BEFORE:
There’s a certain unease in the air as Emma Roberts and Chrissy Constanza make their way into the press hall, a clear contrast of styles for the upcoming clash. Roberts is of course the veteran Dollhouse fighter with tons of fights and rivalries under her belt, a storied career in the ring thus far, and Constanza is… well… just stepping into the ring for the second time in her life.

The only difference between this fight and all the other times a rookie has squared off against a veteran Doll, however, is that Miss Constanza recently made her debut against the former Flyweight champion herself, Millie Bobby Brown… and managed to beat her.

Roberts acknowledges this feat as much as her pride allows her to in her opening statement, rolling her eyes at the huge pop off from the assembled crowd for Constanza, before grabbing the microphone later when asked for her comments by yet another gushing member of the press.

"Chrissy just beat Millie Bobby Brown on her freaking debut...that's pathetic…” Emma starts with a more-than-dismissive tone. “I knew that girl was overrated from the moment she joined this league and she just got exposed by a complete newbie. Well, the party’s over dear Chrissy. Welcome to your first REAL FCBA fight. You're not winning this one hon. I'm going to make her look like the newbie she is in there tonight."

Constanza must have been getting plenty of hard pats on the back after her successful debut, especially against such an accomplished fighter in Bobby Brown. All those compliments must have gotten to her head, because she’s soaking it all in when she first entered the press hall earlier, smiling and waving at the cheers of the crowd, before acting all dismissive when it comes to her turn at a response.

“Well, you know, that’s kinda what Millie said before we fought,” Chrissy says with a smile. “We all know how that turned out for her...” Chrissy chuckles. “We all know you’ve got a big mouth Emma…both figuratively AND literally…” The rookie teases. “Let’s see how well you can back it up against the best “newbie” you’ve ever fought!”.

Ladies square off at the podium, and besides the age and experience differentials, both Americans look the same height and build. Roberts is still showing ZERO respect for Chrissy even when they come face-to-face, not bothering to meet her eye-to-eye, and instead continuing to stoke the flames of war with several pointed threats of f*cking her up later in the ring, and it being high time Constanza faced a ‘real’ fighter - namely, herself.

Hours later, we’re back in the arena and ready to go for ten rounds of Flyweight action! In one corner of the ring, The ‘Ice Queen’ Emma Roberts dressed in her trademark pink sports bra and long fighting white tights, blonde hair in a tight ponytail, giving her white gloves a kiss and then blowing it in Chrissy’s direction for extra provocation. In the opposite corner, Chrissy looking confident and determined despite this only being her second fight. The singer is dressed in red sports bra and black boxing trunks, black gloves, her dark hair braided.

The referee signals for the bell, and HERE WE GO!

ROUND 1:
A Highly aggressive start for Roberts in keeping with her framing of wanting to put a complete newbie away as fast as possible. As far as Roberts is concerned, Chrissy’s win against Millie doesn’t count one bit for sh*t, and she’s treating her as such, rocking inwards with both gloves up and immediately lighting up her guard with fierce combinations, wanting to put her foe away in record time. First minute and Chrissy actually deals with the pressure super well, anticipating Emma’s attacks coming a mile away, before plowing her own leather back into the Doll’s face, frustrating her to no end. Most of the pundits were definitely expecting Emma to have dominated from the very start, or at least see Chrissy turtle up and bide her time. But the American singer ain’t f*cking around either, confidently driving that right hand back into Emma’s face in stiff counter-attacks, another cross banging right between the eyes to send the Dollhouse blonde staggering backwards with a grunt. The more angry you make Emma, however, the more unhinged she’s known to get, and perhaps that’s the strategy going forward from Chrissy’s corner, as those targeted strikes begin to add up to a solid opening round for the rookie, despite Emma’s best efforts to put the newbie away. Bell rings and the more interesting story is how Roberts reacts, cursing and swearing on her way back to her corner, the Doll clearly having wanted to KO the newbie, but not just having failed to do so, but had her face punched in a couple of times.

