HAYLEY ATWELL VS SAYUKI MATSUMOTO

Hayley: 40 YO, 5’6 ½ (1.69 m) FCBA Record: 15-1609, 15 KO since 2015, Pretty Little Punchers

Sayuki: 37 YO, 5’7 ¾ (1.72 m), FCBA: 1-3-0, since 2016, Revolution Boxing

Before: “Although I’ve fought in the BBU as well as the FCBA, I’ve never had the pleasure of fighting Hayley Atwell. “ says Revolution Boxing fighter Sayuki Matsumoto. “ Admittedly, my FCBA experience was very light until this year, but I now have first FCA victory and I am ready to start building on it. Hayley is next step on my journey.”

“It’s a pleasure to fight you, Ms. Matsumoto,” says Hayley Atwell, “but I am obliged to warn that if you thin of me as a stepping stone, you;ll find I am a very slippery one.”

“I am ready for you,” Sayuki says with confidence.

“Well, I did warn you, now we just have to see how the actual fight,” Hayley says.

“Indeed, we will,” Sayuki said with confidence in her voice.

In the ring on the night of the fight, Hayley Atwell in a black one piece swimsuit with blue gloves and boots (black laces). Hair is in a top knot on the crown of her head Sayuki Matsumoto is wearing a shimmering flame red one piece with matching gloves and boots. Her hair is pulled back into a battle braid. Veteran lightweights patient as they listen to the familiar ring instructions and then tap gloves before going to their corners.DING! IT’S ON!

R1: It was not mentioned in the prefight, but Sayuki Matsumoto seems to have taken note of Hayley Atwell’s 36 DD bust and goes after that tempting back with slashing right/left moves. Hayley is thrown back on her heels in surprise. Then Sayuki adds some hook to the belly and she’s got Hayley gasping for air. However, Hayley gets her second wind and comes back at Sayuki to her massive rack (said to be 36 G). Sayuki is pushed back, but she digs in and pounds more Hayley Atwell jugg and belly. Hayley answering, but then Sayuki gets sneaky and hurls an overhand right that catches Hayley pull I the right eye. Hayley recoils as Sayuki goes back to Hayley’s midsection. Hayley rallying late with jug punching, but Sayuki able to edge her out on the judges; cards to get the win.

R2: Hayley Atwell comes charging out of her corner with a fierce look on her face, but Sayuki not intimidated as she plunges in against the PLP fighter. This quickly becomes another all-out boy battle with the two impressive racks drawing most of the leather. However Hayley is varying her attack micing stright in punches with side to side blows to make the Matsumoto mammaries slosh painfully. Satyuki hanging in there. She tries for another sneaky overhand right (Hayley right eye is swelling up quite niely by this point, but the trick dosn’t work twice. Hayley blocks the shot with her shoulder and then bangs Sayuki with a hard right of the side of her had. Sayuki nearly knocked off her feet. She has to cover up as Hayley swarms in punching away at Sayuki’s flank as well as her belly. Round ends with judges finding it close, but this time it is Hayley Atwell as the narrow winner.

R3: Both fighters out quickly from their corners, but Hayley is now showing some neat footwork as she draws Sayuki off balance early and the striking at her to the chin and jaw. Sayuki hit repeatedly by these hard smashes and uppercuts. She starts to look dazed and sluggish. This is all Hayley Atwell needs, she stuffs two right hooks into Sayuki’s belly to cause her to bend forward at the waist and then ONE BLASTING UPPERCUT AFTER ANOTHER TO SAYKUKIs chin. Sayuki’s red booted feet fly up in the air as she sent CRASHING TO THE CANVAS on her back. Sayuki sprawled there looking up at the lights as her eyelids flutter over glassy eyes.

Hayley departs for the neutral corner. The refree starts counting over the fallen Sayuki. Who raises herself up on her elbows and look around sleepily. Then she lowers herself back down as the official finishes:

“NINE!...TEN!...YOURE OUT!”

THE WINNER HAYLEY ATWELL DEFEATS SAYUKI MATSUMOTO KO#!

After: “I don’t know what she was thinking. I read up on her record. I couldn’t see any JMDD action, but she had to try and pull it against a former BBUU JMDD champion. I guess she knows better now!” Hayley Atwell sniffs as she watches Sayuki being escorted from the ring. She’s awake and on her feet, but looks a bit shaky. Hayley nursing that swollen right eye which is soon a memorable shiner.

“It was a tactic designed to surprise Hayley Atwell,” Sayuki says later. “It worked well enough to give her that black eye, but not long enough. I will just chalk this one up to an unfortunate choice in planning and move on.”

No one was expecting to she so much JMD action, but fans of that genre certainly had a couple of entertaining rounds. Unfortunately, for Sayuki Matsumoto, pounding Hayly Atwell; melons awoke the tigress in her and ended the fight in the 3rd. A very good outing for Hayley (who was 0-1 in 2023 up to this fight) and there is still plenty of time in the year to build on that. As for Sayuki Matsumoto we can only hope for a quick bounce back from this bout.
