BEFORE: It's time for a special birthday celebration as Cheryl Cole turns forty years old today and the festives include a high-profile boxing clash versus the notorious Miley Cyrus. Sparks are destined to fly one way or another between these two singers which met three times in the ring before. MIley took the first two bouts before Cheryl came back with a win on the International Cup but it's all to play for on the PPV again. Both women promise to seek a KO of the Night bonus and given their aggressive, no-nonsense approach this could actually happen!
Cheryl Cole wears a leopard print bikini top, micro jeans shorts & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a half-up ponytail. Miley Cyrus wears a white bikini set & black gloves. Long dyed blonde hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Trademark slugging challenge from Cheryl who takes off with a head of steam and forces Miley to accept the high-risk, high-reward action which triggers a proper war of attrition in the center of the ring. The birthday girl drives her mitts into the blonde's face with authority but also leaks a couple of nasty hangers as Cyrus comes back to bite them Geordie singer. The crowd gets behind all the slugging action without a designated favorite but it's Cole who secures the better revenue when she nails Miley across the nose and drops her onto her heels come the final minute. Another one-two series finds the temples and flushes the blonde out of the zone so Chezza carries the round on points with room to spare.
Round 2:
Another feisty start from Cheryl but she finds the blonde's guard too stubborn to crack this time and gets sucked into a back & forth head-hunting challenge thereafter. It's not the worst news for the Geordie veteran but Miley also likes to smack a genuine slugging drill and she's able to sell her stock with impressive precision when Cole struggles to own the superior production. There's no physical damage to worry about but Cyrus wins the battle by the numbers and clobbers the birthday girl onto the ropes where she muscles her into an earmuff cover before slicing the exposed midriff with a harpoon series in the closing few seconds of the round.
Round 3:
Cheryl comes back to smack more leather up the middle and this time she dominates the head-hunting exchange pouring crisp leather in gung-ho fashion until she breaks Cyrus down and forces her to apply the chaotic retreat mode. Woof. You don't often see that happen even though Miley's record is what it is, she usually likes a proper scrap out there but a couple of nasty lumps on each cheek indicate she's taking a prime beating here against the birthday veteran. More slugging prowess from Cole follows, she stalks the blonde around the ring and taunts her to respond in equally aggressive manner. Miley takes the bait but then gets pounded with more aerial bombs and slumps into quiet spasms behind a tight earmuff come the bell. Ugh! No wonder she gives the Geordie singer a lenghty bytch stare during the interval.
Round 4:
Miley runs up the score with some heavy striking and she still shows enough determination to match the brunette's intensity. Cheryl doesn't back off whatsoever and hopes to break the American down alltogether which triggers another slugging battle of attrition in the center of the ring but this time Cole takes the worst hits in the process especially after a hard one-two on the nose leaves her leaking blood much to the crowd's surprise. Even Cyrus didn't see that damage coming but she rips immediate follow up effort and hoofs the Brit's guard aside before thumping more shots on the exposed midriff that drops Cheryl into all kinds of bother. She gets shoved out of a clinch and soaks up an uppercut rally on the chest that grinds her into a halt on the ropes before another series drills her solar plexus and FORCES HER TO TAKE A KNEE just to run out the clock before Miley truly blows her up for good! What a shock! Cheryl stays down on one knee until the right count and the clock duly expires before Miley can do more damage but it's all about to go down in the fifth according to Erin Andrews in the booth!
Round 5:
Miley thinks she can finish the birthday girl off now but Cheryl isn't quite hurting as much after all and ducks underneath the aerial challenge to slam immediate response into the blonde's midsection. She works that route until she forces Cyrus to tweak her stance but still moves high to clip her on the chin before a booming left hand cuts the blonde around the eye and makes her scream out in pain. Miley refuses to back off to reload her tactics and jumps into a heavy slugging drill again but gets picked off by the Geordie veteran and suddenly leaks more blood from her nose as well. Uh-oh! Cole drives in more brutal punches and stuns the American into another yelping disarray; she then climbs up the ladder to shatter the exposed jaw and sink the fellow singer on jelly knees... one drilling hook on the eye pulls the Cyrus plug outright and the menacing American SLIDES DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE with a loud whimper before crashing down on her back with eyes closed. Uh-oh!!! That might actually do it... and it does as Miley remains unresponsive during the slow-ish count!!! Happy 40th birthday in KO5 fashion for Cheryl Cole!!!
AFTER: It was never a straight-forward idea to pick Miley Cyrus for another of these fights but Cheryl celebrates her 40th by pulling back to two-all on the head-to-head charts. And they should meet again... Meanwhile it's all smiles for the Geordie stunner who points to the blood on her gloves as perfect example why she proved to be the superior woman tonight. Forget the brief hiccup in the fourth, Miley can punch hard but her overall record remains a mystery several managers have been unable to figure out before. Cheryl cracked the code again and vows to show up for the Crossover PPV next month as well: "I don't need to take extra recovery time. I'll be ready to smash some of these Yankee bytches so just let me check the rankings to see who fits my demand the most!" (winks).