ROUND 2:
Always interesting in seeing a veteran fighter go up against someone newer on the shelf, and from the way Roberts is piling even more pressure on in the second, it’s clear she sees this as a personal challenge to knock Chrissy out as fast as she can, rather than paying attention to being in any real danger of losing this fight. Chrissy for the most part is acting her role, a more defensive feeling out of Roberts as she defends against multiple combos to her arms and body, and even more aggression piled on from Roberts, with the pundits already expressing their high regard for Constanza dealing with the Doll’s more powerful (and unpredictable) overhands aimed high for her chin, with Constanza clearly having done her homework and either weaving back in anticipation or blocking way in advance to absorb. Roberts fights fire with even more fire, succeeding in grazing the American singer with some stray hooks to her body and tougher dings up high, aiming for that KO blow to the chin. Chrissy still has room to work on for her footwork, but at least she has the good sense to keep her arms up and defend herself. At the bell, Roberts has done just enough to win her first round, though we can tell from that fierce expression that it STILL doesn’t match up to her own expectations. She fully expected Chrissy to be flat on her back by this point in time, and anything other than that outcome will just not do for the Doll...

ROUND 3:
How long will this disrespect last, the pundits are asking themselves, as Emma rushes Chrissy down for the third round straight, betting the farm on the newcomer just not cut out for her style of aggression. Perhaps that’s how and why Bobby Brown lost her own fight, and anyone who’s been in the ring long enough knows that half the battle in the ring is won via the psychological aspect. SURELY Chrissy’s greenness in the ring means she’s more susceptible to Emma’s pressure? Well, that right overhand smacking straight into the Doll’s face says otherwise, the American songstress having backed away and absorbed Roberts’ many attacks in the opening seconds, before ripping that return hand straight in and over her defenses. Emma’s face was still scowling in rage when the punch made landfall, and then those follow-ups blows to her chin and cheek are certainly not making her feel any better! Constanza’s corner is UP ON THEIR FEET as their fighter looks to make another upset-of-the-year in the making, marching Roberts right back across the ring and battering away at her arms and body, another occasional shock up high to the forehead to send the clear message that perhaps Roberts shouldn’t have underestimated her from the start! Emma has no choice but to cover up and scramble, as much as she hates herself to be seen retreating! But the Doll falls back on her training and survives the onslaught, left breathing hard by the time the bell rings, and looking even angrier than before. Things are NOT going well for her, and she knows it!

ROUND 4:
It takes a Carmen Electra lecture between rounds for Emma Roberts to wake her idea up, the double whammy of both losing out on points and then getting a scolding from her boss certainly doing wonders for her psychological state. Roberts is seen just seething on her stool, red-faced and eyes trained on Chrissy in the other corner of the ring. She knows she’s being made a fool of by the rest of the league and assembled crowds, and the reality of actually, maybe losing to this greenhorn might very well make or break her future prospects. The bell rings and at least there’s a slight change in her approach, Emma not making a beeline for Constanza any longer and instead taking measured steps forward, then jabbing at her head with precise lefts and rights. Chrissy for the most part doesn’t know how to respond, at least from the sudden switch in her foe’s strategy. She dances about the Doll’s jabs, mostly blocking them, then trying to respond with her own. But Emma’s time in the ring means she’s more easily able to anticipate and intercept the rookie’s attacks, and by the last minute, Roberts has clearly gained the upper hand, squeezing another combination clean into the American’s face, forcing a grunt and stagger from Chrissy. It’s not the flashiest victory for the Doll at the bell, but at least she cannot deny that being methodical here in the fourth has worked more effectively…

