“Aw, Swifty, you remembered,” says Mary, “but I remember being decked out like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and you running me so hard my legs just plain gave it. Of course, the good part of that was that I landed on you when it happened.”
“I told you stop calling me ‘Swifty’ and I could have been hurt when your bony body landed me.” Taylor growled.
“That was your own fault. You were the rider, you should realized when I was finished and at least had the sense clear. You were just enjoying it too much and ended up covered with bruises.”
“You better not try that again!” Taylor growled.
“I keep telling you that as that as the rider you have to be alert and stop blaming me. I lasted a darn long time and you know it!”
“At least you know I’m going to beat you again. I have beaten you 4 out 5 fights all totaled. I will be happy to do it again,” Taylor retorted.
“Don’t count your body saddles before they been strapped on,” retorted Mary.
“I’m counting the one I’ll be strapping on you, Winnie,:” Taylor fired back.

After: It takes a while for Mary to be pronounced ready, but Taylor and her body saddle are patient. When the okay is given, Taylor leads a unhappy, but resigned Mary to the middle of the ring for the body saddle to be strapped on.
“Thought you could beat me, didn’t you? Silly Mary, that one win you got over me was the fluke, I think this proves I am definitely your superior in boxing,” Taylor is chattering away as she tightens the straps.
“Gloat while you can, Swifty, I never give up,” Mary growled.
Taylor gives Mary a swat on the rump: “I keep telling you not to call me ‘Swifty’. You wonlt listen, Now you pay the price.”
Taylor swings aboard Mary, she distains the stirrups preferring to wrap her long legs around Mary’s body. She gives Mary hard swat on the rear and they are off around the ring. Taylor makes May maintain a fast pace for the first two circuits, but I the third she seems to realize Mary is losing steam, so she slowly the pace and they make fourth round after the third. Mary is now breathing hard and her legs are trembling. Taylor stops in the middle of the ring and slides off.
“Good horsey,” says Taylor. “Now what is my name?”
“Taylor,” Mary says wearily.
“Very good.”
“But I still prefer ‘Swifty’,” Mary says with a weary smile.
“You are impossible, Winnie, but I think I am getting fond of our rides,” Taylor says. Mary sinks to her hands and knees. “I will let you go. Let me know when you want to try again.”
“I am not giving up,” Mary says wearily. Taylor and her assistant remove the saddle and help Mary to her feet.
“OK, see you then, and I still don’t like you calling me ‘Swifty’,” Taylor said giving Mary one last swat on the rump.
“Live with it—Swifty,” Mary says and then trots off to the Foxfire corner.
Quite a battle, but once again Taylor Swift won out over a stubborn Mary Winstead. Mary looked to be coming on in the 5th ad 6th rounds, but Taylor got to her in 7th and didn’t let up until she had the KO. Another impressive win for the Fates Boxing champion. A painful loss for Mary, but she’s seldom let a setback discourage for her for long. |
