I have not always been managed right and I have not put in a position to compete at an elite level. Well that ends with this fight! I respect Palicki but I do not fear her in any way and I intend to knock her out.” Palicki never much of a talker, with the usual “glad for the opportunity” bit.

Rumors rampant of a mysterious “Pirate bounty” for the woman who flattens Amber Heard. When asked ringside, Wizard of Front Street acknowledges he’s heard the rumors, discounts them, and a bounty would not be a factor in this fight in any case. “You know it was Neve who hung that nickname on Palicki, right? ‘The Big Girl Scout’? The girl might be the biggest puncher in the FCBA but she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body - probably be better off if she did! I mean when I think about a fighter with Palciki’s hitting power and say, Gena Lee’s attitude …”

Round 1: Palicki a notoriously slow starter and Heard cautious - a lot of circling out of high guard in the first minute until Amber opens up with a left right combination that gets AP’s attention. Palicki fires back with straight right and Amber backpedals - retreat is a little too frantic - heel catches and she stumbles into ropes. Lanky blonde on her and lashing body with hooks from both sides, occasional straight shot to the sternum. Heard looks to clinch but hard to control Palicki’s lanky strength. Heard spends balance of round in retreat, drawing some boos from crowd and Palciki takes the first round.

Rounds 2-5: Amber Heard stuns FCBA by putting on a boxing clinic. Redhead showing surprising speed and poise after near panic of the first round. She is in and out, doing damage and not waiting for the receipts. Palicki frustrated and starts reaching … looking to turn the tide with power alone …. Mcgee in corner screaming for combinations! In the third round, Amber slips a straight right, erupts out of crouch with a left hook flush to the jaw … and sits the big blonde down! Amber heard throws hands up in triumph and crowd roars. Smell of upset in the air! Palciki cable to right the ship and take the fourth but amber storming back to take the fifth. At the bell, she chests up and jawing into Adrianne’s ear, which draws a two handed push form the former champ. Referee between fighters quickly as they threaten to fight through the break!

Between rounds, Cassie Scerbo to the Wizard, “Man, Heard is just dominating, eh Uncle Wiz?”

Wizard, sipping on PBR, “Yup”

“This she’s gonna pull this one off?”

“Nope”

Round 6” Amber Heard, flashing hand and foot speed, and making a lot of believers out there - just befuddling the lanky blonde. Maybe she HAS just been mishandled this far into her career?

Begins to taunt … dropping hand to sides … sticking chin out and then snaking head out of harem’s way … bolo punch … Scrubby McGee croaking from corner, “Now, Addie!” ... AND HEARD GOES DOWN!!! That Hammer of Thor right just explodes on Heard’s chin and ends her night … blasted to her back … whiplash of head on canvas … no count by the referee … just getting the mouthpiece out as corner rushes in to tend to insensate Heard. Palicki to corner to check on Amber - still so out of it she asks corner “Who was that?”

At ringside, Tess Walmart looks over her shoulder form press row and laughs to Cassie Scerbo, “Sure some call her “The Big Girl Scout” … but THAT is why they call her “The Chin Checker!”
