Bella Thorne
(25, 5’8, 57:21 FCBA, The Dollhouse) Vs. Troian Bellisario (37, 5’7, 41:32 FCBA, Pretty Little Punchers)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse
BEFORE: Despite a respectable attempt from Bella Thorn recently to seize the Bantamweight golden belt from champion Kira Kosarin, the Doll has had quite the respectable year thus far, having defeated Alyssa Lynch in her latest outing and boasting significant wins over the likes of Nina Dobrev and Samara Weaving since the start of the year.
"Troian has always been up there in the rankings but somehow me and her kept missing each other…” Bella says first from the press table, with a sly smile and admission. “She's one of the rare ones I never fought before and I decided to do something about it this month. She's good but she's not Bella Thorne good. I'm glad I'll finally get the chance to add her to my long ass list of victims tonight,” Thorne says, before smirking at the assembled press hall.
Bellisario, on the other hand, has left the pundits and bookers scratching their heads. She’s come off a recent, impressive win over former Bantamweight champion Elisabeth Olsen, but this was also after she fell to the Queens’ Elyse Levesque back in January. Will her rollercoaster luck continue, or will she be able to maintain it tonight against a dangerous opponent like Thorne?
“Bella along with all her Dollhouse friends loves to talk sh*t…until it comes back to bite their ass.” Bellisario responds from across the press table, her own daring smirk etched on her face. “I’m nobody’s victim, especially not yours hon. There’s a REASON we’ve never crossed gloves before: Bella’s been scared shitless, that’s why. Isn’t that right, Bells? And for good reason if you ask me. I just beat Liz Olsen 2 months ago, going Olsen-Thorne would be pretty f*cking incredible if you ask me.”
Those words don’t sit well with Bella at all, who can be heard rolling her eyes from across the room and immediately letting out a scoff, indicating she might have a slightly different version of this narrative of events. And when the two ladies square off moments later on stage for the official stare down and photo op, the officials are already on high alert, wondering if Thorne might respond to Troian’s comments the way she sometimes does.
“Scared shitless…?” Bella chuckles right into Troian’s face. “Please b*tch….I’m the one who issued the challenge. You’re here because I WANTED your old ass here. You’re here because I wanted to BEAT your old ass.”
Troian only response is a confident stare into Bella’s eyes, a huge smirk on her face as she knows she managed to get under the young Dollhouse star’s skin.
The ring officials have to swiftly pry the two fighters apart before things escalate further here, isolating them at opposite corners of the room for the remainder of the press junket.
Hours later, both ladies are ROARING to go in opposite corners of the ring! The arena lets out a shout of approval as Bella Thorne is introduced by the ring announcer first, the Doll wearing her usual red bikini top and black ankle-length tights, red gloves, her red hair in a messy ponytail. Troian, meanwhile, has gone for a black sports bra top and white and silver boxing trunks, her own legion of fans and supporters making their presence known with a loud series of chants from the rafters.
There’s of course NO shake of the hands nor bump of the gloves for this contest, and the referee merely signals for the bell to get things started officially! HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!
ROUND 1: That cocky smirk is still on Bella’s face as the bell rings for the opening round, that recent loss to the champ having done little to dampen her spirits. The Dollhouse corner echoes their fighter’s confidence, with Carmen Electra herself offering some words of encourage before the bell and then audibly smirking, telling Thorne to “have some fun and kick some ass.” Troian, of course, would have plenty to say about that commandment, striding inwards with caution in the first few seconds but then immediately tossing a big right overhand that connects with Bella’s face! What the f*ck just happened there!? Bella had her guard hung too loose and casual, we think, having defended herself more with those slick weaves and overconfident head movements, her hands not punching back just yet, wanting to make a firm statement that her opponent ain’t in the same league as her! Well, Troian Bellisario’s the one marching her down now, the roar of the crowd at her back, as she jabs away at Bella’s head and chin, forcing the Doll to suddenly cover up from the onslaught, before taking more pot shots at her belly and ribs! Bellisario walks her down for almost the next two minutes, and the stunned Thorne ain’t looking so hot towards the end of the first round, wincing as her head gets snapped back by another combo, the older Bellisario still with plenty of bite in those seasoned hands of hers! Sound of the bell and Bella’s corner looks equally shocked when the redhead stumbles back, breathing hard and cursing under her breath. Minor setback, according to the top brass, though from our perspective, Thorne's cockiness might well prove her downfall if she doesn’t open her eyes to the reality of the situation…
ROUND 2: Ladies CLASH in the center of the ring, Thorne this time moving in with an even greater no-holds barred assuredness that her opponent can’t keep up with her youthful energy for too long. Troian defies the odds, however, meeting her blow for blow in the opening seconds, just ramming her fist back into clasped forearms, then going south to batter the Doll’s tummy in the hopes of driving her stamina down and early. Bella, of course, not having it, blocking and weaving best she can, and after that last scare of the first round wanting to make a clear statement that she ain’t someone to be bullied. But each of her power hooks is either blocked or avoided, Bellisario still remaining nimble on her feet despite being over a decade older than her foe. Only in the second half does the action slow down, Troian quickly running out of stream as she decides to fall back on her jab hands, but not without taking several stiff shots to her chin and cheek on the retreat vector. Bella’s confidence is already growing back to the previous round’s levels, walking the PLP girl across the ring and suddenly, wanting it all: her fists slam into Troian’s tummy and chest just as the bell rings, drawing a painful grunt and lurch in her throat after getting bent over briefly. But the referee soon signals for the bell, leaving the Doll with the slight edge this time. It’s not the rout that Thorne wanted, but it’s a good start!