ROUND 5:
More of the same, with the first minute being almost devoid of action, with both ladies seen circling and dancing, and only occasionally throwing jabs towards each other’s heads. It’s one hell of a different show, with most fights having their action slowly rising from the first round, and then reaching a crescendo by the middle mark. Here, we have the opposite, with Emma’s explosive aggression in the opening rounds now having mellowed significantly, allowing her to rock more precise punches into Constanza’s face, and much more often, then slowly beginning to mix in those more deadly hooks and overhand swings. She scores another double hook combo at the end of the first minute to see Chrissy stumbling back, clutching at her stomach in pain. And here Roberts comes, a slow tightening of the noose instead of trying to lasso her prey in one fell swoop earlier. She beats Constanza back to the ropes with slow, deliberate, thumping shots, alternating her hooks low and high, low and high, keeping the newbie guessing... Chrissy gets NAILED by another feint-right combo between the eyes, which snaps her head back and sends her careening into the ropes… Emma JUMPS in and BLASTS her again across the face, that right hook a long time in the waiting as Chrissy gets SWUNG off her feet, before hitting the canvas with a loud THUD! It’s the first KNOCKDOWN of the fight for Emma Roberts, whose patience finally pays off!

NOW Roberts allows herself to celebrate, letting out a huge roar and circling back to the neutral corner, beating her chest along the way. Chrissy, meanwhile, is struggling to register how she has ended up on the floorboards, both eyes wide and mouth hanging open as she tugs on the nearby ropes, trying to pull herself up and hopefully recover. It’s the first real challenge to her invincibility, and a rude wake-up call for the rookie, as the referee hovers over her stunned form and starts counting out digits.

Emma smirks at her from the neutral corner, tummy breathing in and out, fists draped over the ropes on either side, just daring Chrissy to test her again. Now that she’s gotten a good read on what Chrissy can and cannot do, she’s back to brimming with confidence. And if Constanza had called it quits right here and now, we think no one in the crowd would blame the newbie. But she shows off her own defiant fighting spirit, rising back to her feet and steadying herself against the ropes by the count of 8!

There’s still two minutes left on the clock, however, and the referee is already up in her face, shouting questions at her, asking if she really wants to continue. But nod and nod away she does, before putting up her dukes as the signal to continue! Here comes the real test of any fighter, having gotten back up from a knockdown, with the only question being if she can survive and battle her way back into the pundits’ hearts!

Emma NOT waiting to f*ck around, immediately back to her first-round ways of CHARGING straight in for the newcomer! Chrissy barely has time to straighten herself upright before she’s forced to block a big overhand to the arms, Roberts plowing that right hand and rattling her entire body. But the abuse keeps coming, a steady stream of strapping hooks bashing away at Constanza’s belly, rocking her rapidly wilting form! Constanza’s in trouble, not having faced this level of pressure before on her shoulders, both literally and metaphorically, with Roberts switching to powerful swings into her failing arms, rocking her to the side several times as the Doll’s punches slam into the sides of her head, Emma trying to BLOW that guard right down and finally make her statement! Chrissy takes another heavy swipe across her jawline, which throws her helplessly over the top rope, looking slack-jawed and holding on for dear life! Emma sneaks in a couple more unnecessary blasts to her sides and her back, before the referee has SEEN ENOUGH, stepping in to COVER the poor rookie, saving her from permanent damage! It’s been one hell of a ride in her brief career, but Constanza is left collapsed in the arms of the official, who definitely made the right call here! This contest is OVER via TKO5!

Official Result: Emma Roberts defeats Chrissy Constanza via TKO5!

AFTER:
Roberts all smiles in the aftermath, raising both arms up high and taking a victory walk around the ring to celebrate yet another win, chuckling as she watches the groggy Costanza being carried to safety by her team for some much needed medical attention.

It's Chrissy’s first defeat of her FCBA career and after a huge upset on her debut she’s brought back down to earth by the veteran Doll despite a commendable effort here tonight.

Of course, right before leaving the ring, Roberts has some choice words for the rookie:

“Welcome to the FCBA Costanza…I suggest you stick to fighting other rookies like yourself, I mean, if you know what’s good for you. Stay in your lane or next time I’ll be FAR less merciful.” Emma says into one of the the reporter’s microphones right before climbing out of the ring and making her merry way out of the arena to the sound of loud cheers.

The Ice Queen improves her record for the year to 3-3 and despite losing some key bouts, she remains as dangerous as ever as she continues to chase that elusive flyweight title she came so close to several times but never managed to win. At 32, the gorgeous blonde actress’ got plenty of boxing years left and hopefully Emma can add a flyweight title to her already impressive record sooner rather than later.
