BEFORE
Christine is at the podium. Charlize prefers to stay in her dressing room until the last minute and then go straight to the ring. She doesn’t want to say anything accidentally inflammatory. Christine has the mic. I always wanted to fight Charlize. She’s an icon. She’s the greatest. There is really no risk in fighting her. If you lose, well you are supposed to. If you win, it’s huge. What some of my predecessors have shot their mouth off saying how they were going to knock her out or even worse, end her career is totally stupid. Some have said they are going to to the best they can and that is what I am saying. I want to win this fight and I am going to do my best to win

In her dressing room Charlize tell Neve, Cassandra Lynn and Margot.”Let’s go. I hope you all are ready. This is going to be a tough fight. I’m depending on you to keep me in the fight

THE FIGHT

Christine is in a gold colored bikini with black gloves and boots. Her hair is shoulder length. If you have seen Charlize’s fighting attire once, you seen it all. She is in the red bikini with red gloves and boots, her hair in a pony tail. The two meet in the center of the ring for the instructions that Charlize has now heard 457 times. The two exchange pleasantries and touch gloves and return to their corners.

Round 1. Christine’s plan is to take the fight to Charlize and put her on the defensive. Charlize heads to the center of the ring planning on using that right Jab to open in the fight. Instead she takes a right in the face. Then another and another. Charlize finds she has been driven to the ropes, exactly where she doesn’t want to be. She lands a right to Christine’s head but Christine pays her back with a right-left to the midsection. Christine back with a combination to Therons bra. She hears Theron’s moan of pain and get ready to go back to the head when an overhand right from Chalize knocks her back a few steps and the blonde get off the ropes and quickly moves the center of the ring where she can use those famous legs. Christine is no slow slouch herself and is right with Charlize. Charlize lands an overhand let to the forehead, while Christine feeds a right cross to Charlize’s right ear. Christine believes a couple more of those hard rights to the ear will have Charlize ready to go, but she has to land them. Charlize is well aware that more to that ear and she will have trouble with balance. Charlize quickly raises her gloves to protect her ear and Christine accepts the invitation and starts ripping punches to the blonde’s midsection. Once again, she is driving Charlize back to the ropes, but the bell sounds calling a halt to the round. Theron get to her corner and Upton has a few kind words. “You stunk that round up. You letting her get the advantage. She gave you a good beating that round. I don’t think you will survive another. You want to lose to a brunette. No?

Round 2. Both fighters are quickly out of their corners. Charlize feigns a right jab and lands a left to the body. A Christine right cross barely misses Charlize’s chin, as Charlize is punching away at the brunette’s body. Finally a right hook to the chin, then a left and another right forces Charlize to break it off. Charlize is on the move, looking for an opening. Charlize suddenly closes with a left cross to the jaw, then a right and another left. She has Christine on the ropes and goes to the body. One punch after another sinks into Christine’s midsection. She doesn’t have punching room. Finally she get her gloves on the blonde’s shoulders and gives her a shove that causes Charlize to lose some balance and move back to the center of the ring. Christine is off the ropes. She moves in on the blonde. but Theron has regained her footing and the two exchange crosses and break off. Once again they close and start exchanging punches. Theron is getting the best of it. She’s sending the brunette back to the ropes as the round ends. In Theron’s corner Kate is telling Charlize “that was much better. I think it is time you use that power you have left”. In Christine’s corner, they are telling her to stay away from the ropes. Stay near the center where you can maneuver’

Round 3. They come out of their corner circling. Christine doesn’t want to immediately engage. The two are watching each other to make the first move. Finally, It’s Charlize who closes with that right jab and then two more. Christine takes the jabs and lands a cross to Theron’s left ear.

Charlize shakes it off and moves in to go toe to toe, but that is not what Christine wants so she backs off. Charlize is trying to engage and finally Christine is there and the two start exchanging lefts and rights to the head. Once again Charlize is getting the better of it and Christine bails.Theron is now stalking. She wants to engage in a slugging brawl. She isn’t going to get it as Christine stays at a distance and pegs away with nuisance punches that don’t hurt the blonde, but do add points. Suddenly the blonde is in close and staggers the brunette with a right hook. Christine knows she is in trouble so she managed an overhand right to Theron forehead and then a left-right to the bra that stops Theron’s onslaught, Christine fights her way back into the center of the ring only to have her legs buckled by another right hook, but the round ends before the blonde can follow up. In Charlizes corner Kate is telling Charlize that She has Christine ready to and that is just where Charlize wants her. That Charlize has a big edge in power by reputation, but she has never seen Christine fight. In Christine’s corner they are advising not to get into a power punching contest right now. She may have to later but now is not the time

Round 4. Charlize is out of her corner ready to engage big time. Christine doesn’t want that just now, but Charlize is moving on the offense and Christine knows that Charlize is cutting down the ring wanting to get her in a corner. She has no choice but to attack and quickly moves in surprising the blonde with one of those overhand rights that she has been using. Chalize takes it and lands right hook to the jaw and a left to the body. The crowd comes to it feet and the two are slugging in earnest. The brunette lands a pair of straight punches to the blonde’s chest. She sees pain in the blonde’s eyes and power two more into her chest. She know she has Charlize hurt and drives her into the ropes. She rips a right cross to Theron’s jaw, then a left and a right. She punching Charlize’s head one way then the other. The referee is watching Theron closely. Suddenly the blonde comes up with a right uppercut that staggers Christine. Charlize is off the ropes and lands another uppercut to Christine’s head. Once again the brunette catches Theron with another right to the ear that has Charlize swaying as the round ends. In Theron’s corner the Nascar corner goes to work getting their battered charge ready for the next round. Upton tells Charlize that she has Christine wanting to slug. Don’t let her take charge. You can end it, so go out there and go it. Make me proud. Remember our fight coming up. I don’t fight losers. In Bleakley’s corner, they are advising she is getting the better of her opponent, but don’t get careless.

Round 5. At the bell, both leave their corners with there eyes glued on each other. They sense that this may be it. The two don’t hesitate. They go straight at each other and start exchanging punches. Heads are turned, chests are battered. Midsections are harmed. Christine’s legs are buckled, but as Charlize follows up she is staggered by a right upside that head. Charlize manages to avoid going down and flings herself at the brunette. They are brutalizing each other. They are just slugging toe to toe when Christine goes down. A right hook to her chin dropped her. Charlize staggers to a corner while the referee starts the count. Christine rolls over and with great effort get to her hands and knees at seven, but can’t get any further as the count passes ten. Charlize staggers to her corner and fall into the arms of Upton who puts her on her stool as Neve breaks some ammonia capsules. Charlize won. She needs to walk out. In Christine’s corner is much the same. She is going to walk out also

AFTER. Charlize and Christine are sitting next to each other at the press table Neither look their best and would have liked to pass the after fight press appearance

Charlize. “I have to tell you that Christine is the real thing. She fights like a thirty year old. The fourth and fifth rounds could have gone either way. I think I was lucky that it went my way but it well could have ended with Christine standing over me as I was counted out.”

Christine: I knew what I was going to face when I accepted this bout. I watched a lot of film of her fighting. I was impressed by the way she can move, how she can hit with power and most importantly the amount of punishment she can take. I agree with Charlize, the fourth and fifth rounds could have gone either way, but Charlize was the winner. She wasn’t lucky. She is still just that good. It was exciting to fight her. If only I could have won. Now I have to catch a flight back to London, so for both of us, I bid you goodnight