ROUND 3: More resistance from Bellisario, however, who just refuses to cede the canvas without first making Bella pay for each of her advances! Thorne being Thorne once again, moving in with intent with left and right slips of the head, trying to throw feints to Bellisario’s before tagging her on the stomach or shoulders with a follow-up hook. When her punches do land, however, we notice her power first-hand, as Troian winces or is forced to back up a couple of steps, leaving Bella gloating and gesturing rudely towards her by the middle mark, with the hot mics catching the Doll’s taunt: “What’s the matter? Troian? Who the f*ck’s running scared now, huh?!” to which Troian simply narrows her brows and keeps moving. Last minute and Bella again gets cocky, storming in fast after rocking Bellisario with a left hand high to the temple, another glove driven into her ribs to draw out the gasp. But Troian simply responds with an agile slip and weave of her own, with Bella’s follow-up hook missing her chin entirely. Then BLAM! The PLP brunette stuns her back with a shot across her face, turning Bella’s strategy inside out! Thankfully, the bell rings before either girl can capitalise, but if Bella was still thinking she was in for an easy ride to the finish line, she’s forced to cede the round yet again by a close margin!
ROUND 4: Enough of Little Miss Nice Girl, according to Thorne, who has changed her tune from the previous rounds. First minute sees a more cautious start from either corner, with both Bella and Troian circling and jabbing from a safe distance, neither willing to storm in and make the first mistake. It’s an even draw on the scoreboards so far, with the punches coming in fast but infrequent, as both competitors land their fair share of combos to the face and body before taking the same punishment in return. In the third minute, it’s Troian who grows impatient, growling as she parries another overhand from Thorne before wanting to score her own big payday on the redhead’s face. But Thorne's ready for her this time, instinctively covering up and absorbing the counterattack with locked arms, before countering the counter with a hook of her own that snaps Troian’s head to the side! OUCH! Bellisario just got played at her own game, now the one being forced to cover up and retreat, as more jabs fly in towards her head! Bella’s taking it slow this time, respecting her opponent as potentially dangerous, and as a result, wins the best round of the fight thus far! She’s got a lot of ground to cover if she wants to even out the scoreboards, however!
ROUND 5: Troian still rubbing her nose as she stands up and marches out of her own corner, fully intent on some payback. The 37-year-old has shown surprising resilience over the past few years, holding her own against some of the best in the business, and looking to prove herself tonight with a much-needed win over one of the most dangerous Bantamweight fighters in the division. She handles Bella’s fists well enough as they fly in, blocking with her guard and moving with her feet, forcing Bella to make up with her own speed and expended energy. It’s a common strategy employed by those who are more ‘old-school’ in the business, and whether or not Thorne realises what’s happening is debatable at this point. That question comes to bear in the second minute, however, when Bella succeeds in rocking a low lunge to the brunette’s tummy, letting out a shout of triumph as her fist connects squarely with Troian’s belly button, and momentarily dazzling her on the spot. But a step-in swing to Troian’s head once again MISSES, with Troian suddenly swerving downwards and to the side, before blasting the Doll’s head up into the sky with a nasty return uppercut! Good Lord! Bella can’t catch a break, can she?? And it’s Miss Bellisario who continues to shine! It’s a one-sided BEATDOWN for the PLP starlet, who capitalises on Bella’s stunned status to just HAMMER her across the ring and back, driving those fists in, over and over and over again, not caring where or what she hits as long as Thorne is the one left grunting and forced to cover up! To Bella’s credit, she manages to not go down, but there were indeed several scares along the way after getting herself backed up against the ropes and forced to take several blasts to her waistline. At the bell, it’s a shutout performance for Bellisario, a rare case indeed in this competitive league. But the important thing to note is that both girls are still standing!
ROUND 6: It’s Troian’s turn to act all cocky in between rounds, strutting about in her corner and making rude gestures towards the Doll’s. That smirk has now moved over to her face, much to the detriment and consternation of Miss Thorne. Sound of the bell and she still has another five rounds to turn things around, if she can. And if there’s one thing Bella is, is adaptable. She blocks an early rush from Bellisario, the latter storming forward early, intending to take her out and make a KO6 statement, but finds resistance in the form of firm arms that are locked over Bella’s head, with Bella refusing to be surprised again in this fight. Troian is visibly slowing down after her mad dash to the finish line, her fists sailing in with more weight and less precision, allowing Bella to either avoid them completely or begin to hammer her own back, a nasty hook driven across Bellisario’s face at the end of the first minute to put her foe on high notice. Bellisario finds her momentum and lead slowly evaporating, especially after she takes another short-ranged drubbing to the side of her chin, which almost sends her reeling off balance! AND HERE THORNE COMES, making up for loss time, surely, the Doll WALKING her adversary down with a steady flow of punches, pestering her over and over to her forehead, before going south with more hooks and swings! And suddenly, Troian AIN’T looking too hot any longer, her mouth hanging ajar and body hunched over, getting walked back towards the ropes! Thorne stays methodical, pressuring her with purpose, not wanting to jump the gun and give her opponent another chance at a counterstroke. Her jab combos concentrate on the head to keep Bellisario’s guard up, but those arms are wavering bit by bit, till late hooks come sailing in to rattle Troian to her core! The PLP girl lets out a shout and grunt after taking a brutal cross to the kisser, which BLOWS her head backwards, and the rest of her body off its feet! DOWN SHE GOES, hitting the canvas on her back, left spreadeagled and staring up at the lights! The referee immediately slides in to start the count, but knows a lost cause when he sees one! Troian can barely lift her head off the canvas, her arms and legs making zero attempts to get back up either! THAT’S IT! He’s waving his hands in the air and signaling for the medical personnel, and with that, Bellisario’s chances along with it! This fight is OVER via FLASH KO!
Official Result: Bella Thorne defeats Troian Bellisario via KO6!
AFTER: That smile and grin returns to her face, with Bella Thorne throwing tired arms into the air, before pushing off from the neutral corner. Away from the cameras, her celebration is a little more muted, with Troian certainly having pushed her to the brink tonight and for several moments in the ring, even managed to put some fear into the Dollhouse superstar.
But just a couple more glances over towards Bellisario’s corner, and that famed cockiness is back and bright on the Doll’s face, as Bella lets out a roar to each corner of the ring, beating her chest and sticking out her tongue to the crowds in a show of reestablished dominance.
Meanwhile, poor Bellisario has to be helped back to her corner and stool, looking completely slack-jawed, with her eyelids still fluttering in the wind. No one can deny that it was one hell of a valiant effort for the PLP starlet, but unfortunately, there aren’t any medals in this sport for second place.
Thorne herself knows this fact full well, wanting to drive it home even further when she saunters over to Troian’s corner in the aftermath, enjoying the brunette’s whimpers and groans after seizing her by the hair and hauling her up to her dazed feet, before almost immediately whipping her spent frame off them, sending Troian flying down to the middle of the ring with a CRASH and flop.
Thorne then poses over her former foe, one of her black boots unceremoniously planted into her swelling cheek, before she flexes her biceps and sticks out her tongue one last time for the show. Beneath her, Troian merely shakes her head from side to side, pain radiating through her entire body, but powerless to do anything but wait till the torture is over.
Later, Bella speaks to reporters on her way out of the arena. “Yes I like talking sh*t….Troian’s problem tonight was that I can also back everything I say up in the ring. I’m not gonna say she was an easy win or anything… she’s f*cking good, she has tons of experience… but she’s too f*cking old to hang with me. Evidently.” Bella chuckles, before turning away to continue her victory march out, high fiving and taking selfies with the lucky few among the massive amounts of fan she has amassed throughout her incredible 7 year boxing career, with hopefully many more years to come!. |
